Yomi One (a.k.a. Mikael Nybom) has been quietly moving the gears behind Sweden's dance music scene since 2007, but now he's stepping out from the shadows to set the record straight. Hailing from Stockholm with a decade-plus résumé of working with some of dance music's finest (even if you didn't know it), Yomi One is here to remind you that acid never dies and neither does a good rave.
Inspired by the heady days of the late '80s and early '90s, when acid house ruled, techno was still underground, and raves were all about warehouses and sweat, Yomi One's sound pays homage to the raw energy of Chicago, Detroit, and London. Armed with a TB-303, TR-808, and a few more pieces of gear that sound like cheat codes for electronic music, Yomi One is on a mission to bring that authentic acid and techno grit straight to your speakers.
