I've been testing this out for a week and for me it's a keeper. My skin is normal to dry and very sensitive/reactive--psoriasis, eczema--and matured over half a century. I agree the color selection is difficult online. I skipped the 'sponge' and went with the ELF complexion duo. Because of the sensitivity of my skin, I do a gentle press and very light sweeping motion if needed to blend. It hasn't been cakey or dry looking, nor has it gathered in my pores or lines. My favorite days have been with this applied over just Vanicream facial moisturizer sunscreen and a bit of concealer. If I feel the skin looks too dewy, from the sunscreen, I pat a bit of Mally's face defender on before I apply the foundation.
I'm very oily, 39, and purchased this because it love the concealer so much and this didn't disappoint. It looks flawless for about 5 hours and then I need to blot my nose. It's so bluring compared to my previous powder foundation too. It's a winner! My only complaint is the price is up there.
@KyMali928 So I just pulled out my Bare Minerals because I was curious. My primer was estee lauder, and it wasn't even a contest in favor of ND. Bare Minerals just looks much more visible and ND was more skin like. Monday I'm going to try it with the Bare Minerals primer and see if that makes a difference. Will update soon!
@KyMali928 They performed equally with the bareminerals primer. I like that there is less mess with ND's pressed powder, but I know that BM makes a pressed powered to. Kinda comes down to preferences and what's on sale for me lol! But they are both great products!
Interesting. I was a Bare Minerals die hard fan from late 20s to early 40s then the powder stopped looking good. I desert-island-love the Hy Glam concealer, but not sure for my now 50 yr old skin if I’d go back to powder. As always, I was so glad to see your video pop up as I’m home from work with an MS flare up and needing distraction. Have been rewatching older videos of yours and an awesome dog groomer, hahaha.
Thank you for showing all of the beauty products you do, especially for people like me with dry skin. I didn't used to have dry skin, as I've gotten older, it's changed alot. Makes wondering what to try now. I appreciate you. I like seeing the Natasha Denona products but it's just to expensive for me. I can't justify spending like 130.00 on an eye shadow pallette. I think about that price, and for me, if I would spend that it would be on some nice silver jewelry I could one day leave to my girls. The thought of the makeup having an expiration date in a few years and having to throw it away is another reason I just can't do it. I thank you for showing us all what you get and how it works for you.
Natasha denona's best eyeshadow palletes are the smaller ones for $69, and I never buy them unless they are at least 20% off. That's still really expensive, but I do love the formula and I use them a lot so it ends up being worth it for me. I couldn't justify the big $130 palettes either unless it was my job to do makeup. Other eyeshadow brands that have AMAZING formulas for a better price tag are blend bunny (my top fave) and cosmic brushes (#2 formula and super great price but costs extra in shipping to the US). I do find the prices of these powder foundations really high. I don't use foundation every day but I can't imagine using it up and having to buy a new one every month. That being said, I think the competition is Make Up For Ever or Jane Iredale powder foundations, and the Natasha Denona is significantly better cost per gram than either of those(especially Jane iredale which is crazy expensive). I love what you said about remembering that makeup expires. It helps me a lot to think about that and think if I'll be able to use what I have before it expires. It's funny how there are a lot of luxury brands selling "collector" makeup which is just silly! It's not an heirloom that you'll pass down to your heirs!
I have to agree with you on the price. I generally try drugstore products before I'll spend $55 on a foundation. That said, this is getting to be a typical price for department store foundation. I'm not saying I like it, but as prices are now, it's not that far out of line. Would I pay it? No, unless I really couldn't find anything cheaper that's satisfactory. Doesn't have to be my Holy Grail, just workable.
Yup, I understand. The drugstore prices are definitely going higher as well. I have been trying a few things that I never did before to see if I can hit on something that works for me too. I just want it to be dependable and not cake or slide off my face lol I guess we just have to keep playing until we figure it out 😉😁 @20thcenturyrelic

That powder foundation is lovely on you as well as the rest of the makeup! The foundation compact has a refill which is 39 dollars and then with a sale price of 20 % off when she has that discount, the makeup is much more affordable. Also the compact is over 0.4 oz which is higher than most fills.
If it's too light it collects in little pools in my pores like a golf ball 😅 I'm actually better off getting a slightly too deep shade than a slightly too light shade lol
And fyi if u have any foundation that is too light, too dark, too warm, not warm enough, whatever teh case may be, u can always fix it by a lil of that L.A. Girl mixing pigments that are like $8 at places like cvs! They really do work and I have found that those are the best! I've also used their Pro.conceal corrector for the same thing tho! You are killing it with your content! I have dry fair skin. I use the Laura Gellar Spackle original primer with powder foundation. My favorite powder foundation is Make Up Forever. I always set with setting spray to help it meld together. Honestly, with that application my skin looks flawless, better than some of my favorite liquid foundations. Given that, I will not try ND as you compared to Make Up Forever and I love that foundation. I would not recommend for longevity in 90+ heat. Also, my favorite way to apply is with the Bare Minerals kabuki brush which I have had for 10+ years and still does a wonderful job.

You look really pretty Jen ☺️💜 I used the new foundation this morning and I really like it so far. I applied it at 5:30 this morning (west coast time) and I just looked at my face and it’s still going strong! I have more dry skin at the moment so I prepped my skin really good and I used my Beauty Blender pocket puff for application. I love the new NYX powder blush you used in today’s video! I can’t wait to get the tangerine shade I believe it’s called “Sooner the Butta”
Thanks for the review...I have normal/combo skin but definitely more "glowy" in the summer months. Powder foundations always scare me as I am more mature/older than you and they tend to settle into fine lines and look cakey. Using the setting spray is a great idea and I will give this foundation a try. Love the beachy hair!
I have dry skin too and love powder foundations. I recently tried the Jane Iredale $35 trial kit and love it but why are they SOOO expensive!! That is a whole system so I am going to try with my own primer and setting spray and see if it works as well. Good to know about the new ELF setting spray and that it worked well for the ND. Fingers crossed! Thanks Jen, love your videos! ❤
Thank you for sharing! I’m dry-combo and have tried Many powders but yet to find one that doesn’t accentuate flaws, look horribly dry and powdery in the morning when I’m dry and/or awful later in the afternoon once I’m oily. 😂 The struggle is real. I’ll have to give the Jane Iredale a try.
Wow! The Bubble tinted SPF is a fabulous under-base layer for anything I put on top of it, and it doesn't smear away when I buff Buff BUFF my mineral powders! Its especially pretty with Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB cream; finally some glow that doesn't slip into the greasy range! I have so many "foundation" type products, so I don't think I'll be getting the ND product you show here - but thanks so very much for the Bubble recommendation! You look lovely as always!

Color turned out great, I thought for sure it would be too light. Looks really good on you, the final look too. I have pretty dry skin, but I'm going to add this to my wishlist :)
Thank so much Jen for your review on this powder. I have dry skin too and so I like when I can get your opinion of a product. Your honesty is invaluable.
Love your hair! Have you ever tried a curl cream and scrunching/diffusing to see if it would get curly? Mine looks about like that when I air dry. But if I give it a little attention, it gets pretty curly.
Very curious about this and the Jane I iredale. I’m a powder foundation lover. price tag hurts. Currently using the Sheglam powder foundations it’s pretty amazing. I feel that the glow it gives would be dry skin friendly. But…Looking for a less controversial powder foundation!
Hi Jen. Loving the natural hair. The foundation looked very nice. I feel like I would finish this powder up quickly. I’m a sahm and $50+ kind of hurts. 😬
I've been hesitating on this one because I'm unsure about the shades. I also use n2 in the concealer which is a tad brightening, but n3 was really dark. I'm surprised to see r3 looks so light compared to the concealer! Maybe I will try n3 in the powder and see if that works.
I wore Jane Iredale powder foundation for all of my 20s and most of my 30s but in my 40s, it stopped looking good and I moved away from it. This is the first powder foundation that I've liked since those days and I like this a lot. I have normal to dry mature skin. Picking a shade online is really hard though and I'm sorry to say that I had to order multiples to find the one that worked best. I would give anything for testers or samples because I hate the waste.
I absolutely love the ND foundation! I have very dry skin with rosacea circles on my cheeks. Until this foundation, I was using Laura Geller which did pretty good but tended to get patchy during the day. I recently went out on a limb and bought the very expensive ND foundation in N2. Perfect match. It is great. Lasts all day. Covers the red enough for it to look “blushy”. No dry look, no caking and lasts all day. So I got the concealer to match in N2 and it is great also. I have been using the sponge that came with the foundation but I plan to try the fluffy applicator that you suggested for even better coverage. So happy with this foundation.
I’m over 50 with slightly dry skin on my face. I wasn’t considering this powder foundation but after seeing your review I would. The price is steep but if it’s good then I don’t mind. Still salty over ND pulling out of Sephora Canada and refuse to order from her website since shipping is astronomically high but I purchase anything ND from Beautylish now. I lover her newest concealer so there’s a great chance I will give this a shot too.
OMG the drama! Just another reason to love your videos I don’t think I’ve ever seen this much suspense leading into one of your videos.Loved it! Enjoyed every minute of it ❤
I love the foundation. It’s pricey, yes, but refills are cheaper. I am not a fan of using drugstore setting spray with high quality foundation, though. I have found the sponge in the compact very useful.
Every time you have worn that Viseart palette and the Nix blush , you glow! So so beautiful. Thank you for the foundation review. I’m looking for less liquids when I travel.
I love your natural waves ❤ I have natural curl as well and with some mousse and a diffuser I can have 80’s hair in a heartbeat!!! 😂😂 I love powder foundations when I’m in hurry, otherwise I’m a liquid foundation girl for sure.
Interested in a mini-ranking of the ND with the other ones you mentioned as being good 👀 I feel like you've been more excited about some of the other ones in the past
I'm a huge Natasha D fan. I love her powder eye formulas and am sold on her concealer. Like you, I appreciate that she includes rosey undertones. I also like Laura Geller powder foundation and have quite a stash of her products right now. After a while, I will try the ND.
I'm a shade match with you, so happy to see that it wasn't too light. My skin is oily, with large pores, so hoping this covers without emphasizing the wrong things.
Hi Jen, thanks for the video. I like your makeup look in this video, especially your eye look. I've had very dry skin since I took Accutane when I was 19, and I've literally never tried a powder foundation. I'm surprised this one worked so well on you. That said, in my experience, some powder products are "moister" than others and work better on dry skin. Re the ND concealer, I know a lot of people like it, but it does have fragrance in it. I have no idea why a brand would put fragrance in a product worn so close to the eyes, but they did. This would be a guaranteed rash for me, and possibly red, watery eyes also.
I'm intrigued but I think I will wait for her Hy Glam liquid foundation. I love the concealer so much and she said the liquid foundation will be coming soon1
Hi Jen, thank you for doing this video, I am curious about this product,I have oily skin, and with hot flushes I feel this powder foundation will be my best friend in summer, looking forward to it coming to us in Australia. Love Katherine xoxo
I might have to give this powder and concealer a try. I have normal to oily skin and I'm eager to see how it performs. We don't have ulta in Australia so I'll try Sephora. It's to expensive to order from ND website with the exchange rate at the moment
Jen, can you please tell me which powder you feel is the best for dry , 59 year old skin. I can't buy them all (so wish I could 😊) Osmosis powder foundation is a great one for dry skin.
Hey Jen I saw the video of you trying Peripera products. What do you think about the Peripera ink glasting lipglosses? I'm thinking of getting the shade way to go. It looks like a pretty color. Is the formula nice?
I need a concealer that is self setting but not cakey .. my inner eye now has a shadow no matter what concealer I use the shadow still shows I have to re apply a fair color several times & let dry I used to use back in the day but stopped making it was a wet & wild stick iv used it till it ran out I only needed a little bit it was the only concealer that worked .. So difficult when you spend money, but nothing works
Have you tried a color corrector? They're usually peachy colored and they counteract the darkness much better than a concealer does. Then you can put concealer on top. :)
Can't wait to get mine! Tried to use your code, Jen, but apparently we can only use it once. It did not let me use your code as I used it previously on another purchase. ❤
Jen... I am 54yrs old with dry, sensitive skin. I've been using Maybelline BB Fresh Cream for " No Makeup" Makeup Days and it's just not working anymore. Do you prefer BB or CC Cream? I do color correct even with my NARS Light Reflecting Foundation. If you have any brands you like, I'd love to know. Thanks.

You look so pretty!! Love your hair, too.
I have combo skin and I tried this powder foundation out loved it.
Thank you for sharing! I’m dry-combo and have tried Many powders but yet to find one that doesn’t accentuate flaws, look horribly dry and powdery in the morning when I’m dry and/or awful later in the afternoon once I’m oily in my T zone. 😂 The struggle is real. I’ll have to try this one.
I love the covergirl powder foundation! Thanks to u of course! And that cheap sponge it comes with really does work! 🙌
Loving the wavy hair Jen! Very pretty!! Have a great weekend ❤
It looks beautiful on you!!
I do think that looks great for a powder foundation. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jen! I think for longevity, it looks pretty good! The color match (imo) is spot on. It’s a winner! And I love that sweater!
❤️💜💚
Color turned out great, I thought for sure it would be too light. Looks really good on you, the final look too. I have pretty dry skin, but I'm going to add this to my wishlist :)
I bought N3 which is a good match for me. I have combo skin and I ❤ it. I do not use setting spray and it still lasts all day in me
Thank you for sharing
Thank so much Jen for your review on this powder. I have dry skin too and so I like when I can get your opinion of a product. Your honesty is invaluable.
SO EXCITED TO WATCH THIS ONE RIGHT NOW!!
Looks pretty, powder foundations don’t look good on my dry skin, they emphasize the texture on me.😢❤
Just bought the Bubble today due to your recommendation and can't wait till tomorrow
Love ❤ your natural hair (air dried & wavy)! 😊
Tell me if you like the ND powder foundation better than the Makeup Forever foundation, I appreciate it! Thanks Jen
Love your hair! Have you ever tried a curl cream and scrunching/diffusing to see if it would get curly? Mine looks about like that when I air dry. But if I give it a little attention, it gets pretty curly.
Hi Tina! Yes, if I twist it or scrunch it more it can get pretty curly for sure! :)
I bought the foundation. I have normal to dry skin and I can’t wait to give this a whirl. I am intrigued.
Im 55 and hope this cooperates with combo oily skin. I need satin for dry perimeter and blurring that mattifies my oily T zone
Your hair looks gorgeous!!!!
What a pretty look. I want that shadow palette ! I wasn’t sure about the powder
Hi Jen..you look beautiful and your an absolute pleasure to watch. Thank you for another great video!❤
I'm so curious about this! Not sure if I could justify the price (of any of her products tbh lol) but I'm interested to see how it works! 💖🙌
I just love your videos! You have a similar skin type as mine and all your recommendations work so well for me! Thank you for such a thorough video!
Love your eyeshadow! Wish I was good at it. No matter how many videos I watch on how to apply it and how much I practice, I still stink at it lol.
If you have a good blending brush 🖌️ it'll make a huge difference! 🌸💗🌸
I lover her newest concealer so there’s a great chance I will give this a shot too.
looks like the Tirtir Korean foundation which i love for 1/2 the price
Isn't that a cream?
@@JenPhelps yes but when you applied it, I was reminded of Tirtir which looks instant airbrushed look
OMG the drama! Just another reason to love your videos
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this much suspense leading into one of your videos.Loved it! Enjoyed every minute of it ❤
It looks good Jenn. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet because i’m concerned about the powder living in AZ. Your review is helpful.
I’m concerned about the price. 😂
I'm in AZ right now and I'm thinking the powder will melt off in the heat.
I love the foundation. It’s pricey, yes, but refills are cheaper. I am not a fan of using drugstore setting spray with high quality foundation, though. I have found the sponge in the compact very useful.
Love the color of your hair!
Every time you have worn that Viseart palette and the Nix blush , you glow! So so beautiful. Thank you for the foundation review. I’m looking for less liquids when I travel.
Love foundation videos! Take care and stay safe.❤❤❤❤❤
I love your natural waves ❤
I have natural curl as well and with some mousse and a diffuser I can have 80’s hair in a heartbeat!!! 😂😂
I love powder foundations when I’m in hurry, otherwise I’m a liquid foundation girl for sure.
Your hair is pretty.
Love Natasha Denona! And I need all the blurring and dry-skin forgiveness I can get! Thank you for resharing because I forgot to watch it! 💕🦋
I'm a shade match with you, so happy to see that it wasn't too light. My skin is oily, with large pores, so hoping this covers without emphasizing the wrong things.
Looks beautiful honestly. I'm so so with powder foundations but am now intrigued by this. Guess going to have to put on my wishlist.
I love your hair air dried! Such a lovely wave!
Love your hair! Thank you for the review on this foundation, I'm influenced!
Evening Jen the powder foundation looks good thanks for sharing
See you soon ❤
Hey Jen!! The powder looks great, and I love ND products but $55 is nuts, especially in the current economic state. I’ll pass unless it is 50% off.
Yessss. This is not one I could justify $55 on.
I was dying to see ur review!!
I love your sweater! 😊
That is the shade I have in my cart, and it does look lighter than I thought it would 🤔
I'm intrigued but I think I will wait for her Hy Glam liquid foundation.
Thank you for an interesting and useful video 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I might have to give this powder and concealer a try. I have normal to oily skin and I'm eager to see how it performs. We don't have ulta in Australia so I'll try Sephora. It's to expensive to order from ND website with the exchange rate at the moment
That blush looks amazing😊
Thank you for the review. I don’t think it was the best foundation I’ve seen on you.
Love your sweater!! 🥰
Jen, can you please tell me which powder you feel is the best for dry , 59 year old skin. I can't buy them all (so wish I could 😊)
Osmosis powder foundation is a great one for dry skin.
Hey Jen I saw the video of you trying Peripera products. What do you think about the Peripera ink glasting lipglosses? I'm thinking of getting the shade way to go. It looks like a pretty color. Is the formula nice?
I need a concealer that is self setting but not cakey .. my inner eye now has a shadow no matter what concealer I use the shadow still shows I have to re apply a fair color several times & let dry
I used to use back in the day but stopped making it was a wet & wild stick iv used it till it ran out I only needed a little bit it was the only concealer that worked ..
Oh wow really? I had no idea it was one use only. 😥
Thank you for your review
Morning Jen. Glad you did the video. Wond ered how this would work. Thanx! Have a lovely day. 😊
Thanks.
How did I miss this 7 hrs ago!?? Lol! Watching now!!
I could not spend 55 for it but it looks good
55 is crazyy!
You can always wet your sponge if you want even more coverage.
Is the Moira Complete Wear powder foundation still your favorite or do you like this one even better?
I honestly haven't used the Moira one in a while. I like it but when I reach for a powder these days I normally use the Cover Girl or Jane Iredale.
Hi Jen! I love your videos and watch often ❤ I’m noticing in your recent videos, you seem out of focus and I’m not seeing as much detail...Or maybe it’s just me 😂 I know you had asked, so just want to mention it 😊
My girls always on it!
I know this is an ND review but did u get the loreal true match liquid blushes that dropped for pre-order yesterday I believe?? I tagged u! I bought 2, a glowy and a dewy one. Also those new covergirl skin enhancer primers (6 I think) come in a couple days for me so probably be in store any day now! Lol! I cannot wait for the L'Oreal infallible highlighters that are coming. I grabbed one that won't be here till end of May to June 3rd, and I still haven't been able to get the other shade. I'm sure those will be in a store b4 they ship too! Sorry just really excited about the new stuff and wanted to know if my girl was on it too! 😘🙌 btw, la colors and la girl launched some new products I love what I've tried but what the rest! Like the makeup Melting balm from la colors!!!
