Amazing studio vlog, as usual loved every minute from start to finish, you make it look so easy and simple, and I guess that all comes with time and practice, and of course believing in yourself and your ability, trying to do something that's out of your comfort zone, the more we do something the easier and better we become at doing it, in some respects its like riding a bike the first three or four times we'll probably fall off but we just get up dust ourselves off and start again never be put off by our mistakes but instead learn from them, by this l mean never be beat and never be afraid of making mistakes. Absolutely, couldn't agree more! Everything is scary and uncertain in the beginning. That's a great analogy! It almost becomes second nature. Mistakes definitely happen, and sometimes the equipment needs servicing and things can go wrong, but they are always learning curves and next time I can either fix the malfunction quicker or figure out the solution. what sublimation ink do you use? and what others would you recomend ?
What sublimation paper do you use?
I believe it’s called magic touch sublimation paper ☺️ I bought it in bulk a few years ago x
Can I ask you whether you include any warning labels in your products?
What brand of 3D printer do you use
I don't use one I'm afraid, I currently use a sublimation printer and/or laser cutter 😊
Can you sublimate on cotton fabric? For example on cotton shirt? Thanks
Hi Lina ☺️ There has to be some part of ‘polyester’ in the cotton for the sublimation ink to work correctly during the heat process. Best to search for sublimation tshirts and double check the materials listed. Hope this helps 😁

It doesn’t have a brand sorry! It was a quick purchase from Amazon for around £100 or so. As long as all the heat elements are even and consistent, you should create consistent results 😁

Hi Baileyann, and welcome :) This one was off amazon for around £99. It wasn't a branded one, but still does the same job. As long as it has a consistent heat source, most mug presses should be ok :)

No i mean where you buy the empty mousepads
I got them from a local supplier to me, in person. You could find them by searching for wholesale sublimation mouse mats and finding a local stockist/supplier ☺️👍🏼

Thank you. I use a rigid Mount board so that it’s thicker than card and can stand up on it own ☺️☺️

Hi Hannah, new sub here, love your studio! How long did it take you to set it up and did you start first from home and then moved to the studio? Also, can I ask how lasting is the Ricoh ink for sublimation, I want to buy a printer but haven’t decided which brand yet. Thanks!
Hi Myrna, thank you ☺️ I have been in business since 2013/ 2014, and decided to go full time straight away, and try and make it work from the beginning (I definitely don’t recommend this, but I wanted to dedicate all my time to making it work, and at the time didn’t have any commitments). I’ve always been at my studio space, but did start in a small tiny room before building this one. With light to general use (printing small areas on the paper, in comparison to printing the whole page in colour) my sublimation inks last around 10 months. If I have heavier use, they last a lot less. I tend to design things, were I can print multiple designs on one page to maximise the cost per print, and save wastage. For me, the ink is expensive at around £55 before VAT, but over the years I’ve been happy with the Printer and its results ☺️

Thank you. For the majority of what I do, I use my own lettering Mixed with a times new Roman or Georgia ☺️

Hi Maxine, the wholesaled I visited was country baskets (I think they have a few stores nationwide in the UK). It’s great for ribbons, decoration and seasonal items ☺️
