Brown and prism are legit. Could pass as official if you didn't follow pokemon and picked it up you would think you missed out on a classic. Ps: I think the group is N-som-ni-art like a play on the word insomniac. Also your prof oak impression is great
Finished this game a couple months back and all I can say is wow! Great story and plays just as if it were a actual gen 1 game made by game freak. Highly recommend it.
Don’t know it anyone will get this, but speaking about things in games being out of place. I love Dark Souls 2, but I always found funny that in the area with all the poison and with Mytha - poison snake lady - the area just kinda looks like it goes up into the clouds once you get to the top. After beating mytha, you take an elevator that leads into the sky , but really it leads to a castle with lava and crap everywhere. Literally makes no sense, but I love it anyway. P.S. loved the video and actually downloaded Pokemon Brown onto my everdrive to play on my OG gameboy

It would be a Crystal Romhack where the main game is more in the style of gen 1 and the add-on would be more in the style of gen 2! I started a different version of the concept at one point that would've been a 3D open world Fan-Game instead but that's too much!

What you should check out I have physical game hack and all them use a battery make sure it comes with a battery or else when you make to elite four it won’t save when you beat the champion you’ll be stuck facing the champion over and over
do you know where to get a version that has the 2014 revision, or at the very least the 2009? I've asked a couple etsy sellers and they all only have the 2004, which is really strange
You can find them lots of places online pretty much anywhere you might think. I highly recommend checking out the roms first however as physical cartridges can be hit or miss when it comes to the quality of the cart.
It's actually a modded GBC. A teal one and I used a drop in backlight screen and changed the buttons to white. Not hard at all if you ever wanted to try
In my experience with this cartridge I came across some minor visual bugs. Occasionally certain moves would display in the top corner when used. Nothing that would prevent you from playing the game

I have the physical cartridge bought it last year with an actual battery if you buy rom hacks I recommend to make sure they have a battery

my biggest question i guess, is can pokemon be traded back and forth from brown and prism?
At least with my copy of Prism no. All of the trading and battle mechanics are disabled. Perhaps in a different version but not between my copies
