His famous line of Avo Cigars are part of the Davidoff Line, purchased from Avo in the mid-'90s for $10mill. I had the lovely privilege of meeting, being charmed by, chatting, smoking Avo Cigars, listening as He tickled the ivories, and dancing with Him in 2010 at a Dominican Republic Rooftop Restaurant while on a Davidoff Cigar Tour for Retailers😘It's one of those nights that will always bring Me great Joy & Gratitude!! A warm, charismatic, gracious, talented, visionary & happy Man who sadly went Home in 2017💜

I met Avo Uvezian [it's the elderly gentleman with a straw hat, dancing with Storm Large] once while I was vacationing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He was having dinner in a posh restaurant, as was I. I recognized him instantly from his pictures in the Cigar Aficionado Magazine, and since he was wearing his traditional white suit and flat top buff, straw hat. Being a fellow Armenian, I walked to his table and started talking to him in Armenian. I knew he could speak Armenian because he had immigrated from Lebanon, just like me, and Armenian is almost like a second language there. He was very pleasantly surprised to meet a fellow Armenian and chat with him in his mother tongue. At that time, I was a cigar smoker and a cigar connoisseur so we had a long conversation together on the subject. He was a very charming, gracious, classy gentleman, the kind of which is slowly disappearing.
