I just got my Samyang 135mm 1.8, and I only took a few shots and it’s amazing.

Very interesting comparison. I own 85 and still wonder if should get 135 as well.

I would like to see the difference between the Samyang 135mm f1.8 and either the Samyang 85mm f1.4 or the Sigma DN 85mm f1.4. In this video the bokeh of the Samyang 135mm looks creamier than the Sony 85 mm f1.8 (which is logical), but does it also look creamier than the bokeh of the aforementioned f1.4 lenses? In short, does the bokeh of a 85mm lens at f1.4 looks as creamy as the bokeh of a 135mm lens at f1.8?

135 is a must lens to have after having all short focal length primes; 20/24, 35, 50/55, 85.

I have 20, 35, 45, 55, 85… I was wondering if big diff on 135 over 85… will I even reach for 135? Or just grab 85? Are you still feeling good about owning both (85/135)?

@@AJCoReTV depend. no right no wrong.
depends on what are you shoot.
having 135, for extra reach and bokeh.
exploring new focal length = explore new angle or perspective.
      just my opinion.
if you cant afford, try to borrow or rent it first. if you like, get it. else, kept the money for other things like ND filter or polarised filters.

Great video Oma. Loved it. I just bought the Samyang 85mm 1.4 a few weeks ago. I love it but it’s not as sharp as this 135mm. Great photos. 👍🏼

Which one would you reccomend the Samyang 85mm 1.5 or the 135mm 1.8?

For the size and weight of the 135mm, I have a hard time imagining I'd take it with me for anything besides a dedicated portrait shoot. For roughly the same size and weight you could have the new 70-200mm f4 macro in your bag, which is significantly more versatile.

Thx for video, 135mm on sale for $670… (open box)… I have 85mm, was worried if it makes sense to own both? Thx

Undoubtedly, 135mm is better for photography. What about video, maybe gimbal work? BTW I have a sony 85mm and it is an extremely sharp lens and I am surprised that yours is so unsharp.
