I don’t know if he will ever see this comment, but remember back to one of the Oracle videos, the AI says somthing about there already being some aliens, time travelers, and other “non human” things on the planet. (44:00) Dr. Lopez is extremely accurate for doctors dealing with AFAB clients. Which is a crying shame, but at least it's nice to see people realize just how awful his character is.
It definitely seems that the fertilisation drugs had some type of effect on the worms which is why she was kidnapped It seemed like she needed enough time for the drug to wear off and for the worms to take full control
Btw, I noticed when the wife was gone for like 6 days, when the husband was typing “I don’t know where my wife is” the wife didn’t get typed. “I don’t know where my is”. I may be overthinking but I think at that point, his wife was gone. And the thing that came back, wasn’t his wife at that point. So his wife was gone.
Also, I’m guessing that the father was infected when he came back. When they tried getting a baby, a monster was getting birthed, not a baby. So when the wife was gone for 6 days, she must have given birth to something. And then something else came back.
The government would never gaslight you, especially about health concerns directly pertaining to your life. Why would you spread such dangerous misinformation to the public, fellow citizen?

That's why they recomend that when you are driving for long periods of time at night, that you should pull over at a rest stop if your tired, because it can cause people to crash their cars (falling asleep at the wheel for a few seconds)). Its so bad now that it's even affecting her microsleep.
At least doctors in movies put real effort into an accurate diagnosis. In real life, people suffer with things for years or decades before a doctor finally catches it after countless appointments, and tests, life-altering amounts of financial damage, and who knows how much needless suffering. Things that would've been caught much sooner if only the doctors hadn't been so eager to keep the revolving door of -profits- patients moving. Also, movie doctors are way less dismissive.
Marcus, you MUST cover "It Lives in the Static". It's early Vintage Eight, and it's one of their darkest. The title tells you all you need to know. It lives in the static, it's dangerous, and it's hungry. Very, very, hungry.
i think the distinction he was drawing is that it's presented as recorded video without anything like PSAs or anything like that. but you are right, it still qualifies as analog horror
@heathdionne7717 that distinction doesn't matter, but it's also something he's mentioned before where he's separated found footage as something on its own when the analog horrors he watches (PSA type) are typically found footage on their own. The whole possessed media on YT is getting out of hand so creators should know a bit about the genres so they can look out for new content. Edit: this one was probably my favourite he's ever done in a long time cause there's so much haunted media type stuff that relies on sensory overload. Reminded me how much I loved the genre and why I need a creator to watch it cause I'm a screamer lol
@Daniel_Lancelin Absolutely! The first analog horrors didn't do that whole vintage style art nostalgia. Analog at its base just means that you are hands on with the receiving end of the information being processed, kinda like an analog watch. Sure digital can tell you the time quicker, but analog requires a little brain input from you. You're the driver of reality and in analog horror, the viewer is a part of its reality. You're not viewing a film being handed information and given a twist. You're placed in the POV of someone in the story or a random person who found some sort of media. It makes the viewer more interactive in that sense. I hope I explained that well enough lol
I JUST HAD A EURIKA MOMENT!, I was thinking about how the aliens wanted to make sure the host was happy, I found it confusing and gave it some thought. In the swarm we learn that the prophet created the swarm through manipulating the scientists there. and who did prophet originate from? ORACLE! The reason they want to keep the host happy was because of the original code that the prophet was created from had oracles thinking and original programming. and his end goal was to ensure that everyone was "Happy" by giving them a 100% chance at life by controlling them, And we see prophet doing a similar thing but instead of himself he gives the aliens full control over humanity and gives them a 100% chance at a "happy" life. This theory makes me think about what if these aliens are linked to the sinkhole and the other newer vintage 8 project. its either this or i got a few things wrong and I've looked too deep into it 😂
thing is, some of the movie is ret-conned, it was originally a feature film predating the vast majority of vintage eight, though assuming it was true, Oracle wouldve never had any code like that back then, one of the only reasons oracle wanted to give everyone a good future was because it was in line with the purpose Carl Stevens gave him, and the sinkhole videos predate the Oracle project by 7 years. maybe the aliens were the aliens from the children with black eyes
as someone who has been dealing with chronic illness for the last several years, VintageEight really nailed doctors being dismissive. "it's just anxiety" is like 90% of their initial reactions to things.
I love the way I can tell it’s actually shot in Louisiana, I’m from there and the way the outside and the architecture is makes me feel super nostalgic

The most disturbing dreams I usually have are the ones where everything feels real and it's a normal day for me. Always love a new vintage 8 video, but I have to say that I enjoyed the comment the doctor made towards the end. That those they had bonded with would see what they wanted them to see. A movie.
When she kept finding the key, what would happen if Daniel swallowed the key? And we know her demon is persistent to find the key. But at the same time, the demon wouldn't want to hurt him because shelly loves him, if he died then shelly would be sad. They don't want her to be sad.. So how would she get the key..?
About a quarter way through the video. Prediction- something is inside her and at some point she will see that she’s “pregnant” but the baby is not an actual baby
I have a analog horror suggestion it’s called infected sky and basically planes turn into huge kaijus and wreak havoc it’s a good series and one I definitely recommend the original author is complex animations I think
I love how you only do a full Vintage Eight series once every few months. No need to speedrun the entire catalogue as this creator is amazing and it's so impressive how almost all the videos or series created by Vintage Eight are all connected in some way for it's own universe.
Honestly this was SO good. Yeah there were points where the acting was a little stilted but we CANNOT demand perfection from indie creators especially when MOST of the time it was very good! The effects were solid and honestly the stab was the worst one in the whole production but otherwise it was really good. [*Spoilers beyond this point*] Any other things that seem like "bad acting" when you look back and you think about it was "wait these characters aren't supposed to be human. These are creatures imitating humans" it definitely reframes their acting in a different light. For me the whole thing was the story. The story was SO engaging and the pacing was GOOD and consistent. The pacing kept me engaged and didn't stutter and kept me so curious through the whole movie and that is 90% of the work done right there. I enjoyed that you didn't need to watch the other vintage 8 stuff to understand it but if you DID you could point and go "AH AH AH THE THING THE THING!!!!!!" I think it was good they didn't bring up Oracle or Prophet or some of the more... extra things in their universe and kept this story a bit more focused and comparatively grounded. There were certainly flaws yes, but otherwise it was really good! :D

(44:00) Dr. Lopez is extremely accurate for doctors dealing with AFAB clients. Which is a crying shame, but at least it's nice to see people realize just how awful his character is.
@@captaincassidy8287 he’s a real doctor too. He based his character on what he considered a bad doctor… one that doesn’t listen.

It seemed like she needed enough time for the drug to wear off and for the worms to take full control

Vintage 8 always makes the best series literally love them
I appreciate that!
They were all trying to get this thing to be birthed, and when it was about to be birthed, the things brought her out for the baby to be birthed.
I haven’t seen the whole thing yet so that’s my take.

The most terrfying part about this is the government gaslighting, which happens already
nuh uh
Nuh uh lib.
The government would never gaslight you, especially about health concerns directly pertaining to your life. Why would you spread such dangerous misinformation to the public, fellow citizen?
And it's not like they haven't experimented on the public before. But I'm sure they're really sorry and will never do it again...
We literally had 2 and a half years of the government imposing stuff on the population based on exaggerated data or stuff that was plain just not true (and they knew it)
So far, Oracle was literally correct at everything he has told us!
Wait can you jog my memory, what about oracle?
@@cardinalpawn6467 Oracle prophesized a bunch of things a while back, like humanity being taken over by aliens. He also mentioned that there are a lot of different factions of aliens on Earth, some that have made shadow governments and were taking refuge on Earth because the virus had wiped out their own worlds, so it's not just the tangi
Wait what exactly has he said I don’t have a memory?

Its so bad now that it's even affecting her microsleep.
OMG FINNALLY AN UPDATE ON VINTAGE 8 YIPPIE! I HAVE BEEN FED THIS WEEK
44:36 "i hate doctors in movies"
you'd hate them irl too
At least doctors in movies put real effort into an accurate diagnosis.
@AngryReptileKeeper my doctor deadass told me to get a job when I went in for mental health and strained a muscle between my shoulder blades
Marcus, you MUST cover "It Lives in the Static". It's early Vintage Eight, and it's one of their darkest. The title tells you all you need to know. It lives in the static, it's dangerous, and it's hungry. Very, very, hungry.
I second this! I think It lives in the static is probably my favorite so far. I also really enjoyed Mr. Bearlington, but for way different reasons
Found footage is analog horror. In fact its analog horror that's a subgenre of found footage.
i think the distinction he was drawing is that it's presented as recorded video without anything like PSAs or anything like that. but you are right, it still qualifies as analog horror
Does it count as analog horror if it's a digital recording on his laptop security feed? I always assumed it had to be physical tapes.
I hope I explained that well enough lol
omg i absolutely LOVED this. this is SPECTACULAR work, another vintage eight banger. this made my night, i cant wait to see the next creation
Could be a hive mind thing husband had LV and it’s communicating with her LV. I mean wasn’t Tangi virus hive mind?
I said same thing, that would be my guess. That or they can communicate with the mosquitos or bugs ect. Or all the above 😊

as someone who has been dealing with chronic illness for the last several years, VintageEight really nailed doctors being dismissive.

Until I either suddenly wake up and try talking about what happened in the dream (I usually look a bit crazy). Valid, when i was a kid my mom said she was terrified when i just stood at the foot of my parents bed and stared at them XD
I was heavily pregnant a few years ago and slept over at my mums house, woke up to my brother standing over me (near 6 foot btw) muttering about the spider in the corner. I nearly went into labour with how scared I was 😂 he, of course, has no memory of it 😂😂
Always love a new vintage 8 video, but I have to say that I enjoyed the comment the doctor made towards the end.
It's not a demon...
Ik but I just call it a demon cuz I don't know what to call it lol 😭
This entire thing was wild. Kudos to the creator for making such a complex, interesting movie.
Every single thing in the Vintage 8 universe is connected! Remember that.
About a quarter way through the video. Prediction- something is inside her and at some point she will see that she’s “pregnant” but the baby is not an actual baby
Man....I'm such a sucker for a good ending that I was actually very sad to see how this ended....

@@guilhermehank4938 it is, but as it tis silly, tis also fun
Amazing work!
