Hey man. You put so much work into your videos and as a relatively new sub I can already appreciate that. I really enjoy them and I just wanted to say keep up the awesome work
The Mighty Jingles Hey Jingles, I would love to send you a World of Warships replay that earned me over 2.1k in base experience. Problem is, I have no idea how to contact you about your World of Warships replays. I know there is a database for World of Tanks replays and I have read your channel information and watched your video on how to record replays, but where do I send them? I know you probably get sent a ton of stuff, but I guess it is worth the try.
bndfer If you have replays enabled in WoWs, then it shouldn't be much of a problem. All you have to do is send an email to the address provided in Jingles' about page. It'd be very helpful if you're descriptive in it so he knows what to look for.
MyDiggitydawg And these are just his "emergency videos" that he hastily made and set for release on youtube just so he can have content still being put out when he's at Gamescom. Just wait until he gets back and the "real" videos return!
I just picture that submarine captain walking into a warehouse with the weapon chief and whacking his last torpedo on the tip with a mallet and making them all shit themselves thinking it will go off.
The Hungry Wolf 足柄 An admiral got sick of all the reports of dud torpedoes and ordered a cliff in Hawaii to be torped repeatedly! Divers would then go down to pick up the pieces. A lot of torps (battered, dented, but still in one piece) were picked up. Thats what it took to get the Ordnance guys to admit their mistake.
Quantum Shock Hah! It wouldn't go off anyway. Torpedoes needed to run a certain distance through the water before they armed themselves. That was part of the problem with the US Mk 14 torpedoes an their Mk 6 exploders. See +Rorschach617 reply.
+1stPCFerret Actually, not only was the depth regulator making them run too deep, but the actual firing pin for contact detonation was too weak, and usually broke before it would detonate the torpedo.
those torps got my uncle Roy killed along with the crew of Argonaut, But I think they were dead the moment the captain went after a convoy screened by Maikaze, Isokaze and Hamakaze. I don't think the captain made the right choice with a Boat like Argonaut. she was slow , dive time was 52 seconds and no after torpedo tubes. She just wasn't built to attack, but rather to lay mines. hence the designation SM-1. ( the only one)
btw: the American submarine torpedo story. The sub returned with at least 2 torpedoes. The CO almost got in trouble for wasting all his other torpedoes on what was thought to be a decoy. The USN then conducted a firing test against a underwater rock formation with the remaining torpedoes. The first shot exploded ! The test was almost terminated, but wiser heads prevailed, and the second shot was launched and did not explode. Post test results found that the anti mining device on the warheads prevented detonation for a dead on hit, but not for a glancing blow. I lost the book which described this many years ago, but this much I do remember.
Thanks again Jingles. I just picked up the Isokaze and as usual, I hopped on TH-cam to get your take on my new ship before heading out to those treacherous seas. Your efforts to educate us all are much appreciated.
Jingles, that isolaze detected at 6.3km instead of 6.1km wasn't shhooting his guns, he was using his speed boost ability which makes your ship detectable from further away because of the increased amount of smoke coming out of your smoke stacks
Dear Rear Admiral after watching this video I gotten handle of my own Isokaze and found out that she's very nice and deadly ship. I suppose many other people can learn many things from videos like that and its not only this video. Personally, you have many other videos what helped me (and surely not only me) in war games. Keep up brilliant job! Godspeed
Yep, really appreciate the work you put into your videos. It helps the working day go a lot quicker some times. Was able to learn a few things on trying how not to suck badly in the game. Scored my first 4000+ XP game, Keep the videos coming. Love the work and thanks.
Jingles, I did the same for the first time just 2 days ago. But, I did it at 500feet range. same area same map. I was so careful to hit him, as a friendly dd was aground behind him. I jump for joy as 6 trops hit the cruiser. The ' YOU KILLED as friendly cruiser!" I was like..............wow.
Clemson can point 6 guns on target and will when moving in curved lines even be able to fire the 8th.... I say that kinda increases DPM... always keep in mind the Clemsons turrets are double barrelled.
I remember reading about the defective American torpedoes in WWII some time ago. If I recall correctly, the issue turned out to be that the nose of the torpedo would collapse on impact, which crushed the detonator before it could fire. So until they worked that out, American crews had to aim their torps so they'd hit the target on an angle, instead of head on, in order to get the desired explosion. On the bright side, the real destroyers' engines didn't get knocked out every time an enemy shell came within half a click of them.
That Jim carrey clip was a classic! Its so true though. Battleship drivers certainly make it easy for destroyers. When you do eventually come up against a battleship driver who knows what the rudder is. It makes it decidedly harder for destroyers.
1stWarlord There was a US destroyer (do not remember which one)that forced a Japanese sub to the surface only to have it come up to close to the ship to hit it with guns. To keep the sub's crew from manning the deck gun they threw potatoes at the crew hatches as soon as they opened. The Japanese thought they where hand graneades and panicked. The destroyer pulled away and engaged with guns sinking the sub.
It's okay Jingles. I did it in one of my first games in the Phoenix class cruiser. Launched torps at a battleship hit him, some missed and ahead another Phoenix decided it was a good idea to turn left.....
You know, when I heard Jingles say that this Isokaze was an Isokaze-class destroyer, I was just about to rage at him, because the Isokaze I know is a Kagero-class destroyer. But Jingles always does his research when showcasing a ship, so I thought it was weird that he would somewhat be mistaken this time. So I did some research of my own. It turns out that the Isokaze in WoWs is indeed the Isokaze-class nameship, launched in 1916. The one I know was the Kagero-class Isokaze launched in 1939. Two different ships from different eras. Curiously, the 4 Isokaze-class destroyers also have their names on corresponding Kagero-class destroyers. Of course, when the Kagero-class was created, the Isokaze-class no longer existed - all 4 Isokaze-class destroyers were retired in 1936, where the first of the 19 Kagero-class destroyers was laid down in 1937. Pardon my ravings, carry on, nothing to see here.
I actually had some monster games in the Isokaze while I was making a bee line to the Minekaze. It's a great little DD, and there's nothing more satisfying than bagging BB after BB because they're too dumb to dodge torpedoes. It's a shame I didn't know how to record replays before, because some of my games have been similar to this in kills... perhaps not style though, which makes all the difference when Overlord Jingles picks them.
As to 23:22 Jingles' comments about capping B, what we see later is exactly why destroyers don't try sneaking cap B early in the game - the team lost 1 and 1/3 destroyer for how many points? 9? To lose immediately 70 points?
Jingles, that enemy Isokaze that got himself spotted beyond his own detection range wasn't firing the guns - he triggered his speed booster. Look at the sudden plume of thick, black smoke from his funnels. It's an undocumented effect that Wargaming apparently didn't think they should tell us about, but that booster actually makes you visible at something like 10% to 15% longer range.
The Germans, btw, also had massive problems with torpedo reliability. Only about 50% of them detonated on impact. At some point a german submarine launched a spread of 3 torpedos at a british warship, none of them went off. Passenger on board of this ship was - Winston Churchill.
I hope more players take note of your friendly kill and learn to look before they fire. The number if times I've seen it happen or I've taken damage as I try to avoid friendly torpedoes is unbelievable.
26:28 Now I know there aren't real ammo worries in warships, but it still bugs the shit out of me when I see destroyers spamming their torpedoes when they'll clearly hit nothing because of range.
14:00 the New York WAS firing his main batteries as well Jingles. Look at the way the shells fire in pairs, and he did broadside fire at you too! P.S. I disagree with the TK being your fault, allied ships CAN see your torps anywhere in their view range! If he was in a BB then I can understand due to lack of maneuverability, but he was in a DD!
I disagree with you HeliPilot INIT, YOU are the ONLY ONE responsible for where your torpedoes go. You need to realize that many players get target fixation, and forget to look around.
Just imagine the thoughts of the Japanese oil tanker crew: "Aaahhh we're dead in the water! 14-odd torpedoes in bound! Man the lifeboats!" [Several seconds later] [Ding, ding... ding ding ding] "Take that Yankees! Our armor is impervious to American firepower!"
The Mighty Jingles 35:00 The other Isokaze was spotted at 6.3km because he was likely using his boost. It actually pushes your detection out by 0.2km while it is in use. If he fired guns, we'd see the shells and the detection is pushed out somewhere around 4 extra km. This is important in the later tiers where the slower DDs are hard pressed to outrun cruisers. Hitting the boost just means you have to get that much farther away to be safe.
Did Jingles forget that while the Clemson's guns are weaker, it has twice as many? (After the gun upgrade, of course.) In a gunfight between the two you're going to see the 'better' Isokaze going to the bottom quite quickly.
***** He does acknowledge at one point in the video that an Isokaze will still likely lose in a gunnery duel with it's tier 4 counterpart. What I got out of it was that the Isokaze's guns are good - for Japanese guns. They still aren't as good as American guns, but that's to be expected.
Photanic And if played well it could win a gunfight, especially if the Clemson is around half health. Unlike the tier 5 where if it kills anything with its guns, it is embarrassing for its victim.
Sanctus Fervus It literally doubles the Clemson's firepower. He implied that the Isokaze's guns were almost as good as the Clemson but thanks to the twin mounts they're not even close.
Entertainingly, theres no mention on the clemsons gun upgrade tooltip to tell the player that they'll be doubling the things firepower, which leads a lot of players to go for the torpedo upgrade first.
Jingles is secretly the biggest troll of all. His videos are so long that if you don't enjoy them, your life is over anyway, and you die from old age. He then proceeds to cackle at your misfortune of running into jingles. this is why I love your videos jingles
It was pointed out to me that one thing in the Clemson's favour is that it gets twin guns in the turrets, giving it more guns, so more dakka. Great vid as always though. :)
Know that many look forward to your World of War Ships videos. You mentioned doing a video on the Nagato. That would be appreciated ! BTW, Atlanta just may be a better AA escort than Cleveland. I killed 35 planes with my Atlanta while escorting 2 of "our" CV's. May even have a screen shot of that.
Jingles one thing you overlooked in this is that once the Clemson is upgraded, it has twice the number of guns of the Isokaze. Even though the stats are similar it really stands no chance against a clemson in a 1v1 fight.
Torp discipline is much needed in WoWs right now with all the premium drivers out there. I can't tell you how many times I've had to slam on the brakes or maneuver hard because a friendly Atago decided to launch at a target at 10+km away.
Well, about the New York Battleship in the first replay just shows you: Cruisers don't leave Battleships at their own fate! I see it over and over again, even in games were Battleships-drivers don't sail in strait lines that before they can come into action they allready lost a lot of heath due to torpedoes.
Deefultz42 The terrible part? This kept happening, because nobody believed that submarine commander. Even worse, he, or some DD-commander that thad the exact same problem, even get effectively fired because he kept insisiting that the torpedoes are shot and not the crews. It took the US almost till 1944, to get their heads out of their arses about those terrible torpedoes. And the solution? They had to deactivate the magnetic detonator (the prime reason for the error, as the magnetic detonator just didn't work) and retrim every single torpedo before firing them (the other big problem was that *ALL* of them ran too deep).
Jingles, you didn't mention that the clemson have dual gunturrets when upgraded, That which concludes that you have only counted half of the ships firepower.
Minekaze has the same torps as Isokaze, but what it really have is speed - it can close faster, react fast to changes and escape any enemy, while Isokaze move slower than some cruisers :(
Hey Jingles remember how you went on about the Isokazes guns compared to the Clemsons. The Clemesons guns might have been a little better just by looking at the stats but you are forgetting that the Clemson gets and upgrade that adds a barrel to each gun effectivly doubling its firepower. The Clemsons guns are therefore way better than the Isokazes
Actually Jingles the New York still screwed up badly, the last thing you want to do is turn towards a destroyer in a battleship as it reduces the amount of time you have to deal with the problem by a third or more. If you turn away it still reduces the destroyers chances of hitting you with enough torps to kill you and it also buys you time to maneuver in response to his attacks, reload your guns and let your secondaries work him over. Turning towards him is just like going, "oh hey there Mr destroyer I don't know why you opened up on me with your guns outside of torp range but let me just help you fix that problem by letting you close with me even faster."
Isokaze is an amazing ship, had a good time playing it. Now at the Mutsuki (stock). Had an amazing game in the Isokaze, 18 torp hits & 6 kills, of which 5 kills on 19 (!) HP left x)
Another entertaining video Jingles! Keep up the awesome work~ *gives Jingles some cookies* But, I disagree with you about those torpedos and that DD you accidentally sunk... Yes, torpedo equipped ships need to be aware of where friendlies are BEFORE they shoot, but after that, it's up to everyone else on their team to not DRIVE INTO said torpedos targeting track. Everyone, friendly and enemy, gets a warning on their HUD for any torpedos near them. If people would actually pay attention to their HUD, and the "ding ding" sonar sound, there would be far less "friendly fire" torpedo incidents. Beside that Jingles, you managed to make me laugh again~ I can't wait for your next video...
The japanese DD guns aren't really bad, you just have to work around them. The main thing is they have an AWFUL turn rate, so let's say you've spotted a US DD, what you do is fire your torps in a bracket (one set in front, one dead on target, the other behind) then you fire your guns, turn into him to dodge his return fire, than turn back fire another volley and run away until you're no longer spotted, rinse and repeat.
I'm of the opinion, with regards to this map that going straight for B is a suicide run, particularly in a Japanese destroyer. At the least it's a sudden death scenario, with two destroyers dropping torps in the water at each other as fast as possible. Everytime I've gone in that way, I've gone back to port within the first five minutes of battle
My first team kill with torps was my very first game in the closed beta with 2 of my friends in the sims... We were in an arrow head formation loving life. Enemy spotted. Torpedos out straight into my friend to my left. GG :D
Wow, that first match, fantastic game... spoiled by that unfortunate incident :/ Nothing makes me feel worse than when I pull a blue-on-blue boneheaded move like that.
If you play War in the Pacific, the first two years of the game involve watching your US submarines' torpedoes bounce harmlessly off of valuable tankers and aircraft carriers over and over and over . . . They get a 90% dud rate until something like 1943. I'm VERY glad WoWS doesn't simulate that aspect of the war.
Clemson 4 double barreled 102 mm guns that reload something like 2 times faster then Isokaze 4 single barreled 120 mm guns which also have terrible shell velocity will still do its job a lot better.
Don't forget that the Clemson has two barrels per gun turret! That gives it favourable firepower, especially against DDs. The Clemson, to me, is the ultimate anti-Kaze.
I had a surprising game in my Isokaze, I torpedoed 2 ships a Destroyer which just rammed his team mate in a Cruiser, it was hilarious because I wasn't aiming at the destroyer
To give you guys an idea how the post battle must look like, i had a wakatake game: 7kills,100 thousand damage total, 1,5 k xp on a loss( the last battleship killed me because i ran aground, otherwise i would have won, for anyone wondering)
You forgot to mention that clem has 6 guns(well, 8, but only 6 can fire at the same time) at 8.6 per minute, while iso only has 4 at 6, so the rof difference is actually 51.6 to 24 per minute, more than double. So 77400 vs 48000 dpm. Guns on iso are not bad but they are still waaaay behind murican destroyers.
Isokaze: Surface det. range is 6.1 -- max torp range 7.0 Minekaze: Surface det. range is 5.9 -- max torp range 10.0 There's just more room to maneuver with the Minekaze, it's fantastic.
The story about the tanker in the beginning of the video was great xD Could you post some sources of the information you present in your videos? World of Warships got me interested in WW2 naval fighting and I am looking for good books on the topic. Could you oh mighty Overlord suggest some good ones? Or maybe someone in the comments could too? Cheers!
I want to point to the fact that those torps are the second fastest ones in the game. Only Senjo/Zao has torps that are faster and it is tier 10. Even in Minekaze I use those torps which are stock. Slow torpedoes can be dodged so much easier, so between Izo and Mine, Isokaze would be more powerful for it's tier simply because it has torpedo speed which no other torps can compare to. Still we all choose Minekaze for the speed which the Izokaze sorely lacks.
Jingle's My uncle Roy is a torpedo man aboard USS Argonaut. One of those bad torpedoes cause the loss of Argonaut with all hands. 106 men. She was sunk by 3 IJN destroyers. Jan 10 1943 s
Great video, My experience has been different, I played all day with 100 percent defeats and 100 percent deaths, well I felt better as I was was not the only one who was in the same boat..
Did that guy that Jingles team killed in the first replay really text ""tis but a scratch". A Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference in WOW. Life is good...
The Mighty Jingles Here's what I do, if I launch torps with friendlies are in my vicinity: I simply write "torps out!" in chat, to alert the others that I've launched torps. It usually helps, and has in one situation avoided somebody running into my torps, and me teamkilling him. Alerted by my message he looked around and turned well in advance.
It's nice to see even Jingles makes these honest mistakes with hitting a teammate with torpedoes, it only takes making the mistake once, to make extra sure you don't make it again, GOD knows I've done that before.
I always hit my torps at 8.0KM... Keep in mind you need to know where the enemy will move his ship. Aim a little in front or behind the ship to calculate for his speed difference if he turns in.
Si Wi Maybe that is because it is going to be much harder to do the Royal Navy line up than say Reichsmarine/Kriegsmarine and the reason for that is not what most people would think it is. For example in the German line up if they are going to do full carrier line then they have to literally pull most of those carriers out of their arse because there just weren't any in IRL. One partially build and one or two in plans. The Royal Navy on the other hand is whole different affair. There are SO many ships from which to choose that picking right ones and balancing them out over the tiers is going to be nightmare.
Petrus Sillanpää I respect your attempts to rationalize WG decisions, but I think it is simply due the fact that the german speaking community of WG is quite big and the German fleet has some reputation (earn or not earned doesn't matter). Also I don't really see it as more problematic to "create" ships, than use historical ones. My guess is the later is even easier, research wise.
Si Wi While I am happy that they're rolling out the German Navy, I am puzzled that the Royal Navy comes later. After all, it was leading ship design until WWII, so it should be easier. I am sure we'll also get a French and an Italian line, although Italy had even less by way of carrier design than Germany.
I had fun in the Isokaze, certainly I do enjoy the Minekaze though. There is one thing to keep in mind, when you have a 6.1km detection range AND you equip the -3% detection camo, your going to be detected under 6km. I've had some very NARROW moments sneaking around the map. Being the last one on the team vs 4 enemies and winning some.
There were a lot of problems with American torpedoes in WWII, but the not detonating problem was due to too fine tolerances in the exploder. You had to hit the hull at 90 degrees to explode; an oblique hit would jam the exploder.
Talking about bad American torpedoes there was incidence where Mark 14 torpedoes would circle back around and strike the boat firing it. this happened to both the Tullibee and Sargo.
TheMightyJingles I see your point with the torps, maybe you are able to check the archs when you are in US destroyer (cos their range is so short) but in Japanese destroyer who has 10km torpedo range... You can see fast friendly ships sailing another way and by the time torps are reaching your target they sail in their way... friendly torps are visible all the way.... when you are sailing in area packed with ships which are carrying torps, you must be aware of that... Yea, you accidentally team-killed some1 and that is not "good", but this scenario as is probably not ok, but for sure is not something you could influence much (that guy was at the edge of your screen) worse would be if you launched torps while there were friendly ships few km ahead of you sailing same way (as many Japanese DD captain often do)
Hiya Jingles, I am a player that almost only plays IJN DD and I do agree on your tk. In fact I think as a DD captain, IF you tk, even if it is not your fault (sometimes it really isn't) it is "always your fault and you say sorry" . I do like the iso, besides the mine it is my most played DD. This MIGHT change when I get the Kami (kind of counting on me getting one with the 260 pearls) but for now, Iso and Minekaze rock. Love the replays. Have used your videos a lot as reference and learning material so many thanks for all your uploads :)
C. Jukes Well, actually , no, Jingles is right this time. Notice the thinner tracer, those are the sign of secondaries, Main Battery tracers are significantly thickened to differenciate them from secondaries, as seen on the second salvo coming at him
Reminds me of the Bugs Bunny episode where he joins the army and gets an assignment hitting artillery shells on the tip with a mallet. When it doesn’t explode he writes “ Dud” on the side.

It's a shame I didn't know how to record replays before, because some of my games have been similar to this in kills... perhaps not style though, which makes all the difference when Overlord Jingles picks them.
Firing around headlands with turn and burn tactics are my fav for DDs. Gives the target no time to maneuver.
Jingles, when you said the friendly BB near the end of the first game was "miles away from anything" he was actually engaging the enemy wyoming
It does suck when you torp a friendly. I've done it once as well, then I started checking my firing archs. Thanks for sharing jingles
26:28 Now I know there aren't real ammo worries in warships, but it still bugs the shit out of me when I see destroyers spamming their torpedoes when they'll clearly hit nothing because of range.
Ronin8509 It's their fault. It bugs a lot of us but its online gaming. What can you do about it?
14:00 the New York WAS firing his main batteries as well Jingles. Look at the way the shells fire in pairs, and he did broadside fire at you too!
P.S. I disagree with the TK being your fault, allied ships CAN see your torps anywhere in their view range! If he was in a BB then I can understand due to lack of maneuverability, but he was in a DD!
I disagree with you HeliPilot INIT, YOU are the ONLY ONE responsible for where your torpedoes go. You need to realize that many players get target fixation, and forget to look around.
Just imagine the thoughts of the Japanese oil tanker crew:
"Aaahhh we're dead in the water! 14-odd torpedoes in bound! Man the lifeboats!"
[Several seconds later]
[Ding, ding... ding ding ding]
"Take that Yankees!
Jingles I'm tryin' to sleep here!
*proceeds to watch video anyway
Its 9.47 am what are you talking about? :D
alpha ceta you do realize it is almost 3 am here in wisconsin? dont know about MrImperatorRoma though :P
What? It's a different time somewhere else in the world? IMPOSSIBLE!
redmike 1617 1 am... West Coast.
robothawkgaming 10 am, don't be so strange else in the world
Did Jingles forget that while the Clemson's guns are weaker, it has twice as many? (After the gun upgrade, of course.)
In a gunfight between the two you're going to see the 'better' Isokaze going to the bottom quite quickly.
Yeah it's a pretty big oversight on his behalf. But really a relatively small fault.
*****
He does acknowledge at one point in the video that an Isokaze will still likely lose in a gunnery duel with it's tier 4 counterpart.
It only gets twin guns if it is upgraded.
Know that many look forward to your World of War Ships videos. You mentioned doing a video on the Nagato. That would be appreciated ! BTW, Atlanta just may be a better AA escort than Cleveland. I killed 35 planes with my Atlanta while escorting 2 of "our" CV's. May even have a screen shot of that.
jingles ur da best! learn so much from ur vids, but most of all i really enjoy them. thanks for all dat u do!
I can't tell you how many times I've had to slam on the brakes or maneuver hard because a friendly Atago decided to launch at a target at 10+km away.
i rebought the isokaze to help me with the pearl event and it seems so more powerful than i remember
Well, about the New York Battleship in the first replay just shows you: Cruisers don't leave Battleships at their own fate! I see it over and over again, even in games were Battleships-drivers don't sail in strait lines that before they can come into action they allready lost a lot of heath due to torpedoes.
The last game perfectly highlighted the need of an engine health buff on destroyers.
Don't feel too bad Jingles, I just recently got team-killed by a destroyer all the way up at tier 8.
"And bang, they reset the cap"
Wot jangles they missed you though?
Jangles?
*click*
T-they missed you!
*bang*
You missed me!?
Deefultz42 HE Splash damage, maybe they did no damage but he was still hit by the explosion
Trajectory Unknown Must have been a t92
Deefultz42 The terrible part? This kept happening, because nobody believed that submarine commander. Even worse, he, or some DD-commander that thad the exact same problem, even get effectively fired because he kept insisiting that the torpedoes are shot and not the crews. It took the US almost till 1944, to get their heads out of their arses about those terrible torpedoes. And the solution? They had to deactivate the magnetic detonator (the prime reason for the error, as the magnetic detonator just didn't work) and retrim every single torpedo before firing them (the other big problem was that *ALL* of them ran too deep).
MadnerKami You replied to the wrong comment.
mud
Interesting.
Jingles, you didn't mention that the clemson have dual gunturrets when upgraded, That which concludes that you have only counted half of the ships firepower.
Minekaze has the same torps as Isokaze, but what it really have is speed - it can close faster, react fast to changes and escape any enemy, while Isokaze move slower than some cruisers :(
I Shyper i know the feeling, having Phoenixes, Omahas, and Murmansks outrun me, even with engine boost active!
Thank you Jingles hihi VIP personel from yesterdays Rita stream got ahead on the video :D
Dear Jingles,
the main problem with Carrier drivers is that they think "hiding in the obvious spot behind the one island" is a good thing to do.
Keep up the awesome work~ *gives Jingles some cookies*
But, I disagree with you about those torpedos and that DD you accidentally sunk...
Loved the Isokaze, had some really awesome games in mine.
I feel like Jingles attended a memorial service for the crewmen of that destroyer he teamkilled
GG :D
Wow, that first match, fantastic game... spoiled by that unfortunate incident :/
Nothing makes me feel worse than when I pull a blue-on-blue boneheaded move like that.
Only if it's upgraded.
Just wanted to remind you that you are almost to 150 mil views! Congrats!
The Isokaze made me fall in love with the Japanese destroyer line. Am levelling that and the American cruiser line.
I'm just waiting for the Jingles Breeding program to start over here.
Isokaze and Minekaze are two of my favorites.
I had a surprising game in my Isokaze, I torpedoed 2 ships a Destroyer which just rammed his team mate in a Cruiser, it was hilarious because I wasn't aiming at the destroyer
Theres no point in turning off the AA in the Izokaze, as the Air detection range for it is larger than the AA range.
I think that Destroyers will be favorite class once I get my hands on this game.
Isokaze: Surface det. range is 6.1 -- max torp range 7.0
Minekaze: Surface det. range is 5.9 -- max torp range 10.0
There's just more room to maneuver with the Minekaze, it's fantastic.
Cheers!
I really do miss the old Isokaze :(
I want to point to the fact that those torps are the second fastest ones in the game.
Jan 10 1943
s
In my opinion the isokaze is just as good as the minekaze it just have better specs elsewhere than the minekaze
Lord Gaben Praise the Lord!!!
xD A tf2 person on a jingles vid IM NOT ALONE!!
What a last game. The most kills I've seen in a WoWs game so far.
That awkward moment when you learn more watching Jingles then in school...
Great video, My experience has been different, I played all day with 100 percent defeats and 100 percent deaths, well I felt better as I was was not the only one who was in the same boat..
"I'm surprised more people aren't raving about the Isokaze at tier 5." jingles that must be a typo. the Isokaze is tier 4 not 5 :-)
Rex1987 I take it you want a round in the salt mines ;)
Rex1987 psst... he says its tier 4 in the description, not 5
Niall King i think he must have corrected it so its good.
Huw Lines haha that joke never gets old :)
+Rex1987 Indeed I did.
Did that guy that Jingles team killed in the first replay really text ""tis but a scratch". A Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference in WOW. Life is good...
The Mighty Jingles Here's what I do, if I launch torps with friendlies are in my vicinity:
I simply write "torps out!" in chat, to alert the others that I've launched torps.
I feel sad, because you have to get within 4 km range to make sure your torpedoes don't miss. Any further away and the chance to miss is too high.
I always hit my torps at 8.0KM... Keep in mind you need to know where the enemy will move his ship. Aim a little in front or behind the ship to calculate for his speed difference if he turns in.
I wonder what jingles has to say about the fact that "the germanz are comming!" in October, while the Royal Navy will not come before 2016.
Petrus Sillanpää
I respect your attempts to rationalize WG decisions, but I think it is simply due the fact that the german speaking community of WG is quite big and the German fleet has some reputation (earn or not earned doesn't matter).
Also I don't really see it as more problematic to "create" ships, than use historical ones. My guess is the later is even easier, research wise.
Petrus Sillanpää At least the germans had blueprints and plans for aircraft carriers. The Soviets earliest carrier is from the 1970s.
And Jingles thanks for an other good and entertaining video!!
That XO_superior in the 2nd match was pretty incredible!
PerfectDeath4 It's even more fun if you only have 18 health remaining. But you can win a game in IJN destroyers like in no other ships.
There were a lot of problems with American torpedoes in WWII, but the not detonating problem was due to too fine tolerances in the exploder. You had to hit the hull at 90 degrees to explode; an oblique hit would jam the exploder.
I thought it was the other way around.
Oh but Jingles, the Clemson with those dual guns for each turret shred the isokaze in a one on one :)
Lunchbox2501 I was gonna click and boom but you have a point. So instead. EXTRA TIME IN THE SALT MINES
Earned 1900 xp in the Isokaze once, its a fantastic DD, more enjoyable than the Clemson!
Who needs to go to sleep when there's Jingles.
Talking about bad American torpedoes there was incidence where Mark 14 torpedoes would circle back around and strike the boat firing it. this happened to both the Tullibee and Sargo.
I think you didn't mention that the clemson has far more guns, having double guns whereas the IJN has singles
Well done Mr.BoJingles. As usual.
Yea, you accidentally team-killed some1 and that is not "good", but this scenario as is probably not ok, but for sure is not something you could influence much (that guy was at the edge of your screen) worse would be if you launched torps while there were friendly ships few km ahead of you sailing same way (as many Japanese DD captain often do)
To be fair, the Clemson has 4 twin turrets when upgraded
Oh man... I miss the 32 second reload time on these low tier destroyers... :(
Hiya Jingles, I am a player that almost only plays IJN DD and I do agree on your tk.
14:51 they are not secondaries haha
C. Jukes this bugged me too lol
C. Jukes Well, actually , no, Jingles is right this time. Notice the thinner tracer, those are the sign of secondaries, Main Battery tracers are significantly thickened to differenciate them from secondaries, as seen on the second salvo coming at him
C. Jukes IJN Urakaze is quite correct, to demonstrate......
i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr68/babyracer_hundi/Tracer_zpsio2iowl1.jpg
(2 overlaid images 2 seconds apart)
Most of it was secondaries, there were a couple shots of main batteries, but being a battleship, they load so slowly
It's actually getting harder to hit ships with torpedoes. World of Warships players are learning (mind boggling right?).
lol in the first match when you sunk the enemy New York class. The sound effects said "You Sunk!" and didn't say "You sunk an enemy battleship!"
Reminds me of the Bugs Bunny episode where he joins the army and gets an assignment hitting artillery shells on the tip with a mallet. When it doesn’t explode he writes “ Dud” on the side.
