Scott Hansen INVENTED the inline skate in his garage in Bloomington Minnesota not far from my house. I was one of the first 10 people to ever bring a pair of skates to his house, swap out the blades and put on the wheels. Then Naegele partnered with him and basically diluted his shares to less than 1% and started roller blade. The rest is history.Scott Hanson deserves all of the credit… I had these skates in 1978. We played on tennis courts. It was amazing…

They almost had a new Inline Pro Hockey in Called National Roller Hockey League and it had four teams with the Detroit Dragons,Grand Rapids Warthogs,Port Huron Yeti and the St Louis Vipers,that would start in the Summer of 2020 or Sumner 2021 and it got cancelled because of Covid-19 problem. But as of 2023 still no Summer version of the NRHL

Half of you reading the comments don’t remember or weren’t alive during the 90’s when roller hockey was huge and I mean huge.
Everyone played it.
In my city over night rinks opened up, leagues, tournaments etc.
It was truly the status quo.
I remember when ESPN showed RHI games all the time.
My team and I back then would gather in a buddy’s garage and watch the games with a cooler of beers.
It was a ritual.
A big deal.
What made the RHI special is they looked so professional.
Uniforms matched.
Equipment matches.
Helmets matched.
Gloves.
They looked traditional.
They looked like men.
Look at “pro” teams now.
Three guys have blue helmets two have white helmets two have black helmets.
3 guys have blue gloves 4 have red gloves 2 have black gloves.
Their jerseys look like a box of crayons.
They look like skinny teenagers.
Take a look at the RHI’s LA BLADES.
Look at them.
Now look at any random PIHL or some NARCH team.
See the difference?

Shout out to Hawkesbury Jets Inline players from NSW Australia late 90's-early 2000's man I miss those days. Never even knew there was a major roller hockey league... btw those logos were so bad. Did any team have a good logo. Holy molly.
