Well I didn't think the old light rig was even very special, certainly not compared to other major touring acts. Even big DJs have more elaborate light shows. What made them special was Kuroda manning them live to the music. The new rig is fantastic though, huge step up.
At the end similar vibe to the the holy grail 7-10-99 chalkdust, I love that type of jam
as little as it gets mentioned, the tweezer from that show is one of my favorites. '99 was a great year! but for phish, all years are great years

U cant b surprised 4 dudes in their 50s who been on tour for 30yrs chilled alittle bit. And I to speak for 1 aging fan who still likes to dance, can say at times for me it is for the better. Im no longer a fan of one time period Im just a fan.

This has always been my favorite Phish song. They really bring it. I cant think of any other guitarust who can perform a tsunami of endless solos. At 60 years old and listening to countless bands scross all genres, Id say its a safe bet this is the case.

That is a good while bud. I myself now only see them when convenient but everytime is well worth it.
My first show was in 1996 and this tour is the best technical playing I've seen from Trey in that time.
Big Cypress was my last show to my gosh before that it was Prague and Copenhagen yeah I've been out of the loop and these guys have been up to something good so you know I don't know anything but these guys are amazing and I'm from San Rafael Marin County San Francisco California imagine that I love Jerry but these guys are just out of this universe Rastafari Tucson Arizona Sonoran Desert yes I Keep On Keepin On

@@bluecollar825 well, I did go to a Deer Creek show in 2009 when they came back. But I still partly consider IT to be my final.
I didn't go in 2004 because I didn't want to see a show while knowing it would be my last.(since they had announced they were calling it quits after that tour) and Coventry was a wreck so I was glad IT was my last.
.
But anyway I bought 2 tickets to Deer Creek 2009 and me and best friend drove there. (About 2 hours west of us). He had been getting cleaned up off of heroin and had started methadone about a month earlier.
We found our old friends up in our usual spot in the lawn and it was pretty cool. But I didn't really enjoy the show. Maybe because I didn't dose or take any MDMA.
Anyways, earlier in the week friend said he was freezing in the car when it was hot outside. So he definitely had a fever. And his legs has been hurting for several weeks. He seemed fine at the show. But the next morning I called him and he seemed out of it. Then later in the day he didn't answer.
Next day his dad found him on the floor basically in a coma. He then spent a week in ICU and then died. Endocarditis, you can look it up, it a heart infection that junkies get. So he'd had it for months probably and it was way too late to help him by the time he ended up in hospital.
So I just decided that would be my last show. Even though other old friends still go. He and I drove there to that Deer Creek show just 2 of us in my car and it was the last time we even talked. So just since he can't go I don't want to any more. Plus I didnt think the music was that good in 09 and I like having IT be my last. I used to like to either dose or get Molly/pressies and nowadays I don't want to deal with trying to find stuff in the lot. With all the research chemicals out there I don't trust anything.
And now I more listen to bands like Sleep and Om and Sunn O))) and I do listen to the Dead a lot

I’d say this Chalkdust was pretty uptempo fast. I’ve heard many times it’s actually harder to play slow. But hey, just glad to hear great long phish jams.

Best show of the Tour thus far The Tweezer>Twist>Piper is epic Reba and Run Like An Antelope were both stellar maybe set 1 wins and anytime we's saying that we are going to most likely have a great show because set 2s almost always win hands down with at least 1 big 20 min jam. I love Esther and Lizards and YEM and Horn FEFU Contact They played an impeccable Foam night 1 had they played that and Carini on this night that would have made this a 4.7 up there with the best ever but as is it is a solid 4.5 Fans Got this one on the head as usual. The Tweezer is the standout as was the Chalk-dust from night 1 Destiny was very well played not to be overshadowed by Mike's Groove a Great Weekapaug and I think ALBTD is under rated and I got to hear the very first one . . .I love getting a cover like a Fire or Mellow Mood and I love even better getting a debut especially a Phish debut like Marissa a Mike Song that would fit nice between the Groove better than Horse Silent in the Morning IMHO
Night 1 was not as great as Night 2 but any show at Georgia Atlanta or Alpharetta is going to be magical and shining bright like a Light in the sky because they love that party town and for good reason DEM peaches are the bomb this time of year they are sweet and go great with whippets after a show Dancing in a curly cue dance like dem eagles birds of a feather flocking in the corner scritch! Wolfman's was Set 1 first night highlight DWYS is under rated I love the lyrics in that song. . .we move through shitty OH weather we know that are days are so fucking few yeah so we live life beyond the dream and struggle together cause love oh love will carry us through. . .the building guitar solo is so pretty Trey I love that song Fuck the haters that song is awesome You and Fishman are right the Phans are wrong! Steam is my wife's favorite Phish tune so it has a specials place in my heart with Miss You for my DAD who died of cancer stage 4 at 52 Miss You everyday my earthly father is fishing with Jesus on the silver lake in my mind and one day for real I hope and pray.
I love you Phish Paige is my favorite member I adore piano The Squirming Coil set 1 or encore please next time instead of middle of the set. I love love love this band. We love you from deep in our hearts and minds. The lyrics to Leaves make me cry with the appropriate fall around the corner. Bathtub Gin also fits autumn !!!!!
