Those birds.are gorgeous 😍. Are you going to Kuala Lumpur when you go to Malaysia? If so, there’s a really impressive and large aviary there. You can see birds without having to traipse through too many jungles. ❤️ from 🇦🇺
Sunbirds do looked like humming bird. We are seeing convergent evolution where 2 separate and non related species showcases similar traits. Sunbirds can hover like hummingbird but they are much heavier so their hover are shorter.

Why bash the Philippines? Have you been to La Mesa Eco Park where some of those birds are located? The sanctuary is in Metro Manila only, the capital region. You need to have sex… chill and get off the baggage.
If you stay only in Metro Manila then you will not really see them ..In Mt Nacolod in Southern Leyte we have different endemic bird species. Some doesnt even have a name yet.
