You so seldom hear this talked about. I have only floated once years ago in London but I've never forgotten it. It was an hour, not at all claustrophobic, and I astral planed! It was AMAZING. I strongly urge you to try it if you haven't. Not sure it's much of thing any more in the UK though, sadly.
I love going to have a float. I have been going regularly in Brisbane, Australian for the past year. I usually fall asleep within the first ten minutes and the music wakes me up to get out. Always get the best sleep that night and find that the magnesium helps with digestion. The place I go has a sauna as well which I use first and then the float. The sauna opens all the pores in your skin and then you can soak up more salts. Looking after me this year after a hard couple of years.
@@helpfulcommenter They are very popular across Brisbane, Australia. The one I go to is more like a small pool (two people can float at once) in a room. Love it so much.
If you get a chance, check out the movie Altered States (1980). Sensory deprivation and powerful hallucinogens are combined in a scientist's attempt to connect with his primordial self. I watched it a long time ago, but I remember it being quite good.
I hope you’re having a great holiday season and I wish you a happy new year!
This seems very relaxing and calming, giving time to disconnect from the outside noise
This is so cool. Even it's a small locked place, seems so relaxing and peaceful

Glad you’re getting some well-deserved relaxing time in Kellie. Agreed so needed after the past couple years ❤️
Ooh eee ooh Ah-Ah ting tang walla-bang bang! If you know then you know
sensory deprivation 😕 ... sounds legit👍
I've tried it a few years ago, it was a nice experience but not something I would do again.
one can get unconscious in water ... there should always be supervision ❤️
I'm going to do this. I wish I had a giant bathtub so I could do it every week.
Exactly what I would need .. so much stress..
Missing Erica's videos and hope she is doing alright wherever she is

Thanks John! Sounds super interesting and on my to-watch list now 😎
I always love floating on pool, not swimming lol
I do that too! 😆
please come back.......... ;-)
So do all these benifits also affect astronauts?
Hmmm can’t really say but that’s an interesting question!
As you mentioned 90 mins. seems like a long time. I wonder what would happen if you fell asleep.
They have gentle music to wake you up when you’re time is up 😊
That looks like its really relaxing but I suspect my claustophobia would kick in.
