If we aren’t blaming Caleb then Poles is the one to blame and now it’s not looking like he’s the genius everyone thought he was which is a giant problem.

There’s a lot new for that offense. A lot of people are making mistakes, so they just need to work together more and that will help them get it figured out.
Things I’m optimistic about for Caleb: 1. He is still keeping his eyes down field despite the chaos around him. 2. He took several shots from a collapsing pocket and didn’t bail, meaning he did trust his O-Line to do their jobs several times. 3. The game was within SIX?! Things have to get better with Caleb, the OL and the coaching. But they are still 1-1 and just lost by 1 score to a team on the road who could be playing deep into the playoffs. Things take time.
This Bears fan didn’t drink the kool-aid. It’s as if we all forgot Caleb is a rookie. This season was and always will be about his progression. Any Bears fan that was expecting greatness off the bat needs their head checked. Peyton Manning still holds the rookie record for most INTs. Patience.
But the QB threw 2 INTs., missed open Receivers, and took a sack that pushed them out of FG range. If Bear fans can blame Justin Fields for loosing to the Broncos last year after going 28/35, for 335 yards and 4 TDs, then you can blame Caleb Williams for this lose.
I'm not ready to annoint Houston, we looked bad against the Titans too. And we looked bad at the start of 2023. And we looked bad at the start of 2022. Weird trend? Who could we blame for this?
@TheTacoKing2 I'm not a Washington fan...just a person with 2 eyes. Daniel's is 40-53 for 410 yards through 2 games, no picks and no passing TDs. Bears don’t have the talent at oline to run wide zone runs. Need to do more power style running, counters, and draws. Having a rookie attempt almost 40 passes is a recipe for disaster
Houston's run D is for real. Look at the numbers against the Colts. JT got bottled up. If we play any team without a mobile qb, it would be lights out good.
Didnt sam make 70mil out the gate??? 🤔 Sam Bradford with out the injuries would've been a godsend. Dude has balls the size of jupiter taking hits that i even felt through the tv tbh.
What’s the leash the other players are going to give tho? You had your star WR banging the table for Fields to stay, and that same player is already showing signs of frustration.
If you cant provide an offensive line thats halfway decent you will never know if your guy is THE GUY or not. There are no great QBs who played around a trash OLine. Rodgers and Brady had some of the best lines in the league during their primes. Line matters
CWs got sacked a lot in college. But unlike Justin Fields he still seemed to have some pocket awareness of oncoming pass rushers. Which to me an NFL QB simply has to have for many reasons. But so far in his brief NFL stint I’m not seeing that awareness. There’s no way when that Texans monster came in from the right side that a Mahomes or CJ Stroud wouldn’t have seen that guy and exited stage left. If Caleb starts showing some signs there I think he’ll be ok. But if this is who he is then he’s in big trouble.
Bears are building from the bottom up this is the 2nd year of accumulation for the regime and 1st year qb in new offense for everyone. The bears have some weapons, have a young cheap talent at qb and a top 5 defense. Let this play out we arent ready to win it all but i still think they are 6-3 or 7-2 by time they get to the nfc north teams
Not to worried about this team there GOING to win 5 out of there next 6 they got the colts rams panthers jags commanders and cardinals they’ll lose 1 of those games but they could very well win all of them to
Saying the bears Had to choose is bs. They didn't need to draft Rome with that pick for their 3rd wide out. Trade back get a first for next year and still can draft best center in the draft later in that round. Ez. They're just poorly managed
This sucks as a Bears fan, I believe we’re going to destroy Caleb, just like our other QBs in the past, but after all the problems we had, all we needed was for Rome to catch the ball in the in-zone we would have won…..
I can’t stand these new bandwagon Texans fans. “Oh it wasn’t that close of a game we played terrible” brother you lit up our defense in the first half and we adjusted. We had a below average offense and still the game was close. “Oh well we had a lot of penalties and drops or fumbles whatever” okay the bears had almost as many penalties. Give credit to the other team sometimes instead of just saying “it wasn’t that close we didn’t play good” maybe the bears defense just shut you down in the second half.
Hou as everyone is putting in afc championship made the redzone once against the bears and fumbled it. Let the young kid and offense grow it cant be this bad all year
Carolina has the consensus worst owner in the league. They're not going anywhere until Tepper sells or decides to hire an elite GM and then step completely out of the way.
How can you not blame the o line when the bears have had a non existent run game for the games in a row now. If your top back has 18 yards in a game the rest of your game is going to suffer. The o line couldn’t move anyone creat any lines or stop hardly any pressures
Of course we put them in the playoffs. They lost by 6 against the Texans 13-19. If Chicago had a top 15 O-line they would have won the game. Plus a dropped TD pass and a dropped INT. That game came down to the last drive. A better line means more time to throw and better running from the backs. The Bears will not be a playoff team if their o-line doesn't block.
Ryan poles knew the line was the problem and rarely did anything to fix it no legit C and decided to roll with davis. Poles drafted wright and figured thats it for the oline smh and he’s supposed to be a former offensive lineman
So the qb that dominated his rookie season that was drafted 2nd is not generational but Zack Wilson 2.0 bka Caleb Williams needs time to figure it out 🤔. Can we at least agree that he isn’t “generational”?
lol, if the Bears don’t ruin Caleb. What’s the track record look like on developing QBs for the Chicago Bears? We’re gonna ruin him and it’ll just be another season for the Windy City. Gotta prove me otherwise now. Fields got the benefit of the doubt, but in Poles 3rd year here, he should’ve known how to fix the problems.
Caleb got beat up??? Throwing deandre swift right into coverage getting reggie bush level destroyed… kmet got destroyed because he threw him right intk the linebackers. Dj is fed up and seen on tv saying to tyson “dawg i need you”. Locker room has already turned on caleb.
The Bears don’t have a good coach. I couldn’t believe they didn’t fire him after last season. If they don’t get a good young coach the Bears will stay the Bears of old and Caleb Williams will be a bust.
He shit 💩 the bed. I not sure I saw battle. I saw defeat. I saw desperation and zero clarity. Caleb couldn’t beat Notre Dame. Came in with an improved offensive line and elite weapons. Justin did more with less. DJ Moore is ready to get traded. The line has no confidence in a generational nail tech. The receivers are looking at Caleb, and not finding a leader. They see a cheer leader, with great nails. They didn’t like how serious Justin was. Now we are a laughing stock.
Fields, Moore, MHJ, and picks to fix the oline. IN POLES WE TRUST 😂😂😂😂😂. Moore already looks like he's done, he said last year these qbs are not better than Fields.
Couple of problems we have the OL sucks & the play calls & why is Chris Morgan still with the Bears (head of the OL) & the Bears should have fired him, he’s been with the Bears the last 3yrs, they fired everyone else minus Chris Brown, he sucks as we all can tell….
Im sorry but fines are slap in the wrists. Unless its major amount of money. Dude should be suspended for one game. Should have been tossed for in the game he was in. Then to go play the victim in the Media. Like WTF. Bears have 2 more relatively tough games weeks 3 and 4. Put in Tyson Bagent for those 2 weeks. Then put Caleb back in for the panthers game. 5 easy games in a row to let him settle in. No brainer. Can’t let this kid get beat up already.
Things have to get better with Caleb, the OL and the coaching. But they are still 1-1 and just lost by 1 score to a team on the road who could be playing deep into the playoffs. Things take time.
Teams make adjustments. The Bears offensive coordinator’s have too also readjust. They didn’t , you see the results of an unprepared coaching staff
This Bears fan didn’t drink the kool-aid. It’s as if we all forgot Caleb is a rookie. This season was and always will be about his progression. Any Bears fan that was expecting greatness off the bat needs their head checked. Peyton Manning still holds the rookie record for most INTs. Patience.
Cj was 0-2 and was sacked 11 times last year. So as a Bears fan, im still excited to be 9-8.
testament to the defense
But the QB threw 2 INTs., missed open Receivers, and took a sack that pushed them out of FG range.
If Bear fans can blame Justin Fields for loosing to the Broncos last year after going 28/35, for 335 yards and 4 TDs, then you can blame Caleb Williams for this lose.
I'm not ready to annoint Houston, we looked bad against the Titans too. And we looked bad at the start of 2023. And we looked bad at the start of 2022. Weird trend? Who could we blame for this?
We're 1-1 lost against a superbowl contender. They had a horrible game and still lost by 6.
They'll be fine
It looked like Justin vs Cleveland in 2021. Poles is a 🤡
2021
oh no he is now 1-1 and lost a close game to VERY good team. What the hale is wrong with people? From a Texan fan.
Most bears fans have that doomer mindset, probably from all the whiney suburban baby’s who always got their way in life 😂
@@dukeofhaggard9450We are not all like that.

@TheTacoKing2 I'm not a Washington fan...just a person with 2 eyes. Daniel's is 40-53 for 410 yards through 2 games, no picks and no passing TDs. Twice as many rushing yards as Caleb...Caleb is 37-66 for 267 with 2 picks and no TDs through 2 games. Everyone would say the Bears have better weapons and a better defense. Not my fault you're blind
A lot of fans were cheering for the odunze pick but I wanted a lineman. Center and right guard are turnstiles
You don't just pass up on Rome Odunze lmao
@@hockeyfan1799 WR depth is huge in today’s NFL good O line play is hard to come by.
@@wesleystewart1193 Rome is the first receiver taken in most drafts so
@@hockeyfan1799 no. Jefferson jamaar JSN and Marvin Harrison jr were all better coming out of college so idk what you mean by most he’d be wr1
@@wesleystewart1193 Yes. Rome Odunze is an eye-popping talent that would go as the first receiver off the board in many drafts. Jefferson was the 5th receiver taken. JSN was NOT better than Rome, as he wasn't taken until the 20th pick. Don't speak on things you know nothing about.
Bears don’t have the talent at oline to run wide zone runs. Need to do more power style running, counters, and draws. Having a rookie attempt almost 40 passes is a recipe for disaster
In regards to the run game. I would rather see Herbert in the mix, and throw in so RB screens plays for swift instead. Just something different.
Fields is a FA after the season! Still time to make this right. 😂
If you cant provide an offensive line thats halfway decent you will never know if your guy is THE GUY or not. There are no great QBs who played around a trash OLine. Rodgers and Brady had some of the best lines in the league during their primes. Line matters
The booth should call down when someone starts a riot and not even a flag was thrown. That was a joke
Give him some time translates to get him a better o-line
Not to worried about this team there GOING to win 5 out of there next 6 they got the colts rams panthers jags commanders and cardinals they’ll lose 1 of those games but they could very well win all of them to
Give him some time on the bench and put Bagent in so we can win now
Saying the bears Had to choose is bs.
The defense is the only reason the Bears hung in that game. The O-line and Waldron are a joke, and should not be let off the hook.
just admit you were wrong that it was going to be easier for him from what you saw in preseason
The center Coleman needs to be FIRED!
The Bears won’t run the ball against Indy. The coaching staff doesn’t get it.
Both answers are unfortunately 100% correct
He looked just like Justin Fields out there .
At least Justin can run fast lol. And Justin has a real nice deep ball. Caleb was off by 15-30 yards on deep throws it was wild
Caleb was hyped as generational and y’all stay making excuses for him but yet Fields got all the blame
Hou as everyone is putting in afc championship made the redzone once against the bears and fumbled it. Let the young kid and offense grow it cant be this bad all year
The Texans got away with blatant holding on key plays 8 times and one was a hands to the face and holding in front of the refs
Carolina has the consensus worst owner in the league. They're not going anywhere until Tepper sells or decides to hire an elite GM and then step completely out of the way.
That's Courtland Innegan. Dre beat the F out of him that afternoon.
Patrick mahomes also threw 2 interceptions on Sunday as well so let’s not overreact people it’s game 2.
Yall Bears fans? Wtf, haha. Didn’t say a word about the Texans at all really.
Sam “Glass knees” Bradford. Ah yes, he was quite good tho lol
lol, if the Bears don’t ruin Caleb.
The offensive line and play calling was a dumpster fire! Caleb will make mistakes because he is running for his life!
he joined a 7 win team, that has a better offense all across the board.
Bears fans want overnight success because of all the b.s seasons and teams they presented to their fans
Nope. He gets no time. Justin had garbage as a team around him. This guy has a much better team. If he fails it's him.
Houston failed to put up 20 points. I don't see the greatness
Bust
Couple of problems we have the OL sucks & the play calls & why is Chris Morgan still with the Bears (head of the OL) & the Bears should have fired him, he’s been with the Bears the last 3yrs, they fired everyone else minus Chris Brown, he sucks as we all can tell….
Play calling is the problem. The OC and HC are a.couple of schmucks.
Moore Michael Walker Timothy Hernandez Kevin
Im sorry but fines are slap in the wrists. Unless its major amount of money. Dude should be suspended for one game. Should have been tossed for in the game he was in. Then to go play the victim in the Media. Like WTF. Not to mention he stood up and punched the one guy just standing there doing nothing, But sure punching the back up RB really showed that Dog in him.
Super talented but a horrible leader. That’s the real issue. He missed even when everything went as planned. He will get better but it’s a lesson in humility.
build your line first.. its not that hard.
You forgot to mention calib is gay
