Learn to play A Major, E Major, B, Major as well as A flat Major, E flat Major and B flat Major scales in first postition on the violin beginning woth the forst finger. In this tutorial, Catherine shows you how you can easily learn all six of these One Octave Scales as well as their matching Arpeggios. This clear and simple tutorial is perfect for beginner violin students. This is also great for violin teachers seeking new and interesting ways to teach scales on the violin. In this video, you will learn how to play six major scales from the 1st finger using the H (high) hand shape or finger pattern, where the 3rd and 4th fingers are together. Using this hand pattern makes it very easy to transpose your scales from one string to the next, and from natural to flat notes!
