You are lucky. My model arrived with the wrong switches selected and then when I set the correct switches, the lights didn't work anyway, so it's gone back. It looks and sounds great thought.
A great review there, you covered everything perfectly, i was lucky it arrived at my friend's Model shop a week last Friday, think he was the first shop to receive it! Its absolutely amazing so much so i have two others 37423 and 37609 both with the wipac lighting. Would you agree there is still no cold start on the first and second batch? Think the next batch due early next year will have. I have ordered Colas 34116 and the limited edition Tangoed livery Harry Needle, 37405 i cannot wait for that! Really enjoyed your fine review so you have a well deserved sub from me. Look forward to your next review, all the best cheers Nick.
Thanks Nick! I also couldn't get the cold start sound working even though it does have a function. I'm not getting another from the second batch because I have some more preordered locos on the way next year! (also can't wait)
Apologies for the camerawork. I had to control the loco with a different device and/or reach over the track. I didn’t have a small tripod handy but I probably should’ve done 😅
Great locos, until the motors go faulty! Watch out for erratic running, that's the first sign! I've experienced the same fault occurring across their loco range unfortunately. Such a shame that these otherwise superb locos have this Achilles Heel.
@@SlowLineTrainspotting Glad to hear that. It usually occurs after a few hours of use so make sure you run it regularly, otherwise the guarantee will expire before the fault shows itself. I'm pleased to say that so far Accurascale 's customer service have been good/efficient and have responded, processed the returns and refunded quickly. I hope this will continue despite the increasing numbers of returns they're getting! If their customer service ever lets me down I will never buy from them again, as with any retailer too.
@@SlowLineTrainspotting If you watch Peter Dixon's Torridon Road YT channel you'll see that he fixed his Accurascale class 37 with this motor problem. He had to remove the motor, dismantle it and clean the commutator, after which it worked fine again. look on his channel for that "how to fix it" episode, it was only a month or two ago. It's probably due to the carbon brushes wearing and depositing debris, carbon dust, clogging the gaps in the commutator between sections.
I will NEVER buy from accurascale again.. Sent back 2 class 37s with issues and they were complete ARSES... I ended up telling them to CANCEL over £5000.00 of pre-orders, over £4000.00 were already paid for.. I have 2 others that they motors stop, the sound hunts and the sound won't turn off... AVOID AT ALL COSTS.... If you do buy one.. Prepare to be ripped off...
my local model shops wont stock them due to many problems with them
Very informative, great review! The annotations and explanations are really helpful
Thank you!
Such good model from accurascale😊
What a nice review, I love the reading montage :) I would be too scared to fit all the details from the bag
Indeed I was too. Still contemplating the snowploughs but they have to be aligned perfectly and symmetrically to look good. 😅 I’m bad at symmetry.
fantastic model.

Ah was yours DCC ready or sound fitted?
@SlowLineTrainspotting Sound fitted but the switches were set for a non ESU decoder

Mines in a box at home waiting for me to finish work.
Your camera work could do with being a bit more stable. I'm getting sea sick

I have heard of them doing that, but my one is still going strong. Hopefully it will continue that way
