That early bonding is so important. ❤ A quick daddy tip is, if your partner is breastfeeding, you do all the daipers. That's how you can become almost equally involved in the baby and all it's little routines. Diaper changes are as frequent, as random and as intimate as the feedings. And you'll get used to the grossness. I'm not joking. The way to bond with a baby, is to fulfill it's needs.
I'm glad other people realize how important it is for the baby to bond with both parents, and vice versa. Unfortunately Dads tend to miss out because there's not enough paternal leave.

I'm glad other people realize how important it is for the baby to bond with both parents, and vice versa. Unfortunately Dads tend to miss out because there's not enough paternal leave.

I didn’t know he was having a baby so I’m literally crying right now. I grew up watching you and I know this sounds weird but he was like a father figure to me since my dad worked on the road. I found Danny when I was eight and am now going into junior year. I can’t stop crying tho because I’m so happy yet depressed.

Fellow parent here, take as much time as you need! I had my daughter last October (woo, October babies!!!) and it goes so quick, I can't believe my baby is gonna be one soon! Not to mention the first year can be full of so many ups and downs. Wishing you and Laura all the best ❤

I'm so glad you can take time off, being able to have "paternity leave" is gonna be so amazing for you both!! It reduces the risk of PPD and gives you time to bond with your baby! I really hope you take all the time off you both need!! You should take at least a few months off and work lots of half-days throughout the year... (Or whatever works well for you guys)
