- In this quest to see something travelling at the speed of light we stumble upon a forgotten branch of astronomy: Variable Nebula. These pulsating nebula have ripples of light flowing through them. It is my sincere wish that us amateurs club together to record these incredible space objects... and that's exactly what we're doing as part of a project called The Big Amateur Telescope.

Hey folks, This is a short one, not an epic. Although in terms of the content it is an important one. I'm gonna be in a small cottage in Wales when this premiers. If I'm not online its because something bad has happened to my internet connection. Fingers crossed.

My weekend just got better

@@Astrobiscuit You can never get away with anything on TH-cam LMAO. I broke the 180° shutter rule for 20 seconds in a video I made 3 years ago and still get comments about it. Your production skills are amazing, best wishes in your endeavors.

@@Astrobiscuit Unfortunately no, cuz i don't have such a big telescope but im gonna try with an Achromatic Refractor, A barlow lense and autoguiding, and maybe a mono camera

I remember showing some videos to my friends whilst we were wild camping on Pen y Fan last summer, watching the planets rotate above us! they were blown away by your content, and they're not massive astro-geeks! the way you explain things makes it easy for non-science-y folks to understand, and the images you take are stunning. I hope you're able to come back as soon as possible, and hopefully make a business out of making videos on youtube.

@@Astrobiscuit You're welcome and thank you for all the videos and the info about capturing nebula ripples. Haven't done any armature astronomy for a long time and my scope is gathering dust. I have an old Meade 6" Newtonian I bought in the late 70's when I was a teen.
