    I did review this product but I no longer recommend it. Allegedly there has been too many reports of allergic reactions.

      Dear Anna, I was interested in the company TGB, but after your video I am concerned ordering. I searched the internet but could not find specifically TGB & allergic reactions. Or do you mean BIABS (all companies) in general are causing allergies? thanks from Germany :-*

      After seeing many brands linked to some pretty serious allergic reactions (like clients nails lifting and literally falling off) I have decided to stick to reputable brands, products made in EU/USA/Canada only. Preferably hypoallergenic. The term “non toxic” and “safe” is actually only a marketing jargon that doesn’t mean much.

    I really appreciate and love this video 💐💐 I’ve been seeing clients (while I finish my final Nail Tech assessments) for approx 4 months now.
    I am struggling to get my service times down 😢 something always seems to go wrong… sigh… or I’m just slow and a perfectionist 🤦🏻‍♀️😭
    It’s really disheartening some days but finding videos like this one really helps, thank you 💐💐💐

      Speed comes with time and practice. Just keep practicing as much as you can. At 4 months you should be working on consistency and quality. And I’m not talking perfection because no one expects perfection.
      I have many watch me work videos. Keep watching them. That’s how I learned. By watching others. Don’t give up.

    I am so confused.. I learned to take away shine from the natural nail before application. But yesterday someone told me that this will damage the natural nails.. And they told me to file down to the basecoat and start from there. Never to soak off. But I see you soaking off every time. And you don't take off any shine from the nail plate? Just prepping cuticles? And do you dehydrate with acetone?

  • @Sarah-ic4yu

    I love this natural look! Would you recommend this or regular gel for an at home user? I’ve been using standard nail polish my whole life, but I’ve finally decided to give up trying with it because no matter how perfectly I do my nails, they end up getting messed up within the first day. I think my climate is just too humid for nail polish to dry properly enough for more than 1 coat polish

    • @TheSalonLife

      Hi there! If I don’t see that the product is moving or pulling away from the free edge and just sits nicely up to the very edge then I don’t. If I do in that case I end up with a bulge which I hate lol. But when I see product moving and pulling away I freeze cure it and then I cap it. It stays at the very edge then.

    So basically to me, BIAB is similar with gel colour, you till have to cure it under the lamp, and take them off every 2-3wks, or maybe 4 wks, thats my opinion. I had client asked me about this product yesterday thats why i came here to check it out, but i see no difference. May i ask sth cos someone told me different because they said they wont take off everything on clients nail, they only file the colour off, till the base coat, and put new colour on the top, is that ok to do so? Thank u

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but then it’s not a gel polish service but a natural nail overlay with gel polish on top.
      Base coat would be very thin, like a nail polish. It would be impossible to file all the color down to the base coat and not damage the nails. But if you have a thin overlay then yes you can because these it more product between the nail and gel polish.

      Good question! The client missed the appointment because she was sick and she soaked off her product. It kind of bubbled on another client. It was hit and miss to be honest. It's little too rubbery to be filled in I have a feeling.

    • @kelseymaloy4453
      @kelseymaloy4453 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for the reply! I have been hearing people use this as a base and file and fill it. That is what I'm looking for- something I can apply and then file and fill each time on my naturally thin nails. Preferably something lighter than dip nails but just as strong.

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      this is flexible product. I would suggest hard gel. Less staining, brighter colors and way better to file. Don't count for product for strength.

      If I find a thin enhancement product that adds value to the manicures but still looks super thin and wears better then yes, I will charge extra.
