Probably, yes, but it would create logistical issues so I don't want it too high. And also, the wife would never allow it to be too high ("eyesore"). I'll get a pump if I have to, but without filters it's ok. Not sure if it'll be enough pressure for a water heater though.
It's coming along. Looks good. When I needed trash / garbage picked up I would get the little hands to do it by paying them 1 peso for each piece they put in a bucket or rice bag. Not a clean solution but it helped. It also keeps them busy.
We bribe them with pan (buns)! Very different personalities on the kids though. Geo (5) is the hard working one. I'll double check the laws about child labor in the Philippines (kidding)! 😁
Oh my goodness, I hope so! It feels like it's taking forever! 😂 The remaining main thing is electric wiring, but hopefully we can get that done soon. Only two accredited electricians here, one is off to Samal, the other one is fixing his house, but hopefully soon!
Your gravity fed water system acts like it is missing an AAV (air remittence valve) which is why the pressure diminishes as the pressure built up by the weight of the water in the system equalizes. Usually the stainless steel water storage tanks like those used in the PH have a built-in AAV valve inside the tank. However, I am not sure about that poly tank like you are using? Generally they are not used for potable water. You usually find poly water tanks used in agriculture for livestock or supplemental water for crops where they leave the top of the poly tank open so it does not require an AAV. Another thing to check is verify that your “plumber” installed the filter cartridges in your pre-filter in the correct order. If they are not installed. In the correct order the water will not flow or flow VERY slowly.
LOL, accurate representation of "plumber". I believe that in the Philippines if you can use the pipe glue, or enough teflon (teplon) tape, you are a qualified "plumber".
I did check that, and was surprised that it was actually in the right order. Well, except the pre-filter that was placed last... No valves in the tank, but there's an overflow hole (not hose yet) on top. Without the filters it's ok though, so we'll just pull a couple of them and see how it behaves.
6 inches of gravity is not enough pressure to get though a 4 stage filtration. What the water supply Barangay or rain? I put Barangay, filtration and then tank so water reserve is purified. Then you need a pump or you need your tank much higher Your faucet is also higher then your filtration as well so you won’t get a vacuum based on water level
I am single so I have a long way to go before I could legally do this. But just a general question, does the family know of a parcel of land that would be similar around there for sale? Even like the 2 hectares is amazing.
Note that this area is ancestral domain. No titles, but you can get a COLO (certificate of land occupancy). We know several of the Datus around our area (datus are like tribal chieftains) and we have a good grasp on who is trustworthy. Our general area is good, but some barangays around are so-so (double selling etc). Anyway, even though you legally can't buy ancestral domain land, there are obviously ways around it...like renting long term for a minor fee, or if you marry someone with tribal blood. We do know of several pieces of land that are for "sale", both small and large. Some with truly spectacular views. No need to rush though, there's always new land available. Prices will go up of course, but with inflation...what won't?
I never understand why dogs and cat need to be Inside the house, kitchen, i have a problem with that at my property to. I yrow them out always, but the family members dont care
It varies though. Personally, I would never kick a cat out, but once we get a dog, I might keep it outside. Our cat is outside like 23.5 hours a day though, he mainly comes in to eat. If you want things tidy and not wrecked - keep them outside.
We got these tiny plastic pouches, "agmectin" (ivermectin) for like 24 pesos. I'm not going to bathe their dogs, but it seems to work ok already. Will keep an eye on it and give more if it doesn't clear up.
A real man treats kids that aren't his like his own and like a stranger. Joe Garcia from the channel The Garcia Family learned it the hard way. At least you allow them to live in the house tho.
I think it would be better if your water tank was up higher, maybe more water pressure?

Lucky you, you moving in soon, hey 😁

hope you feel better .
Thank you!
Everyone is doing pretty good right now. Except maybe Ken-ken, who got stung in the eye by a wasp today... 😬
Learning anger issues from foreigners is ONE thing they can remember. 😁
Haha, I try to avoid that. Swede, we bottle our feelings up! 😁
(and try not explode)
Yes he did 😮pewie 😂
😁
The outlet pipe from the filter should be straight do not drop down.
We will need to change pretty much everything the first crew did, I'll add that to the list! Thank you!

It's..."different " here, yes 😂

Dry sauna is better. Steam sauna evaporates on your skin giving the appearance of more sweat on the skin but only small % is your own sweat
Albeit I grew up in a country with border to Finland, I've actually never liked any kind of sauna!

Reduction of psi per filter can be 2-3 but you have 0 psi on the line
It will be rain+a hose from a water source (not really lake). We have ok pressure without the filters, will try with 1-2 filters and see how it'll do.
Yeah, just gravity currently
@@ABetterLifePH Get yourself a pressure tank and pump.
@StepHush3 Considering it, yeah.
so, you are doing all that wall "finishing" before hacking into the walls to run electrical? Hmmm....
There are holes prepared already, hopefully they will be enough. I have a feeling we'll have to open up a bit more, but not sure yet.

IVERMECTIN ? (joe rogan hahaaa😆i like him)
Yep, that's the one, lol. Doesn't work on Covid-19, but should work on mites etc (I believe Cerberus suffers from mange).
Permethrin works, it in the head lice shampoo they sell here in little green bottles at the drug stores.

Skim coat is never perfect. In your case maybe better to go with "consistent" imperfection.

Not live, these are the neighbors' kids (neither of us has any).
Yes, I'm not too bothered with finish tbh. Get it decent and functional/no leaks and I'm satisfied.
