Christoph Waltz Partied Hard With Quentin Tarantino After The Golden Globes | CONAN on TBS
/ teamcoco
I gotta say this guys acting in inglorious bastards was one of the best acting I've ever seen ever!!!
This is my favourite actor! Love Tarantino Films.
Then you haven't seen my acting. I'm the next biggest actor in Hollywood (-:
just watched it yesterday hence why i'm on his interview. I completely agree, he was absolutely amazing
Cool Kid . yeah, and your name is cool kid, yeah....
One of the best scenes I have ever seen on film
Over 50 years old, went to Hollywood, worked with that eccentric, violence-loving, sadistic director - won 2 Oscars for Best Actor.
MJk Slasher supporting
yea Tarantino is a weird guy but that shouldn't be considered bad, plus his movies are GREAT, and Christoph is just Christoph if you give him a good role he WILL nail it . But i do miss Harvey Keitel in Tarantino and Scorcese films :I
+LEUNAM LAFLARE Well "nailing" it is kind of what a good actor is expected to do, and yes Christoph delivers.
Some would argue he often plays the same roles, which is kinda true actually ...
*Best supporting actor.
+TJ-OfTheMushroomPeople He plays a lot of characters similar to Hans Landa, but King Schultz was very different
When I watched Basterds for the first time, I kept asking myself, where did this guy come from? How come he's so good and I've never heard of him? Tarantino really lived up to his name, and gave the world this amazing actor. I hope he does many more movies, I will watch them all!
i didnt like the musketeers, but that was not christoph waltz´s fault...i have a feeling though that quentins scripts really fit waltz pretty amazingly. they have somewhat of a synergy imo.
@@OfftopicStuff the dude was so good i didnt even know he was in musketeers..
Green Hornet came out before Basterds didn't it?
He was in Austria being very famous there. ;) Other countries have films and famous people too. Hehe America doesn't import too much cinema, we like to think ours is the best.
when i saw Waltz in Inglorious Bastards i thought he was THE most terrifying villian ever.
And he achieved that without any screaming and shouting and usual antics we see so much with zamerican villans
I love that Waltz's sense of humor is so subtle, at times he cracks jokes that you would miss if you weren't aware of it.
He is one of the few actors who is as interesting as his characters.
And that's saying something!
I can definitely tell that theres a cultural difference there in humor.
+Curtis I know! It creates a slightly weird vibe.
+Curtis he's austrian. there is no humor.
+V You must be german LOL
Bruce Wayne you must be batman.
+Bruce Wayne. na na na na na na na na na na na na na na.... BATMAAAN
Wow, Cristoph Waltz seems like a really down to Earth dude.
Well he has no talent, so he should have his feet on the ground.
+Jacob Prayer all the actors in hollywood but Christoph Waltz has no talent? wow
+Jacob Prayer lol troll
+Jacob Prayer You've obviously not seen any of the movies he played in then... Theres a reason he's popping up everywhere lolz
+Nick Piberius Wilde if talking slowly, in a high pitched voice makes you a great actor, than Christoph, Jerry Lewis, and Andy Kauffman are the greatest actors of all time, hands down.
I would love to party with Quentin, but would most likely die in the process.
I'm picturing lots of shots, getting in the trunk of a car and someone getting beheaded
Maknirak Coke. Can't forget the coke.
ForeverRepublic Make it Diet for me
Karthik Nair A diet high hahahahaha
Imagine a party with Tarantino and George R. R. Martin.
I feel like he hasn't completely sobered up by this point.
Jack Savignac x
Who cares !!!
Who cares... It’s non of ya business.
@@Puppy_Puppington This is from so long ago I can't even remember what this video is about or making this comment. Get a life and stop replying to comments from 5 years ago lol
@@caspian3755 why thank you 🤣
I always come back to this video because of 4:22 That look he gives Conan is hilarious
7 years later, it remains a brilliant subtle piece of physical comedy
I love the way Christoph says “i went out last night”
He says it in such a manner that you immediately know, it got nuts.
That awkward moment when you realize Christoph has a more refined and enticing humor than Conan at Conan's show.
More like uncomfortable humor.
They're both funny in different ways.
operacarmen Good point but I feel like this can be a knee-jerk reaction to any situation in which the guest comes off as better than the host. Which is invalid to say the least.
?
+operacarmen Thank you! That's what Conan does best and that's what makes him such a good interviewer. Conan is also one of the smartest comics out there.
Christoph owns every single interview I've ever seen him at, he controls the tone of the interview and can make a fool of the interviewer any time he wants.
It's amaizing how natural and humble mr Waltz is... he didn't need to pose or pretend he's a cool guy and stuff.. he just went there being himself, and that's not something you see everyday
That's a Bingo!!
You just say bingo...
***** Bingo, how fun!!!
Joshua Cox But, I digress.
Das ist ein Bingo!!!!
Is that how u say a Bingo
He is the best character in inglourious basterds
This fits Tarantinos opinion ^^
FeliSC00 I would also rank Fassbender in there. But yes. You're right.
He is the best character in any movie he's in
And Django
That’s a bingo !
This guy's sense of humour is amazing. Is it an Austrian thing?
he's just amazingly charismatic
it kinda is, i dont know any Austrian, who doesn't have an good sense of humour.
And i am Austrian, so y i kinda think its like a part of our "Nature".
this has to be sarcasm, there's no way you are not joking, not in a million years that would ever true because the chances of that happening are actually much lower.
"no its not" has GOT to be a german..
na gut dann versteh ich nicht wie du sowas sagen kannst^^ aber jeder is natürlich entitled to his/her opinion :)
Tarantino can make anyone a star. He has never miscast anyone. I wish he would cast more unknown actors in his movie. I believe they're as good as (or even better) than most celebrity actors. Good for Christoph. Is there any role for me, Quentin? ;)
He miscasted a lot of germans for Inglorious Basterds, but that's because our german actors are all shit.
Micheal Fassbender is now a superstar. He's become then Magneto in X-Men.
LNhart
more precise: a lot of the "big names" in Germany (it sometimes feel liker there are about 5 of them in total) are extremely mediocre .... *cough Til Schweiger cought *
Fräulein Septimus mediocre is a big compliment for Til Schweiger. No, he is absolute rubbish.
I believe Quentin mentioned that John Travolta was not his first choice (Pulp Fiction).
Im so drawn to Christoph waltz because of his sophisticated speech, large use of vocabulary, and his unique voice. I thought Samuel and Leo was amazing in Django Unchained, but Christoph honestly did a brilliant job!
Love Christoph... Awesome actor, great guy.
Andy: spend an afternoon with you
GOLD!
Blakkheim Andy has always been the "one liner powerhouse" of the duo. Dude says the most hilarious stuff during that split second break in a conversation.
4:23 in repeat
It was so quick and crisp! God, I love this kind of humor
I dont get it
I came here for this
It is so hilariously funny, BUT JUST WHY? It's only a tiny glance, and yet...extraordinary.
4:26 I just caught a glimpse of Hans Landa.
Jasper Yangchareon you’re sheltering enemies of the state, are you not?
Mr. Waltz? He looks good anyway, with or without beard, long hair, short, dark or light... brows or none... he is the perfect gentleman you would love to spend an evening with, just chatting and enjoying a glass of wine :) I wish all guys were just a sweet and smart... + funny as well!
+Karinin75 These comments make me cringe
lol :) sorry
I couldn't agree more!!!
+Karinin75 why be sorry, I'll join y'all!!! LOL!!! I love wine. I love Christoph Waltz!!!! why not!!!???
:) hahaha, I thought you did not like the idea. Now we are a team! ! Waltz team! ;) Yay... that's great now I don't feel that weird! !
Christoph is such a kid. He always puts a smile on my face
Waltz’s voice is so soft and gentlemanly that Conan’s screaming makes him sound like a vulture
waltz looks like quentin showd him a dead body.
+איתן פויכטונגר That was only the beginning...
איתן פויכטונגר might have too
this comment SENT ME
I would not be surprised.
i can't explain how much i LOVE this guy!!! he's a real treasure to our world
I just can’t stop watching 4:26 it is just so funny for no reason
I like how Waltz communicates with like 90 percent body language.
That's Austria for you, right in between the very sober and very expressive parts of Europe
Fuckin love this guy
"whats it like going out with Quentin Tarantino" Feet everywhere
he's hung over here lol, he's usually very articulate and thoughtful.
I met him at one of the Golden Globes after parties and he was the sweetest guy. He is such a gentleman and has incredibly soft hands and smells fantastic! I can't wait to interview him.
Am I the only person that stopped the video and rewatched that 10 second interaction 20 times?
Christoph: "I have very strict work ethics."
Conan: "Yes."
Christoph: "........"
Oh my god why havent I watched Christoph Waltz on talkshows (especially Conan) before? The guy is really sharp and witty. I love how his sense of humor resonates with Conan so well!
We miss him on German TV. He was so good as the side kick of that police dog. His most prestigious role for his first 40 years.
Can I have the name of that German TV show?
I love ❤️💕💗 Christoph and curious what was he like before he got so famous.
A fan from Singapore 🇸🇬
@@TEEHuetinck I think it was "Kommissar Rex".
Christoph waltz is an amazing actor
4:23 ''Psh! Like he would understand.''
He has one of those voices that are so unique & enjoyable to listen to. I could seriously listen to him talk all day.
I adore Christoph! He is a genius!
Christoph Waltz !!!! Easy on these eyes of mine !!! Sexy, smart man. Brilliant actor !!!!!!
***** THANK YOU!!! My goodness, im SOOOO happy someone added a comment!!!! Lol !!! I thought he was so handsome in Inglorious Basterds. He is SOOOO sweet in real life, Certainly not Hans Landa!! Lol ! Have a nice day!!!
***** need to try!!!! Feeling sad today!!!!
+JubalCalif where are you from? I'm from Texas. male? female? you're so kind!!! thank you!!!!
+JubalCalif thanks sweety!!!!!
+JubalCalif Are you where the wildfires are? I hope not!!!!
"Despite the shots, I have very strict work ethics."
😂😂😂😂😂😂
He was done filming. Off work. I waited 5 hours until he was finished. I was very respectful, thank you very much.
Everything about Christoph Waltz is sexy: his face, voice, mannerisms, smile, talent, etc. He's got it going on!
"Spend an afternoon with YOU and try to stay off a device."
Lmao Andy is hilarious
0:18 "no you can't" Christoph truly listens to what people are saying, his replies are often so prescice they disarm the casual question that prompted them. Maybe because he understands the question better than the person asking it. He doesn't flow well with that Jimmy guy for the same reason.
I like how Christoph Waltz won an Oscar for both of his collabs with QT. Seeing great actors receiving accreditation they deserved just feels great.
4:24 LOL.. He's like "when did I work with this guy?" xD
Maybe I am ignorant or just stupid, but it seems that Christoph Waltz has this ability to say so much by saying so little. Absolutely brilliant.
He looked better with a full head of hair and a longer beard
every man does
He might be shooting another movie? :o but yeah i agree
if you're talking about this interview, yes his hair was short because he was shooting a movie, but that was over a year ago and that movie has been released already. he currently has a beard again and that is also for a movie which he is about to start shooting
MitholX what movie was it?
the zero theorem
Mega wie der Waltz diesen Blick nochmal zu Conan rüber wirft, nachdem er was über "work ethics" gesagt hat.
"Shake my hand, I insist."
Buggle Bum “If you insist.” *Walks over, brandishes pistol, and FIRES
"Shaving your eyebrows seems like a fraternity prank!"
Trust me Conan, Austrian frats go way harder than that
He has quickly become one of my favorite actors. Aside from the fact that he's, you know, a phenomenal actor, there's just something about him that draws me in.
4:25 that was both awkward and funny xD
I hear Quentin commented on just how well he speaks his dialogue. And even just hearing him talk in interviews that sophisticated diction and vocabulary that he brings to Tarantino's movies is just pretty much himself lol
2:39 I was hoping to hear Christoph reply with "I LOVE RUMORS!"
4:26 didn't see that coming xD
Waltz has such a fantastic sense of humour. One quick look is a solid joke
Andy fucking Richter, every time he makes a joke it's perfect.
I knew Conan would be the only talk show host authentic enough to get Christoph Waltz and there would be a mutual respect and admiration between them.
4:25 WTF LOL?
Er ist einfach großartig...eigentlich eine Schande, dass er sich erst über Tarantino international etablieren konnte und seine Heimat sein Talent offensichtlich nicht erkannt hat. What a man.
There is a reason Andy is the side kick. Perfect punch lines ready-to-go!
I thought he was Paul Bettany in the thumbnail 😂
Wow, Christoph is hilarious! That subtle humour is gold 👌
waltz makes a really subtle remark or gesture and conan is just HAHHAHAUHEUAHAUE >clap< >clap
He seems a cold person without intention which misteriously and clearely amaze , entertain and make peoples around him feel great !!!
Andy killed it, he doesn't talk often but when he does, anything that comes out of his mouth is gold
I love you,Quentin.
why is that look he gave Conan so funny 🤣🤣 I can't even tell why it's so funny, but I rewatched a dozen times by now
I don't think I've laughed this hard in an interview in a long while. 3:33 and 4:25, I just absolutely lost it and had to pause the video while catching for breath. It's these small, natural things Waltz does so well that also make up a big part in his brilliant acting. :')
I respect Christoph so much, that dryness near the beginning was a classy german hangover lmao they probably got drunk af the night before
That moment you realize Christopher Waltz won an Oscar and a Golden Globe in less time than Leonardo DiCaprio in bus entire career in America. Damn
agree. he appears and sweeps us right away
Because foreign actors are simply better.... Let's face it.
He had been working for 20 years more than Leo , Quentin picke him from obscurity.
Which bus?
christoph waltz seems to have an amazing personality, he clearly isn't totally in sync with conans humor, but totally makes it work
Anyone wanna see a coen brothers directed dark comedy with John Malkovich and Christoph Waltz as brothers?? it would be epic..
+Suyucha maka ohh....
The first interviews of Herr Waltz that I saw surprised me; I had no idea that the person who played these colorful, massive presences on the big screen was such an introverted, soft-spoken, and cautiously reserved man. I really like the difference.
Most actors these days are only picked if they're EXACTLY like their potential role. To be able to play these now legendary roles so brilliantly, and in such stark contrast to his personality...Waltz is truly a master of his craft.
His voice still always reminds me of "Django" so, I am scared that he is going to kill Conan
Here 23, and also i find him very attractive, he's a dream.
German and austrian actors have great talents, I'm proud of my country
+Martinex letypex Austria?
No Germany
yeah, you're right, but germany does have a greater variety of actors /actresses.
where are you from?
Martinex letypex
Vienna, Austria
Dude is a genius and a great actor.
What's Eating Gilbert Grape ;)
Der einzige im Ausland bekannte Österreicher für den man sich nicht schämen muss
That is one classy dude.
How can this man do a talk show hungover, I can't even leave the house 😂💁
I think he would be great House M.D
Greatest actor of our time. His roles in IB and Django were just amazing!
I'm really wondering if Waltz is gonna stay with his image. As long as Tarantino keeps him doing the German roles, we won't see his full potential. I am feeling like this guy hasn't shown everything he is capable of, because he hasn't gotten any special or new roles.
At least one Austrian becoming famous. Besides Arnie. =)
You should check out his other non american roles
Dude, what do you mean by German roles - roles of people from Germany or roles that have to do with the language? Because if it's the seccond than - how's that showing his full potential any less than a role only in English?
He was awesome in the Green Hornet
America needs more people like Christoph to just take it slow, he talks at a reasonable pace and in todays world thats not very common. Not sure why i'm saying this or noticed this but I appreciate a man who takes time to properly speak the English language which, by the way, is not his first language.
you can't know for sure if Conan is actually laughing or foribly laughing
@4:23 quite possibly the funniest tv moment of all time
I love this guy, he can make you laugh with just one moment-long glance! 4:24
his sense of humor is divine ^^
wow, someone was still drunk
This man ages like a fine wine.
Umm.. I need him to grow back his hair and Django full facial hair regalia.
thats one example of a celeb with a hangover during an interview
such an amazing actor but hes sooo hungover loooool
I went to the same school as him here in Vienna (Austria), he was a pretty normal guy, his career as an actor was pretty much under everyones radar, and BOOM - Tarantino makes a movie with and he has 2 Oscars! :D
