Hey Chris. Always Love your video,s. Craptastic or Crap Tastic, spell check still does not like it ?? Google quote : the quality of being so crappy that the object is humorous or desireable. That mostly covers it, LOL. Not sure about the use of Copper as a bushing material ?? Might need a replacement at some point. But it is a fix you wanted. Happy you could resolve the problem easily. But that is the reason i watch. You make it happen. Thanks for posting your video,s. Always enjoy. Peter.
Thanks, Peter. Yeah at some point a proper sleeve might be in order. The concentricity of that pulley was worse than the rotor on the motor 🤣, and that's saying something. But, it's running better than it has most likely for many years and I'm good with that😊. Thanks again 😁.
I did the same fix on a vintage Delta Milwaukee that had an aluminum step cone pulley.
I made the split sleeve from thin, aluminum sheet.
Sadly, finding new pulleys of the same dimension can be difficult and/or costly. A sleeve is the best option imho 😊.
Using this copper pipe, you don't have water in the bathroom anymore, but at least you can drill holes.
Totally worth it 😁.
Nice fix! Use a dead low hammer to tap on cast pulleys, they shatter very easily, I’ve done it so now I know.
Or at the very least a block of wood lol. I cringe when I see that too 😬
Nice! That's going to make life easier in the shop.
Still going strong 😁

Thanks! Good call🙂.
what is the spooky movement at 6:20?
Oh wow! Yeah that IS weird! 🤣 No idea 🤣
My guess is either the steps in the pulley are not cast concentric or the Guy didn't have
it chucked up concentric in the lathe when boring.
👍👍👍
🍻😊🍻
