Hi Mike allthough there was a mix up on timings at least you had a boat trip and a more relaxed one as the trip in front of you would have been hurried knowing that you were waiting . Cheers
A lot braver than me. These paddle boarders with their kids. I’m not a very good swimmer unfortunately. So my choice on that would be to Wade a little into The River. Or paddle & dip my feet in. I don’t trust depths either. Years ago my friend Liz took us all to the Wye valley & suggested we all went kayaking I said Ied just watch from the banks. But she said that would be impossible as if they went quite a way down stream Ied never keep up 😂. I’m always cautious around rivers if I go in them. I like wading in. Have been 4 a dip in the River Severn up country near Budely. It was a hot day. Water was lovely & cool.
Don't let it stop you practicing. Remember practice makes perfect. Slow and steady wins the race. Keep learning and trying, and your swimming technique will improve. Never give up.
@@kellyashfordtrains2642 Ied love to be able to swim. I’m not really afraid of the water. More scared of going out of my depth. I like the thought of wild swimming too.
They should of put your coach party on first you was there for the correct time your driver should of put his foot down the other coach was there to early but gets first option not fair on your party
Really enjoying all of your content since you started. Until this episode. Your wife made a comment whilst a disabled gentleman was going down the steps to board the boat. “ just push him down “ She says, timer was at 18:55 if you wish to check. Totally uncalled for. Is your wife against disabled people? Please stop her making discriminating remarks. Besides this please keep up the good work.
Oh that's very untypical of her I can assure you. Naughty girl ! She has a couple of disabled friends, one of which she used to take her dog out for walks regularly every week for several years, as she couldn't do it herself..
Either your Driver or the other one should have checked the timings first. Always check timings well in advance of arrival. You can avoid colliding with someone else's boat trip at the same time. You could have had the boat ride a day earlier, if it had been possible. Save the best till last, I say. Shame on the Coach Driver for not letting you save the Dean Forest Railway till last, that's what he should have done. Boat trip first, Dean Forest Railway ride all day last. Trust me, if you'd had the boat trip first at the very beginning, you would have avoided clashing with the timing of the other Coach Driver.
I did appear to be in a minority regarding enjoying the railway. Many were put off by the rush on arriving and departing, the crowds and that grinding noise coming from our coach suspension. I certainly would have liked more time there!

It all worked out fine in the end!

We did also see people floating along without any craft to ride in or on.

As we shall hear in the next and final part, the error was made in the Blakes office, so none of the drivers was at fault.
