Noice. That V-belt pulley can run a small alternator for lights/battery maybe.
good job man! . few know , folks like us are "green new deal superior" we reuse most things that others create land fills with.
by repurposing , we get more dividends from the energy used to create whatever it is we saved.
my truck has 440k on original motor and everything i own is old . but it's all reliable and practical. i have almost the same boat with a seized mercury 150 black max. i also have a 23 hp kohler vertical v twin sitting around. i think this inspired me to finish that.
Sea foam ? You really do know a lot about 2 stroke outboards.
Never had a power head off. To do what I want to do I dont know if I need to support the shaft with a flange bearing or not. I have a Skeeter bass boat with a 175 Johnson. Told my daughter I was going to sell it. She raised hell. I said I dont know anything about those motors. She ordered me a repair manual. That has to be a gas guzzler. It's been sitting for over 10 years. I wonder how a 22 hp Briggs would work on that with chain and sprockets. Dont need 175 hp to go 2 miles up the creek.
Sorry it took so long to get back with you do a direct drive or a belt drive you will not have to worry about rust issues direct drive is better there will be no slippage from the Bells If it gets wet
Love it, glad I subbed!!! That does remind me a lot of my chunky boat. Makes me want to build another, thanks for sharing.
Nice build. Can it be done and still use the shifter ? Forward Neuwtrol Reverse
I would imagine so but I had to cannibalize it to get started on the project Now I have a piece of aluminum pipe on the shifter it works fine stirring it by hand with a thiller arm
Do you have a build video?
I took pictures I will have put together a slide show please forgive me I am computer stupid it may take some time we'll get some to you
What’s the top speed??
With the factory prop on the 55 evinrude lower With the wife kids dog fuel tank me and I am a big boy coolers 14' try haul fibreglass it go's 7 miles per hour upstream 8 miles per hour downstream on the AU Sable River in Michigan
Have you considered removing the Governor? Or maybe a thinner head gasket to improve compression and power?
@@CameronsCars no really that trip was the first time on the water with the engine on the boat i don't have to go fast i just have to go that trip i ran it about 40 miles it is a pig on gas the boat is to heavy
Nice !
Do not listen to the naysayers love this
Put it in the water!!
I have put on about 2:00 miles with that engine as of today it is spectacular Check out the other videos and thank you Please like share and subscribe
4 strokes suck !!! Much heavier, much more maintenance and not as fast as 2 strokes that thing should go back on the mower where it belongs ! If you don't know how to work on 2 stroke motors take it to someone who does
Awesome build
