I'm so excited about my new rose gold hair color! It was time for a change and this color turned out to be the perfect tone ever! Layering colors always helps to fill the hair to give the best dimension! Hope you guys like it!
Formulas:
Foiled with Loreal Blond Studio w/ 20vol + 1/8 olaplex
PRE-colored with Guy Tang MyDentity 9rb w/ 6vol + 1/16 olaplex
SHADDOW ROOT IS A SECRET
Topped with Redken Shades Cream 10gr 05RR + 80gr CLEAR w/ 10vol + 1/16 olaplex

Don't normally comment on videos but I'm sure Guy Tang wouldn't approve of somebody keeping "Secrets" while making a tutorial. Styalists like this are what's wrong in the industry.

Ok so we are trying to make rose gold hair dye and you cover up the very reason we are here....

i got my hair done at the salon for $1k, and i did a better job myself with $250. these disclaimers always piss me off. i will never go to a professional again. stop assuming people can't learn for themselves, and if they fuck up, it was their choice. it's not like they don't pay you to fix it for them. the worst thing is when you pay a high end salon and they fuck up your hair anyway. wasted 9 hours of my life and had to live with super damaged hair until it was long enough to chop off. not worth my time or my money.
Kyomi wtf did you do to your hair that would cost 1k
- double bleach on long hair (hair was down to my lower back); $260 each bleach.
- balayage costed another $260, even though it turned into an ombre because he failed the balayage
- 2 inch trim was $60
- $45 for olaplex. total without tip = $885.
- i tipped $150
- grand total = $1035
this was a high end salon with stylists who entered competitions and did shows. my stylist was even called the "Guy Tang" of Toronto (Canada). considering he can't balayage properly, he doesn't even compare.
tbh i wouldn't have tipped if i wasn't happy with it... i agree completely though, i feel like some hair dressers have the nastiest attitudes about people doing their hair at home.

I once spent 7 hours getting my hair done which I had NOT planned for and so I had no food and would not recommend.

Then ya ain't ready to get your hair done. Even to dye it black, you'll be there over an hour. If it was that easy to just slap on a haircolor on every client we have :)

Nah don’t leave hair coloring to the professionals. Anyone can learn how to dye their own hair. Educate yourself, take your time, experiment, and have fun.
Exactly if a person is good and professional enough, they wouldn't have to tell people not to do it at home for fear it would turn out better.
This looks more peachy than rose gold to me but I still love it! 🍑 wish I could afford to do awesome colors like this!

I'm doing some rose gold this Tuesday on a client, inventing my own way! I explained to her that she had to be okay with slightly more pink just in case, you can never predict the exact outcome of color😊

I would of kept all those "unwanted" gold tones in your blonde girrrrl. I think it is much easier to achieve rose gold and it fades more peachy rather than pink ;) love this color though, I thinks it's more of a deep smokey pink. Regardless you rock it and I love it. I see myself having pink hair for a very long time, it just feels right for me.

+Alexis Vasquez I made up my own formula for my shadow root, but I simply kept it secret because it was a test of a mix to see how well it fades.
If you’re doing this for pros there are no “secrets”. Guy certainly doesn’t and your using his products, he’s quite the opposite. Just explain you’re “testing” to see how it fades. To hold back your “secret” 🙄 just gives off the wrong vibe, girl. You want pros to follow you but this is one of the least professional “tutorials” I’ve ever seen. Clearly I’m not alone in my thoughts based on other comments. What happened to WE vs ME attitude? Keep your “secret” LOL. It’s evident you’ll be only one watching your “tutorials” which turn out to be Shannon’s anyway. Last point, NO “pro” should be selling MLM. BUH BYE.

I am getting my hair rose gold in two days. A friend told me that as soon as I got home from the salon, the first time I wash my hair that it would all wash out and be really light pink. How long did yours last and is it a waste of money?

Gracie Max the same thing happened to me. She lifted virgin dark hair in a few hrs and I ended up with green hair. I paid her 750$. And she made me pay again to get it fixed. I never went back

I love your hair! Call me crazy but around the time you did this I colored my already blond hair to dark red (dark burgundy brown is the actual name) now I'm sort of missing the blond and thinking abt changing to this color...I do my own out of the box so the only thing holding me back is that I'm worried abt the damage I'll do to my hair with having to remove color.

MissJupiter Sorry I'm not Alexsis Mae... but clear is basically the product with no pigment, no color, so that the color can be diluted into a less intense color. It's similar to mixing paints, for example, adding red to white to get pink. Only in this case it's clear, instead of white.
In Deutschland machen das Friseure auch oft. Stelle es dir so vor. Du hast die Inhaltsstoffe(nicht alle aber..you know!) einer Farbe ohne der Pigmente. Damit hast du eine Base und die Farben lassen sich einfacher verblenden. Bei Ombré und Balayage wird diese Technik oft verwendet. :)

+Low Qualily when properly cared for it can last for up to 2 months, you just go back in for a toner.
If I ate while my hair was getting lightened, bleach would end up in my food. :/
And my hands were screaming with Brit not wearing gloves. 😂

I know this is a hella old comment but my teacher in hair school.always told me that you dont need gloves while doing foils 🤷♀️ she said if you do, you're being too messy. She was all about being neat and organized for stuff like that and talked about how it looks more professional.

Lol dont you realize there are many shades of rose gold. Some are more pinky some are more apricot, some are muavy. Some are lvl 9 and some are lvl 7! So many varieties.

How does this fade on blonde hair?
she mentioned Olaplex, is she using Olaplex in 10vol bleach? It seems like that would stop it from lifting at all, how do you decide what developer to use with Olaplex?
Vee Glessner she said 20 vol with 1/8 olaplex. that's less olaplex than recommended but the bleach is gonna work because 1, they're taking SUPER fine sections, and 2, the foiling will take a while so they need the slowest acting lightener. they also explained that they're using 20 vol on the darkest pieces and 10 vol on the kinda dark golden pieces.
Sorry I see that I wasn't clear before, I understand using Olaplex in the 20vol, but using it in 10 seems like that lightener wouldn't do much. Thanks for explaining the amount of Olaplex added though!
There is no longer a need to bump up the developer anymore when using olaplex due to the new measurments. 10v is still 10v.

+Vee Glessner Olaplex has a new mixing ratio, so it allows to not bump the developer any more. I use 1/16-1/8 in foils and I don't have any problems!

+Katie Burgess this was a very long process. Took about 2 hours to highlight. Next time it won't be so long, but there was a lot of hair and we had to do so many to make me almost all blonde.

Just quick question was the lady putting the higher/stronger percentage bleach on the first part painted down the lower at bottom but then folding it in and painting it on top of the higher ...if it's all squished together it sure guna just eat through and go onto the bottom of section of hair /slice whatever ,,so what was the point of that unless that's not what was happening ? Xx

You have to have light blonde hair to achieve this color.
