I fully stand by the fact that if JYP had let JayB produce music for the band without touching it, it would have been some of their best work. Artists usually know what their doing when they’re making their own stuff JUST LET THEM DO THEIR JOB!!!

You should check their dance practice as well the videos aren’t showing the full choreo ! Youngjae was injured when they filmed it so he could only dance a lil bit that why he appeared at the end and so they said he was the missing piece 😂. This song was actually written by JayB the production was still JYPE involved, but yeah their b sides are even more scrumptious to fully appreciate their vocals as for JYPE and SM comparaisons the thing is that SM has mostly vocalists while here JYPE and in GOT7 half of them are rappers and other side are singers and both often switch with each other positions so actually the line distribution is pretty fair and one of the most fair I’ve seen as they often switches from vocals to rap and not only 1 or 2 lines here and there.
GOT7 is 1 of the best harmony, besides TVXQ, Bigbang and BTOB. I was SM stan before, SM vocal lines are very strong, it's true but their harmony were not that great because they were like they completed their voice among them, instead of blending. You can watch GOT7 live performance, so you will know how strong GOT7 vocal are while they were dancing, eps. their Japanese songs such as Love loop, JayB sang 3 high notes. Marketers of JYPE were suck they could not show how much potential GOT7 were, look at now! They could show it more and more.
