Diagnosed as a male, in my 20s, after covid I had my first relapse. Now permanently blind in my left eye. It is a horrific disease. I am scared of my future, fearful every day of another attack that will leave me with damage to any part of my body. My ability to speak, walk, feel, see, eat or even think straight. I hope they can cure this horrific disease for future generations. I respect Selma for fighting this and showing the raw pain and struggles MS brings.
My husband has advanced ms. It is no joke, but a sense of humour seems to be the best antidote to this devastating illness. He is currently in a high care hospital, recovering from his last ms attack. Hopefully, he will be home soon, and life can be "normal" again. At least as normal for us as it can be. Go Selma 🙏❤️❤️
She's doing amazing. Her MS advanced very rapidly, she really struggled to speak or move. It looks like her treatments have improved her condition at the moment
I admire her so much for putting her out there in this way at her rawest, throughout the pain. She is such a great spokesperson for people living with MS.
Precious women- Selma, every morning when I wake up I am grateful for another day. I started falling down when I was nine. I was in the fourth grade. That was in the 60’s. By the time I was in high school I was falling down stairs. I was told I was clumsy. I went on to college where I studied to be an actress. I was damn good. Theater and the Arts have always driven me forward. I am naturally a very happy woman. I was diagnosed when I was 43. MS sucks- however it also keeps your heart growing with compassion and the never ending desire to keep trying. I am halfway through the final edit of my novel. I want others with MS to know that in spite of obstacles placed in our lives- we can create a positive impact for others to see and feel- Never give up, Never Surrender- Keep going and never let love leave your heart. ☮️
I love you and I am in the major issues now stage 4 PPMS and my treatment for MS just made my body take in the side affects of the drug for quality of life. I thank you so so much and please 🙏 I am still struggling with SLOW DOWN BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO MISS A BEAT OF MY TWO GROWN DAUGHTERS AND MY 4 GRANDCHILDREN ❤😢THANK YOU FOR SHARING SELMA YOIR AN AMAZING WOMAN ❤
49 years old and more gorgeous than ever. I have something wrong with me. I have seen so many drs and specialists and nobody can give answers. Finally found nodules in my thyroid and I’m so close to getting a diagnosis I am almost ecstatic. It’s having an answer. Not feeling crazy,,,knowing something is wrong but drs saying -/ you’re blood work is fine and you’re too young. The best one was….don’t you think it could all just be in your head???? Having an answer is sometimes just the mental medicine you need.
There is hope for people with MS. Between the Wahl Diet and the bone marrow transfusions available overseas, a light has finally come for those suffering:+) God bless~
I was diagnosed with rhumatoid arthiritis and its horrific. It progresses so fast. Its been two jest and I already have permanent erosion in joints. Its awful. I did think about documenting it but sometimes difficult
I didn’t know rheumatoid arthritis was so serious! My friend told me she was recently diagnosed and I feel bad because I didn’t realize it was so serious
@@beyond_horizon_8 she’s also my massage client and I see her today. Can you think of anything that I might be able to do to alleviate that particular type of pain and stress?
I know people who have completely turned it arpund by following Anthony Williams diet and taking quercetin, NAC, vut D, zinc and meditation/energy work. It can be turned around.
Still love her and the whole dark look. Yumm lol. I dated an older woman who had MS and she passed a couple years ago now. Sadie. I miss her. Selma has my love and well wishes.
If you can walk, your farther ahead of than I am, at my point of time. Sadly, I never had a chance, to slow down. Feel bad you're in the same boat. Wish you didn't have this Crap. MINE IS THE RIGHT-SIDE. Great job, nettling them. I would talk to you, anytime. I understand. Good luck, Otherwise.
@@Dan-sw8tg nah shes not going down a good path dating you. Why is it funny? Coming from another MS warrior, we know there is no cure, so we cling to any hope that presents. You need to grow up and actually research your gfs illness. U might then understand how serious it is. I am now on chemo to slow mine down. Possible risk of pml (holes in the brain simplified for someone of your calibre).
Lots of people consume drugs and alcohol and are healthy as a horse. Some people never touch the stuff and get this disease and more. It is what it is as they say. Best of luck and health to Selma and others

Its so compassionate of her to allow herself to be filmed like this, to help others so they are not alone
You sound mad slow
A famous person could take a dump and you would clap

@johnny derp Do you actually know anyone with MS?
@johnny derp then you know that it sucks, and making fun of people with MS is just heartless and inhuman

My mom had MS. Handled it for about 30 years. I hope Selma & everyone else suffering gets the treatment that helps them.

Ms. Selma Blair, don’t use emotions, please Do not exist stress, anxiety, depression, and no more suffering too.

What is the point in this kind of human suffering? It's not fair.
Obviously the evil aliens did it
@Cort C So people who are raped and tortured choose it? Makes no sense.
@Cort C yep. That kind of thinking is so weird because it gives and takes agency of individuals in the most apathic ways
