Theres tons of gems out there, that have not been heard in years. Frankly music back then the garbage they put out today. Todays autotone bull shit, today they lost the know how to make music, it was a differnt sound back then, todays music does not pass for music, its all noise. Todays music is about, money, looks, and fame with no talent.
This has now been no1 on the greatest hits charts 7 times and spent 55 weeks at the top and the album has been no1 268 weeks and still counting its such a great song and it could be no1 again soon look out willie nelson they are after the magic 60 weeks he had in 1982 😊😊
This song has been played each day this week and will hit the gold chart as its the single of week after 43 years its to chart will it be no 1 in time it's a great song he has such talent a classic song the old songs mean more to us than today's so called songs we all love the old songs that's why they spend weeks on gold
Alejandro Bustamante I went to all boys High School, I shouldn't complain dad was football coach it was free, only good thing I got to play Football @ Baseball
Would love to have seen them live, but this was before the Internet and social media so had to rely on the local papers for gig dates. First heard of them after they wrote "Who Do You Think You Are" for Candlewick Green then bought as many discs as I knew of from their days on the BASF label to their own Splash label. "Only When I'm Lonely" was a classic ballad, but they could write upbeat numbers too with unbeatable hook lines.
They dont make music like this anymore, back then was about peace, and love. Todays music is about, evil, sex, violence. Money looks, and fame with no talent.
"Sky High" was released in fall 1975 by Wes Ferrell's Chelsea Records in the US, which went bankrupt shortly after. By the time masters could be recovered and the new deal with 20th Century could be done, the group had lost all momentum here. Nothing at all wrong with this one.
Makes me also think of the great Paul Da Vinci ( who sang with the Rubettes on sugar baby love ) Paul had the same time 1975 great hit in europe with Your baby ain't your baby anymore. Or Gerard Joling ( dutch singer ) who had a great hit in europe with ticket to the tropics
I've watched this video over a 100x, thank you Music Mike for keep the forgotten hits alive!!! 😁💯
