I was about 20 when this aired. I loved Scooby-Doo as a kid. My boyfriend (now husband) and I thought this was one of the best things ever! So happy to see it again.
I remember when segments of this were shown during commercial breaks. This and the actual Blair Witch film both came out when I was in High School. This parody and the actual film were all the craze back in the day. This Scooby Parody was fun to watch! As for The Blair Witch Project: Believe it or not, I actually thought The Blair Witch Project was real and based actual events. Even the fake documentary they made on Sci-Fi Channel at the time convinced me! XD I didn't find out it was fake until after the fact a while later. This just goes to prove how well done and unique this found footage horror film was at the time! It actually made you believe it was real! Very well done film and a total classic.
The switch from "it's kinda funny hearing them concerned like realistic people" to genuine fear and panic losing Scoob was the best bit in this whole thing imo, it's so... uncanny.
Its boggles my mind that Shaggy and Fred were modified to have personalities more like the 2 dudes FROM Blair witch. Especially because the theory it was a plan to kill the Chick they brought out there makes this REALLY dark.

But they need money from executives, they need support from advertisers and they need the fandom to actually support them rather than just half-ass complain online about it. It's not impossible but people gotta learn to help. Where's the props for fighting to get a movie's tax write off undone? Where's the props for airing a show that didn't air in the 90s on Boomerang now? Where's the props for slowly breaking down most of the hour long blocks to put shows back on the air? Where's the props for the Checkered past bumps? Where the props for making 90% of both CN and Boom's Halloween scheduled fit for the holiday? I get it that there's a long way to go, but anyone who misses the original CN that isn't at least somewhat supporting the current channels needs a reality check.

this was real, as a kid who didn't see the Blair Witch, this was legitimately creepy and it lasted a week so they really kept it tense, the portion where they stumble upon the drive in was the period of the marathon where they ran Scooby Doo Movies
it was real i was there when it aired in 1999 it was part of a marathon and it spoofed the blair witch project
Somehow I saw some of this when I was about 3 and enjoying the marathon. I didn’t see the whole thing, but I did remember the small glimpse of the monster and that scared me enough to where I stopped watching the promos and just started changing the channel when it pops up.
