Made two loaves and it has since replaced my other banana bread recipe of 40 years! I let my discard sit on the counter for 30 minutes first. It is always bubbly in the fridge anyway. It is so moist, mine came out darker but could be my oven. I will test the temperature of the oven next time. Thanks.
Omg! Typing this while eating your banana bread! Soo buttery, moist and fragrant. Really glad to found your channel. Thank you for the recipe, really. Gonna subs!
@@ButteredSideUp yes, not gonna lie, the best banana bread ever 😁 and now I'm making your pull apart rolls. Still waiting for the first proofing. It's kinda hot in here, so I guess it'll be done in just 4 to 5 hours. Wish me nailed your recipe ☺️
I absolutely love this recipe. I have made a couple of tweaks. I just wanted to stop by and recommend putting a printable recipe on the blog. Although I don’t mind watching this video every week as I’m making it it would definitely be a little more convenient! ❤️
TH-cam shows me ur video ❤️❤️ this sourdough banana bread looks sooo delicious 😊❤️ you're content is really great 😊 perfect recipe ❤️ new friend here stay blessed always ❤️
You didn't cream the butter and flour as stated in time stamp :33 . Thats why I thought this was a different unique approach, but it's just the basic process way of making banana bread, just with added sourdough discard. I went ahead and completed the recipe as i was following, step by step and it turned out good.👌
Kateřina Korbašová I haven’t personally tried it, but I would assume that if you used all purpose flour for the rest, the rye starter shouldn’t affect it too much.
INGREDIENTS: 1 1/2 cups organic all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp unrefined salt 3/4 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup grass-fed butter, softened 1/4 cup cane sugar 3 medium very ripe bananas 2 large pastured eggs 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 cup active sourdough starter 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Aaliya VLOGS Thank you! ✨
I'm gonna try to making this recipe, thanks for the tip, especially Vietnamese cinnamon! Looks so delicious!!❤
Hope you enjoy! I think you'll like the Vietnamese cinnamon if you've never tried it before! 😊
Looks sooo delicious , would be great if you have ingredients in grams too 😭😭
May I know how many ml cup you used?
I came across of this recipe and can’t wait to try it. Could you write the measurement in gram please?
Sorry, I didn't test the recipe in grams!

That was a mistake that I said flour instead of sugar. I creamed together the butter and sugar at that time stamp. 😊
How many °f please
Does it work with rye sourdough starter as well?
Kateřina Korbašová I haven’t personally tried it, but I would assume that if you used all purpose flour for the rest, the rye starter shouldn’t affect it too much.
Muy rico 😋
If you need the starter to be active and bubbly it isnt discard. A discard recipe would use inactive starter
Christina Barrucco You can use either for this recipe, but it will be 👌🏻 if you catch your starter when it’s still bubbly.
can u add in gram to it will be lot easier . Please
👍
Your blog says nothing about measurements of the ingredients at all. Where is the actual recipe?
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cups organic all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp unrefined salt
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup grass-fed butter, softened
1/4 cup cane sugar
3 medium very ripe bananas
2 large pastured eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup active sourdough starter
1 cup dark chocolate chips
The recipe is in the video description 😒
Not a sweet tasting loaf, but overall excellent !
Measuring flour in cups and cutting the sides of the metal pan with a metal knife are triggering.
I'm just evil like that. 😜
You call it sourdough discard but your recipe clearly states it's NOT discard but your active recently fed starter... bizarre
You can use either! An active starter is even better in my opinion, but discard will work as well!
Hi I’m new to sourdough starter baking. Does the starter add a benefit to the rise or flavor?
