  • "Nineteen Sixty-Three" is a dance work choreographed by Kat Files, Founder and Artistic Director of the The F.I.L.E.S. Arts Project (TFAP), in honor of the 4 little girls, Addie Mae Collins (age 14), Denise McNair (age 11), Carole Robertson (age 14) , and Cynthia Wesley (age 14), killed at 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama. The work was first performed at The Ailey School in New York City, then a year later at the historic Carver Theatre in Birmingham, Alabama during TFAP's Summer Dance & Music Workshop/Showcase.
