Would like to see wolves/hounds. I’ve drawn more a Celtic style with hounds. I guess because I love dogs! Both styles are just very cool. I’ve seen a piece in a museum in Ireland that has both Viking and Celtic in it and it’s really spectacular. Great work!
Yggdrasil / Tree of life artwork requested. 2 of our Ren Fair characters decend frim the Oak and Holly Kings so vines, oak and Holly leaf designs requested also. Nature stuff basically.
I find it hard to keep my swivel knife blade sharp and polished. Do you think it would be worth to make the switch to ceramic? Did it make a big difference for you? Please consider making a full length video. I know i will watch it.
Hey Dakota, if you don't let it dry enough you will get bad linework, it just looks sloppy. When it's just perfect what you cut stays and is nice and clean. If it's too wet it collapses in on itself, and lines become inconsistent.
What is the thickness of your vegtan leather? do you use the same thickness for all your tooled leather projects? i am going to purchase a roll but i need to know the thickness of the leather. Thank you in advance.
Love these videos, but have to admit the music is a little distracting. It's such a busy song that sometimes it pulls me out of focusing on what you're saying. But great lessons and tutorials! Thanks so much for sharing!
Kiki Gaarthuis I have a couple of videos of me drawing, just be patient with it and get good gradual curves on the body and tongue and work on a good tail and head design.
@@DarkHorseWorkshop :D I edit for my wife's art channel. Over 600 videos to date! I make knives and now leatherworking, but there's not enough hours in a day to make my own channel.
Anyone have suggestions on animals I could try and draw in a Viking style? Would love to hear from you guys.
Wolves?
Ravens or bears. It would also be cool if you made a Mjölnir carving.
Dark Horse Workshop
Your horse logo would be cool
A stallion would be cool I think
Wolves and ravens sounds awesome. Beautiful work.
Do an octopus. It's got tentacles so it's kind of like the serpents you do but you can add different curls and textures.
Dude do what you do. Cause your amazing. The art the carvings everything. I am blown away.
Wolves and ravens would be awesome to see. Very cool piece, by the way.
The additional cuts really changed the whole appearance of the design. Thanks for sharing. Paz
I was being lazy honestly and almost didn't do it. Glad I did.
It'd be really interesting to see a peacock in this style 😊
You should tackle fenrir the wolf or the ravens
Amazing!
Please do a full unedited carving vid! It'd be so soothing to work to!

Awesome work! I'd love to see what you'd do with a dragon!
You make it look easier than wood carving.
awesome work man!
I think that looks great. Ive always wants to see how its done so i can make viking armour with patterns like this
Great job. I know I’d watch the full length real time video. Thanks again.
I’d like to see you do a bear, boar or elk.
what about a giant coochie
Beautiful work as always!
I would like to see the full time video, with a link to this type of video, awesome work mate. Thankyou for sharing :)
Very nice work! Keep it up! And thank you.
What were you doing around 3:12,where you were tapping the carving with the mallet?
Very cool.
Great work again ! How about an Elk, or an Owl, or a Rabid squirrel....just kidding lol. Maybe a thunderbird?

I've got mixed comments on this.. Some are shocked I even polish a ceramic blade, but it's always worked for me when I do that.
I have some ideas for "what's best" videos. Glue is my first one. Swivel blades could be a second.
Maybe some more wolves and ravens seeing as those were very popular as they were Odin's animals.
Good call, I'll make it happen.
I'm gonna need that unedited version. Lol

Bad Ass Bro! Try a Celtic wolf's head.

It varies dpeending on the project. Thicker is always better for the tooling, but not always better for the project.
Great job .Sleipnir?
Oh that's a perfect one. Was almost my logo.

Thanks for the input.
Odin's horse Sleipnir, and ravens.
How do you make drawings like this? I always fail when I try to draw something like you do.

Dark Horse Workshop thank you😊
Just be patient, erase lots, and worry about all your under over lines after you're done for the most part.
wolves and ravens. :)
Elk, wolf, eagle.......duck.
Hugin and munin
Eagal
what was more tedious, beveling all that linework or editing the video?
I enjoy editing honestly. Always the beveling. Hahaha.
