What a great song. Love the album. You know when u get bored of todays music u can go back in time and listen to great music like this with attitude, kick ass music with meaning and soul.
I can so identify with lyrics on this! Because I too was bullied all through my school years 😥 listening to it was cathartic. Thank you Ian 😘 very powerful track ❤❤
This album since I discovered it a couple of months ago has become my favourite Cult album. What a great collection of songs, Ian's got swagger and Billy is just masterful, delivering the most exquisite phrases of gorgeous guitaring and like its every track. Thank you.
@@Frank-sm9yl That whole Rick Rubin era was a huge creative mis-step, in my humble opinion. The early material from the Death Cult releases via "Dreamtime", "Resurrection Joe" and "Love" was just as heartfelt and profound as this. So too, to my mind and ears, is the latest LP, "Under the Midnight Sun". Just my take, of course.
@NachosFairy - yes, that is Ian Astbury around 2009. He had hip surgery and gained a little weight , but maintained his beautiful voice. In 2010- he is healthier and mending and looking more like the 1999-2000 Ian Astbury- importantly, he is feeling better. Rock on, Ian!!!
Has the "Goat" album really become hard enough to find that it's considered rare, now? I guess it'd make sense...I've only ever seen one copy in a store and it was when I bought it in '00-'01. I still always count "Black Sun" as my favorite Cult song.
I don't think so. If someone has a favorite group or singer, they've likely listened to some songs far more than others. Even if it seems hard to put together a top 5, you have one. 1.Black Sun 2.Love Removal Machine 3.True Believers 4.Heart of Soul 5.The Saint
I have 20 bands in my top five. people say that's impossible. Not for me it's not. I think it has something to do with the way surfing contests are structured. 1- first place 1 - second place 2 - third place (this is where it varies depending on how many are in each heat) 8 - fourth place 28 - fifth place
I think people have trouble appreciating his blues style vs. the sublime LOVE voice. Here, his voice is still in it's prime, but different. Maybe he's in his early 30s on this song. Even now, it is still very good, but also the voice changes over time anyway.
@garygareth sorry garygareth it is called growth wisdom ; do we not all change in beauty not found in the eye of the beholder his voice may not be the same but the magic is still there you just have to open your eyes ears and heart to experience it peace brother
thank you a lot!!!!!i was neart to end my life..because of loosing my identity in the nwo....choose your weapon is a great great ...a stone in lifetime...its the cult!"!!and nothing else
peccato questa splendida canzone non abbia mai avuto la giusta considerazione...un po' come tutto il disco "The Cult" che invece io reputo all'altezza...dal vivo porò è snobbato anche dal gruppo che non propone nessuna canzone
Hello we're Grunge now! This song is decent. This album would have been WAY better with a different producer than Bob Rock, it's too experimental for him. It gor pretentious. Maybe the Alice in Chains producer or Cantrell himself.

this will go down in history as one of this great band's greatest contributions
This is a new song for me to hear. I like it. The video is wonderful.
Their most eclectic and personal album. Just perfect. Powerful words, vocals and musicianship.
This is an amazing album. I love this song.
this song is one of my all time favs by the Cult. It kicks ass with a powerful punch. agreed, the whole album was way underrated. thanks so much!
Never heard this before...just blew me away lyrically and musically...NOt to mention the video!!!! Just awesome!

one of his best vocals!
I'm not a huge Cult fan, but this album is one of my all time favs. Superb.
They've come a long way since " love removal machine ". Much more heartfelt and profound.

Au sommet artistique d'une oeuvre déjà très haute... et constante ! Une perle parmi tant d'autres dans ce "Black Sheep" méconnu et démentiel !
love the Cult ! 🐭
@NachosFairy It's called aging and it happens to all of us!! Ian's still one of my all time favorite singers, no matter what he looks like!!
The Cult traz sempre um toque de misticismo em sua obra...amo essa banda! ❤
Rock on Ian!!!
yes this is a real song and "saints are down" too
Geniales los Cult !!!!!!!!!

The first cult album I ever heard. Hot summer day, sitting on the top of a mountain in Ireland tripping my balls off, what an experience!
The album is great to trip to! It's awesome to see someone that feels the same.
+Blind Terry Tucci it's impossible to have a favorite cult song. I think it's impossible to have a top 5

Luv this song, like the build up of it and the creepiness of it!
It starts like "I want more, by shotgun messiah" I love both of those songs.
Many thanks to you= so happy you liked it!
More Cult songs to come!!!

@alejojp1 - well... it is 'rare 'to find this song anywhere (even online). and, the 'new' is my channel version of it. hope that answers some.
I can dig it.
Smoke 1 for me. 👍💯☮️🎸🌟
You can hear "The Doors" influence on this...I'm sure Jim must've been channeled on this track. Haven't heard this for a wee while...

Great song! But what do u mean by "new" and "rare"? It's just the original version. No encuentro nada nuevo en esta version.

Are serious?? It's one of their best LPs...
maintained his beautiful voice? Id disagree with that dont like his voice at all now, its ruined. Its nothing like it used to be unfortunately.
