Figma for Edu: Advanced prototyping workshop

Making prototypes of your designs gives you a way to test and iterate upon those designs and create a proof of concept of how they may work without having to fully develop them.
In this workshop, we will cover some of the newly released prototyping features in Figma such as variables, expressions, and conditionals. We will also use variables with interactive components to demonstrate how to make interactions with fewer frames and iterate upon them more easily.
Led by Figma’s Designer Advocate for Education Miguel 'Miggi' Cardona, this is an intermediate monthly demo is for students, educators, teachers, instructors, teaching assistants, and those in the ed-tech space.

Can anyone create the Boolean True or False associated with the cart? -Timestamp ( 17:13).
Figma, I don't see any options for me to create a false boolean in the libraries? Has there been some update?

In the prototype settings, remove the device type that you may have set if there are prototypes of many sizes you are testing within that page.

I'm having issues with the conditional for making the negative button not to decrease the item in the card when its 0. I followed it the way it was done... but still doesn't work

Ok, I've figured it out... it was subtle but Miggi removed the previous set variable for the items in the cart before then adding the conditional. That's what I was missing.

It is. The student's account needs to be verified for education at Figma.com/education and the file should reside on an education team to gain access to the advanced prototyping.

I think the same. I see no point in having variables, components, tokens and all this stuff that is useful to developers only. Can't they just click on the design and take it from the values already applied? Designers have become like secretaries - have to document everything in 5 different ways to be able to say the same thing it's already written on the screen anywyay.
