The green tiger barbs would nip the angelfish occasionally. But the tank was big enough(6 feet) that they would move on. I had them in there a year with no problems. The black skirt tetras worked well to distract the tiger barbs and angelfish also.
Hey fish dude, Nice tank....what kind of tetras are those blue/green orange...I've never seen them before awesome colors !!! Where can you get them? What kind of soil did you put under sand ? I like that combo as well . Thanks
Thanks, Those are green tiger barbs. They can be aggressive so get a group and have decent space for them. You can find them at most local fish stores. Also for the soil, make sure it is organic soil. Put the soil down first, 2inches and then get the soil wet, and then cover the wet soil with a sand about 2 inches. That will keep the soil down and provide enough depth for plants to grow. Happy fishkeeping
