Jozenji Street Jazz Festival
Jozenji Street Jazz Festival is the largest music festival in Japan in terms of the number of participating bands and performers, and is an urban music event with the keywords “run by citizen volunteers,” “free of charge,” and “the city as a stage set.
With Kotodai Park and Jozenji St. as the main venues, performances are held throughout the city, with tie-up stages and satellite stages in other cities.
This year, about 620 groups from all over Japan will perform at 34 locations in the city, attracting about 700,000 people over the two days.
The first-ever opening ceremony and the installation of street pianos made for two days full of music.
The genres of music performed were not limited, but were organized by stage and area.
With a pamphlet in hand, you can get lost in the genre of music you are looking for, or you can shop around the venues to find new music to enjoy.
You can enjoy yourself in a variety of ways, so please come out to the venue.
