Like the singer is using the upbeat music to try and stay aloft and distance themself from their feelings, or at least to dull the pain. Oh No! Gasoline! seems like the singer knows that they can't escape their feelings. The world is messed up, they're messed up, and they're not happy, but they have a lot of energy, a lot of it angry, and they keep going forward with their life. They've accepted everything and just want to keep moving forward, not stopping to wallow in the misery.
