My favourite part about this arc, beside the beautiful hug, is how they finally get to be a comfort and support for each other. Woo Jin has had people rebuke and complain about his honesty, justice seeking need, and whistleblower tag all through his career now. He faced another situation of the same cycle happening and he wouldn't have blamed her for disliking or fighting him. But for the first time, first time ever, someone defended him and did the whistleblowing WITH him. Eun Jae didn't just understand him, she confronted her mother in his place and even informed the patient while he handled Dr. Park. She TEAMED UP with him in something that he had only gotten negative reactions about till now. And after all that, despite all that, she had the heart to apologize to him for the situation with her mother because she knows that he has had to face that thing before and she definitely understands the demeaning nature of it. As her equal in caring, he doesn't insult her mother or badmouth her family even though they try to basically bribe him. He also gives her space when she requests it so that she can handle her mother on her own. They showed what a healthy relationship looks like where two people respect each other and trust each other completely. Both of them showed concern, didn't let the other's dignity down, and still stood by their principles. The show has built their relationship so well and steadily that we see the love in every episode even if they haven't 'officially' gotten together yet. We already know that they fit together because they have everything that a strong relationship needs. Peak power couple, for sure!
The way he put her hands on her arms first... almost like saying "is this crossing the line?" and when he thinks it's safe, he proceeds with the hug. Such a beautiful moment. This scene really warmed my heart (and I cried buckets at Eun Jae finally standing up for herself against her mother, such a wonderful soul she is 🥺)
Can we just stop and appreciate how gentle woojin is? He put his hands on her arms to make sure she’s okay to be comforted by him and proceed to hug her and patted her back which im sure that’s also what he needed at tht moment 😭🥺💕

I love how she finally released a sob when he hugged her❤ Man, the way they stood by each other, making the co-existence of their differences possible in their actions, understand each other's shortcomings and even comfort each other when none of them asked for it... if this ain't romance I dont know what is. I prefer the warmth of this relationship more, to be honest. Seriously though, those people who keep on asking for 'more' romantic scenes aren't properly watching the entire show.
This is so wholesome. We dont get a lot of skinships from these two, but this hug feels so warm😭 I mean its only a hug but why am I so moved seeing this. To be honest, this was the best hug i've seen so far in Kdramas. It's not stiff and they are close, unlike other who keeps a space between. Like it's a drama.
I hope Kocowa also releases the scene before this because Eunjae was also protective of Woojin when she confronted her mom--by telling her not to drag her and Woojin out in her brother's mess and by implying he's always been there in the worst days of her uni life. I love these two so much they have such a healthy relationship built on trust and dignified values
