When people pass away; why can't the federal gov mark "deceased" on their social security so when there is a back ground check of anyone using a deceased persons name, - they will be alerted that person is deceased. It seems simple. Why can't funeral homes send deceased notices to Federal and State governments. Good answer it does suppress the vote of people who are not allowed to vote legally. So what.

It's illegal to NOT report a death, but those don't automatically make it onto voter rolls, and ruthless people who want to stay in power use that to their advantage.
The deceased Family is responsible for calling Social Security, Veterans Benefits, Pensions, DMV, Voter Registration, Credit Card companies etc

For trying to ensure only citizens who are eligible to vote actually vote? If you are not smart enough to follow the registration to vote process, then you probably shouldn't be voting to begin with. I find it funny that a photo ID is required all over the place, but wanting to see one to vote and verifying a person's eligibility is somehow suppressing the vote. Go try to do any government business action without an ID and see how far you get.

Not all non-citizens are illegal immigrants in the fullest sense of the phrase. While some were offered temporary visas before arriving, the current administration was handing them out to those who stopped after illegally entering the country…it was presumed that they were asylum seekers and were given a future court date then released into population. When their court date comes and they no-show or their temporary visa runs out, then they are the same as the “got-away” who snuck in without stopping (like cartel, gang members, and terrorists).
When a temporary visa is issued to non-citizens, they are allowed to do those things but are not granted the ability to vote. The Democrats are trying to make that another benefit to them presumably because they want them as voters.

When you go to the airport.. You must have ID when you go to work. You must have your ID when you drive a car. You should have a drivers license ID when you vote for the president of the United States. You must be a citizen of the United States and by proving it bring a form of ID.

1. They are doing it….no better time to get that message heard than right now when everyone is interested. If you already knew everything in this report, then sadly you had to listen to something that you knew but most don’t.
2. It compels people to check and make certain they are properly registered and not suspended. No legal person will be denied the right to vote but they have to follow correct process on time.
3. It clearly sends a message to those who might otherwise be tempted to commit voter fraud that this is being looked at and will be prosecuted.
BONUS: It allowed our leaders to piggy back this energy with the illegal actions happening in Harris county (now stopped) much to the chagrin of those who were breaking the rules and are now crying foul because cheating just got harder.

Texas has one of the most rigorous voting registration processes in the nation. Not everyone has time to register 2 or 3 times, specially low income individuals that cant skip work. All ID's of ''non citizens'', including ILLEGAL ALIENS aka asylum seekers, must have on the ID a box checked or other designated wording of being a non citizen.

PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
As a Texan I have always said that the voter registration roll should be completely wiped out after each election and that a new voter registration roll be created for the next election. As soon as the 2024 election is done the voter rolls are wiped out and come 2026 a new voter roll is created. I also say that in Texas the voter rolls should be automatically tied to your state identification and when you go to vote you should have to show your voter registration card, state picture identification and match your thumb prints that are on file with the state if they all match you get to vote.
To do that, all voters need to be notified , new registrations need to be easily accessible to all voters, voting day needs to be a national holiday so everyone can have access to vote. If not, they want to suppress the vote.
Well there can be many elections throughout the year itself especially the so-called special ones (I would say "unsheduled") with state and federal officers resigning before the end of their term so that would be impossible.
And even if You just mean after every presidential election and those registrations being only for the presidential elections if the president resigns or dies in office a huge number of voters wouldn't be able to register in time for the special election especially if it happens just a short time after the previous election so that's impossible too.
That's what happens here in the UK, the local authority every year sends out a letter ensuring that those living at that address are entitled to vote.

Generally conservatives work labor jobs that make it hard to take time off while most jobs staffed by liberals are salaried and is much easier to take time off. This is why people in cities generally vote for democrats and rural areas vote for republicans.

👏 This should have been done years ago in order to get more accurate voter turnout rates based on the voting-age population, the voter-eligible population, and the registered voter population.
I double checked my registration to make sure it was still valid. While I'm a 7th Generation Texan and been living in Texas the vast majority of my life, I figured it was better to not assume ANYTHING. I found I am still registered, but felt better for knowing for SURE after these shenannigans.
Spread the word everywhere you can on Nextdoor, social media. People need to go online and check their voter status daily/weekly to make sure their voter status still shows active. Because on Election Day at the polling precinct the Inactive people will be allowed to vote like nothing is wrong, but their ballot isn't counted. So the voter thinks they voted and doesn't know their vote won't be counted. Severely shakes my confidence in the current regime.
I waited an hour to vote in Austin….that’s not reasonable and discourages people from voting…other people in other areas waited longer.
