He was not overrated...he’s HoF. No doubt. Shockey got banged up early in his career. We were lucky to have him around as long as we did. He made a huge splash for us that is def gonna be remembered throughout history. By us I mean Giants Fans. This guy was with Andre Johnson winning the Rose Bowl making history before he was ever drafted by the NFL. I said it once I’ll say it again, we NEED ANOTHER Shockey on the Giants !! It’s essentially to our pass game!

Jeremy Shockey wasn't overrated. Tom Coughlin didnt use him correctly. In Coughlin offenses the tight end is never the main target. he's used mostly for blocking which was not one of shockeys strengths. thats why they were quick to let him go when they beat the pats in the super bowl the first time. Shockey was the original Rob Gronkowski. if anything i think he had all the tools to be better than Gronk. if he played today in the pats offense he would be unstoppable.

Shockey was known for his ability to make crucial blocks. No doubt the best TE the league has ever seen.
