I re-watched the movie after years, and I can say now, after all that, I can finally appreciate how amazing the movie is. Definitely one of my favorites.
I'm glad this song was used in Donnie Darko because this was the perfect song for Jake Gyllenhaal's character. It describes him piece by piece. Donnie Darko will forever remain my favorite movie.

i think the lyrics are showing how donnie thinks about the world (me too), that´s why it fits so great to him. everybody should listen to this, listen to the words. perhaps something will change
