I am literally blown away...I just listened to it on Spotify and came to see if there were any covers....My God you guys did an amazing job covering my favorite guitarist. Wow.
@@MrPolevaulter simply amazing. Truly. I would be honored if you guys would check out my page and subscribe. It’s more piano than guitar so far but it’s a work in progress. Thank you in advance and continued Blessings th-cam.com/channels/FFHee_4h-PFjwPXJtl9sHQ.html
ELMO , aww I love this my dream came true that you and Cesario Filho would do this together. Elmo you need to get those yngwie sunglasses also like Cesario and need to do more videos like this wear those sunglasses and playing yngwie phrygian dominant licks, yngwie diminshed finger tapping licks , harmonic minor finger tapping licks, yngwie diminished pedal point licks.
Clicked on this for the title. Cesario had a fatter sound but most of the licks were from Malmsteen and Alcatrazz tracks! Elmo made the track his own, as the licks were never repeated and very little reference to Malmsteen. Overall, both were exceptional but my trophy would go to the White Strat Guy, just as his playing was not predictable.
Ah. See, wanting to really shred the crap out of a guitar, pushing it to the limits of human ability and endurance is what motivated me to play guitar all those years ago. Sadly, I never will reach that illustrious level of ability but I ALWAYS love seeing someone do what I wish I could and this video is just that. For someone like me it's food to a starving man. Just fabulous by both!
You both awesome !! I am a huge Young Yngwie fan ! Feels great !! More is more !! Play Loud !! From Paris France all the best !! Love Yngwie style playing and maestro Music !! YJM Red Fender Overdrive on 11 ! ;) More videos like this one !! would be great to organise with both of you in Paris an Yngwie Masterclass !
@@StevenAMckayAuthor yeah, and Elmo's phrasing in better imo (and he seems to be more humble than Cesario filho, which is important also) (pd: no, I'm not yngwie obviously xD)
@@yngwiemalmsteen5376 how can you judge by this cover whether Cesario is humble or not? He just enjoys his playing, that’s why he makes faces, it’s a totally normal thing among guitarists, Yngwie does that himself
Well, you certainly put the Mo in Elmo on this one. Both of yous. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Some very slick licks 😍. And yes, I found yet another gifted player to follow 😊. Well done, Elmo Are you Shreddy Karjalainen 👌
This motivates me to shred on bass. I cannot play a 1 to 1 solo and my bass sweepings sucks (very different to guitar with 3 fingers), but my speed can compete this. But the Original Malmsteen is I suppose faster than most cover players. Yngwie is a excentric nerd (like me). It is more challenge a halftone deeper to shred to this thing, but hey I play very rare bass. That is always fine ;-) If you have a a speed where you cannot hear the difference between minor and major, no problem. At least 20 tones a seconds a second in a solo and the fun begins ;-)
ok, just threw out my guitar! Elmo do you have a technique video showing the most common techniques, like ostinato, 3 string sweeps harmonic minor, which is basically his style?
Elmo...you two guys were fantastic, you succeeded in harmonically mining for gold. Now me, I probably would have jazzed it up a bit by throwing in some nice augmented licks and some red wine tasty major seven arpeggio sweeps, Bruce (who else)
Not into listening to shredding much, but this is one fricking hell of a display of awesome musicianship... Just an absolutely jaw-dropping job, you two. Encore, how about some Satch!
Fucking A. Meastros everywhere in Finland huh? 😂 Good stuff. Great tone from both of you and I love the back and forth. One of my fav things to see with two guitsrists. Very cool..
That's really good! If more is more. And less is also more. Why do more? I will have to work at shredding for a long time to get to that level if I can still do it. Their are other skills to spend time on when practicing guitar though.
As Uli Roth said: 'Try to find your own personal wavelength, and transmit it into your music" thats why you like players like Yngwie. Its no point sounding and playing exactly like him.

Really enjoyed this jam guys, gotta say tone wise the red Strat was much closer to Yngwie......but both played great. 🤟🏻
Tonewise, yeah, it's more "single coil-like" but I prefer Elmo's slightly fatter tone myself.
