I can get the 6700xt for 420 Canadian while the absolute cheapest 7700xt is 589 black Fridays special but the normal price is 619 at the cheapest. So for around 200 dollars for the normal price and 15 percent GST tax it comes up to 483 CAD with free delivery for the cheapest 6700xt and the 7700xt comes to 678,50. The 6700 XT (or RDNA2 in general) isn't capable of showing total board power, it can only display the power consumption of the chip itself (usually around 170-185W max), so this doesn't look like real comparision but rather a simulated scenario.

    • @headlesscyborgcz
      @headlesscyborgcz ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@FuNBOoLa No game should show anything above ~185 unless heavily overlocked or faked. It's simply not possible. The card has 230W TDP but RDNA2 can't show Total Board Power, just the GPU chip consumption, so the rest is VRAM and so on. I have an overlay always active and it's not possible to get beyond the above stated value. That's why I blocked this channel, it's most likely faked.

      @@headlesscyborgczAMD Radeon RX 6700 XT will appear in two variants differing in TGP ratio. The first version has a higher TGP of about 230W and is expected to be much more susceptible to further overclocking. The second version of the card should have a lower TGP of around 189W. Due to the stricter power limitation, this GPU variant may finally offer slightly worse gaming performance.

    Last Gen's 6800 (and up) GPUs & the new 7000 series have serious power issues @ video playback (youtube, Netflix, video players etc.)
    40+ W is stupidly HIGH & meaningless... and while the previous 6700 XT consumes only 16W, the new 7700 XT doubles that power draw with a whooping 33W on "video playback"
    AMD should solve that power issue @ video playback at least in the next 8000 series. No, I'm NOT UpGrading. I'll stay with RX 6700XT until the next Gen.

    • @DIMON13585
      @DIMON13585 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did you test it with some physical equipment? Because AMD has changed something in TDP readings, so it shows total power draw in 7series instead of "not total power draw" that 6series has.
