    • @FrolicLab

      Yes you can connect, but only to charge not as a backup for inverter. Charging/discharging depends on the BMS used, for the one I used charging voltage can be 15-18V @ 20A peak. Do check the datasheet of your BMS, Voltage and current can vary.✌🏻

    any body with a calculator ....just put in 3.7 volts X 3 = 11.1 volts so not ...12volts .....and dont solder...... Is it safe to solder on a battery?
    You should never solder directly on a battery. It might not be dangerous, but you will hurt the cell. The best solution is to spot weld a new nickel-plated steel tab and than solder

    • @FrolicLab

      When every cell reaches its max. Potential(4.2V) the BMS stops charging (overcharge protection). And also the BMS is rated for 18V max. Charging voltage.

    How do you recomend to connect 12 cells to get the same 12 v?

    • @FrolicLab
      @FrolicLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Arrange 3 cells in series, for 12 cells there will be 4 three cells combination. Now connect these 4 in parallel, hence a 3s-4p arrangement.

    Your video is incorrect, the charging should be at 12.6 volts, but it is still showing the same voltage when you tested, so it is not charging

    • @FrolicLab
      @FrolicLab  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The charging voltage used was 12.20V because I didn't had greater than that,& if you carefully notice the voltage before charging was 11.50V & after connecting to charge the Voltage was 11.70V it is due to the BMS that i used which was balancing the voltage & slowly raising the voltage , but after 2 hrs of charging, the Voltage of the batteries was around 12.20V.

      @prakharvj3362 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Each battery is rated for a full charge of 4.25V which makes it 12.75V for 3 in series, I used a step up module XL6009 and charged batteries by setting it (XL6009) to 13V.

      @@FrolicLab The question is more towards understanding why are you using 6 batteries if you only want to reach 12v.

    • @FrolicLab
      @FrolicLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To increase current from 2Ah from 3 batteries, to 4Ah from 6 batteries i.e to double the power for the same voltage.

      @Fusion technology Yes it does, it works fantastic, and it is easy, but now i spot weld it to the cells, and do not solder it anymore,
      yeah only the cables that comes from the BMS to the spot welded Nickel Strips, so no heat goes to the cells.
