Why freesync off?

it locks the hz of the monitor like mine 165hz with fps, so i will get 165fps maximum. this can be used at 240hz monitor for smoother gameplay

@tanto1212 thanks for the reply, I have Aoc 180hz monitor if I do freesync off and run unlimited frames I get all kinds of tearing, I'm trying to find the right setting balance between freesync on or off, with or without gsync.. Just haven't got there yet
