The first woman is the best! She seems to be so down to earth as she was eating all that food. Even her manner of speaking. Man...She's awesome! He's a lucky man!
1st concern definitely has an undiagnosed medical issue. I've known someone like that in the past, who because her high metabolism she couldn't gain weight no matter how much she ate. I don't like that the show was thinking about this only in terms of how much money it costs, or how it might be embarrassing at restaurants. She needs to seek out a doctor who has experience with these kinds of issues.

I have a high metabolism as well. I eat like a hog and haven't gained a pound since high school. Pregnancy aside. Even then, I was all baby. I didn't gain weight anywhere else but my stomach. Couldn't even tell I was pregnant if you were standing behind me.

I really liked Roy Kims views on the husband and wife and that they should try and 'adjust to each other', in all honesty that woman reminded me a lot of my own mother, they are sensitive, can get angry easily and are very passionate and the man was seriously the exact same as my dad, not wanting to create more ruckus and think before entering a conflict or troublesome situation, being a daughter of these 2 kind of people i sympathize with Roy kims views in that it shouldn't all be on the husband and 'standing up/fighting' more for his wife, his wife should also try to put on a more nice, less serious and angry face and attitude when wrong situations occur, to avoid things from escalating too bad, but i'm in no way saying that what he parents endured (being hurt, pushed etc.) was right, but we don't know about the 'full' situation and the entire conflict that occurred on both sides, so i don't think it's right that we make these conclusions that 'everything the wife did was right'. lol okay, rant done~~
I agree and honestly, after watching that entire concern to the end, I feel that she is an instigator and a bully. If I trip over your cart or your foot, why should I argue until YOU apologize? It's ridiculous. Even the cast said she is scary looking. Way too much jumping on the "husband is a coward" bandwagon. I will not get into a fist fight just because my wife can't avoid arguing with everyone who crosses her path. I feel sorry for him that he has to constantly suck up to her. Perhaps this should have been HIS concern.

I stand by every word I said in support of the original commentator of which the primary observations were that the wife is over-reactive in many situations, often escalating not dissipating confrontations and that the husband is more laid back and not wanting to have angry confrontations as a regular part of their lives. Your personal insults to me I will forgive and your hopes for me are insignificant in my life. And finally I would suggest that you won't always get a decent reply to a 4 year old comment. I already let my feelings be known. To summarize: if I had a wife who slammed over another persons foot with her shopping cart then had the brain damage to start arguing with the innocent person who was just trying to stand there, I would certainly not wade in with fists swinging.

I think the first woman just has a metabolism that works way too fast thats why she's so skinny everything digests too quickly. But there's medication for that.. also it's weird that they didnt notice anything in the hospital when she was pregnant.

the first concern is a concern because of how much it costs the family, but to me, it really doesn't seem like a concern that can be solved....
I have the same concern as the girl, i can´t put on weight no matter how much i eat. I used to eat as much as her! You don´t have bulimia just because you eat alot and not put on weight, she doesn´t have an eating disorder! neither do i, even though alot of people ask me if i have. there was a period where i used to eat junk food 24/7 literally. I got sick and went to the doctor! He said that my stomach is infected because of the junk foods, and even if i eat alot, i will never put on weight. I eat alot now, but i just can´t eat junk food (maybe twice a month) etc. So she should go to the doctor, and check herself! Just because you´re skinny, doesn´t mean you should eat alot of unhealthy food, your organs will be damaged, just like mine was! I am healthy now, got diagnosed 3 yrs ago with alot things, but now i have only gastric and anemia now, thank god! I weight 47 kg, and i´m 173 cm

Yup I'm the same as you, except my dad stopped me from eating junk food. I'm 176.7cm and 49kg, no I do not have a tape worm, I get checked for that all the time, I just don't gain weight (I think the food goes to my height). I think it's just natural for some people, but everybody judges and always thinks there's something wrong which can get annoying.
I never did put on weight all my life.
Now that I'm 40, my metabolism slowed down, and I gained a bit of weight. Still in the underweight category, though.

This is now one of my favorite episodes.
That husband and wife are total opposites.
She's confrontational and doesn't mind saying what's on her mind (filter or not) and he's non-confrontational and seems very chill.
All they need to do is adjust to one another a bit. She's got to understand that he's not going to do or say anything that could potentially cause trouble and he shouldn't try and stop her from saying what she feels. If that's who she is and he knew that when he married her then it shouldn't come as a surprise and vice versa.

Actually on the husband's side on the second concern...judging at how the woman narates the situations, you can tell she makes a big scene when things dont go her way
I have to agree with this. the reason why she feels her husband is never on her side is because he doesn't want to make a scene. not everything has to be resolved with confrontation.
The husband even said about the trolley incident that the other woman was all alone. He did right by not joining in the argument/fight.

The husband who wouldn't stick up for his wife is a little bit of a coward but I think it's wrong for people to expect him to join a fight just because his wife is involved...I believe people have choices to make daily if something happens you can choose how to handle it and I don't think the wife handles things well, she has a fiery temperament like the incident with the dad instead of trying to fight the guy, check if your dad is okay, call an ambulance and then call the police on the guy if he has done something so bad why take matters into your own hands that's how people get killed these days am sure she doesn't want her husband to martyr himself so she needs to learn some self control and stop getting overly emotional....I mean am I the only one who when someone refuses to apologise like in the incident with the mum, you just accept they a rude sons of bitches and take your mum to hospital, end of story
Especially since the mother apparently tripped. The story didn't say that someone ran into her.. but that she tripped. Why is anyone supposed to apologize as if they did something wrong? At most the other person could have shown compassion and helped her up, but they didn't seem to do anything wrong at all to cause the fall.
tvtoms Supposedly, they said that the other woman yelled at her saying "Why don't you watch where you're going?" first instead of helping the mother up... so that's probably why they were looking for an apology.
Yeah, it was "You should look where you're going. Why did you fall?" and I posted elsewhere that it would have been nicer to say "oooo.. are you ok?" but still, to demand that she apologize first I think is a bit too much. Hard to imagine it was on purpose or neglectful really. Personally I would have reacted by immediately helping her up and asking if she was OK, even if I did nothing wrong.
I think the wife is aggressive and hot-tempered. With that kind of her voice and facial expression, it's easy to raise an unnecessary fight everyday. It could be no problem for a short time, but time after time, living with her is tired.
Just like he always seems to do right? Step in and stop yet another fight with yet another person..Consider such a person after he's seen it all 100 times and I think we're starting to understand the man and his reactions. Just a guess.

i feel symphathy for the girl on last concern. she reminds me of my self a lot. my voice is naturally loud (though i'm not as fat as her) and i have a really big reenactment, like i use all my bodies to reenact what i'm trying to tell, with a loud laughter, i often clap also. i think i'm worse than her, because i move around a lot as well, sometimes nudging at strangers due to that. my friends keep telling me to reduce the laughter excitement and people sometimes starring at me while i'm laughing on public places, but i have never received such unpolite treatment like hers.
i just think it's normal that some people are naturally born with such excitement. they can't control it, it's just come out naturally. so, the surrounding should try to respect the others' personality.

It's sad that the first one, no one pointed out it could be a health-related issue. Instead, they kept talking about food costs... And shouldn't the couple see a doctor instead of coming to this program where no one actually knows anything and can't help at all?? I love the guests but still smh

She eats a lot because food is fuel for our body to use as energy. her metabolism is fast so she gets hungry often. my husband is the same way. He is always hungry and weighs around 140lbs. I on the other hand have PCOS, which causes Insulin Resistance. This means that sugars and carbs are not broken to make energy for my body, instead it creates fat. My husband eats more then I do but I weigh 300lbs because of my slow metabolism and pcos. Every one's body is different. That is why it's rude for people to tell a fat person to "eat a salad" and a skinny person to "eat a burger".

I'm 166cm and 50kg girl. I have exactly the same metabolism as her, like no matter how much I eat I just dont get weight. my mom took me to see the doctor to see if I have a medical problem. but like the woman, doctor didn't find anything wrong. it's just my metabolism work a little bit faster than other people. It's not an illness, I just was born that way. It's sad that people think that she might be a bulimia, because I get that a lot too.

The girl at the first concern probably has hyperthyroidism, wich makes your metabolism work abnormally fast and is a serious condition. I'm surprised the husband come to the show with his mother in law to ask for her to eat less instead of taking her to a doctor and seek for treatment.

I'm 5'9 male, and i weight 50 kilos, people always think that there is something wrong with me, but guess what? I eat just fine if not too much. So I can relate to the first concern, it's just that every human body has it own nature, my sisters they hardly eat and they gain while I lose weight.
I had hyperthyroidism. This woman's issue is not, i can assure you... Just a metabolism thing. And i really would like to have this thing !!!!

@MeneTekel Conventional doctors usually don't give you answers to problems like this or they say it's one thing when it's not. My mom has an enzyme deficiency and a lot of other problems, but she had to research herself and got to other kinds of doctors to figure out what was wrong with her. One conventional doctor told her that there was nothing wrong with her, she obviously knew he was wrong though
The concern is not that the first woman eats a lot, but that people want her to eat less. She is so skinny, and with the amount of food she has been eating she had still lost weight.
They basically wanted her to cut down 50% of her current food intake, and I can only imagine how much more weight she would lose if she did.
Personally, I think she has a high metabolism (and I am referring to the disease, not the "above average metabolism" depending on your height, muscle mass, weight etc.), and she should go and get a check-up to see if there is anthing wrong, because if her metabolism is too high, her heart will continue to beat extremely fast when resting (just like ours does when performing cardio) and evantually give out
