I lived in Nashville during the time Vrabel was coaching the Titans. I was there when they almost went to the Super Bowl in the 2019 season. He's a great coach in my opinion. I wish him all the best in Foxboro. Congratulations Coach Vrabel. 🏈🏆
Pumped for next season! I think it’s a great hire and I bet Mike is extremely motivated. He loves the patriots and probably wants nothing more than to be the guy who restores us to glory.
He was my first favorite Patriot back in 2003 I went to a patriots summer camp and I had gotten him to sign one of my jerseys. So I’m extremely excited that Mike’s coming home seventeen years later. Can’t wait for next season.
I was rewatching the Patriots Titans wild card play off game yesterday that the Titans won with Vrable the head coach. You know, since the Patriots are sitting at home now. Vrable is a smart football guy. Glad he will take over for the Patriots. He will lead the team, not just hang out with them and be all warm and fuzzy. Get the O line remade, get a few skill position weapons, get the defense back to its previous awesomeness, and things will be better for the Patriots and their fans.
Hopefully Mike Vrabel is more involved in the scouting process for us and he is involved on Draft Day before we go up to the podium and he is on the phone with whoever we draft just like how Jerod was with Drake and I'm hoping Vrabel & Drake develop a great working relationship as coach and quarterback
Everything has come full circle! Congratulations to coach Vrabel I never thought Mayo was the right fit, even before the 2024 team played their first game. Mayo was seemingly more concerned with DEI and far left ideologies, from what's been reported from the players inside the locker room. Don't expect miracles though in Coach Vrabel's first season. He's got to rebuild this disaster and instill his culture, but i have no doubt they'll at least be a .500 or better team next season. Let's GO!!
That is such a racist take why do you think we have equal opportunity written into most companies memos. Because there are lot of people out here are of different ethnicities not white that don’t get a fair chance at jobs. Was mayo was not perfect no did he make mistakes yes but so will Mike make mistakes along the way. Mayo didn’t get a fair chance here between roster construction bad draft picks bad signing and other factors.
With Kraft claiming money is not an issue, a fairly easy schedule in 2025 and all the worship Vrabel is getting, there should be absolutely no excuses this team should not be a wild card team next season.
Please listen carefully, NEP ownership: #1) You’ve got the experienced HC you actually wanted. #2) You’ve got a young, talented, TOUGH QB. #3) You’ve got the #4 draft pick in 2025. #4) You’ve got the most cap space (131.M) in the entire league at $131 million. #5) You’ve got NO EXCUSES to fail.
@goldenbear8250 chicken sh*t comment from you to begin with!! Mayo played for the patriots, coached the patriots. Same with with Vrable but he has a little coaching experience.. that's the only difference
My guess is they locked up Mayo they way they did because they thought Vrabel would be available. Couple Mayo’s struggles with Vrabel’s ongoing availability and this was probably inevitable.
I hope Vrable realizes which excellent players to keep and which ones to move. One thing I shook my head about with BB. Watching the playoffs, I see many former Patriots players playing at a high level on playoff teams. Makes me wonder why Belichick moved on from them a little too soon. Van Noy still playing and making plays, some former O line guys still excelling on other teams, Joe Thuney. So lame to not pay to keep some of the really good ones. Keep the good ones. Draft some better ones. Vrable not afraid to pay a top WR or two. He'll bring that mentality to the team. Let's go!!!
Good on the Krafts for choosing a PROVEN head coach with teams roots. Wish more team owners would be smarter than anointing someone who was pre-determined to take over. Someday, someone will select Jedd Fisch. Let them get outside the Belichick bubble and learn what it's like to run a successful program.
With Mike in as our coach, does he still keep our staff of Van Pelt and Covington? Or does Mike bring in his own Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator to replace those guys? Will Mike like his former mentor and coach Bill Belichick prioritize defense? Or will Mike be more offensively minded?
Hold my beer Gen Z. Let this millennial tell you about Ninkovich, Linebackers as TEs (Vrabel), and a man called Bruschi 😂. It’s not just a name in Ted. Every time they say Bruschi you shotgun a brewski. You’ll be out by the half. Hehe. Bruschi/brewski everywhere. And if they didn’t get you, good luck with Rodney. Or Milloy. A Guinness for McGinest
What’s with the idea that the only good coaches have to be former Patriots? It’s so stupid to limit yourself to such a small pool of candidates. Last I checked, Parcells and Belichick came from the Giants.
Loved Vrabel as a player and as a coach, but the league has passed him by. He put together a hard nosed tough football team in Tenn. But the league is a fast talent driven athletic league where the slow and hard working just do not have a chance anymore. Youre not going to out work and out compete Patrick Mahomes, hes just too good. You have to win with talent and i am not sure Vrabel wants to construct a team like that and i KNOW the Krafts are too cheap to pay for a roster like that.
Now watch what happens next! Next they gonna give the wht coach some help/tools so they can say it was just the blk guys fault…you people are ridiculous!!! *middle finger*
Such a predictable hirer. I thought they would’ve taken a swing at an offensive minded coach. Mike Vrabel was in a very weak division when he had success and was very mediocre. I think our defense will be OK but I don’t know if he has what it takes to get on another level offensive wise. Ryan Tannehill was mediocre at best and never really got better. Most decent NFLdefenses these days will give up 20 points but can you score 30 any given week, against top offenses?

Jerod doesn’t have a winning mentality.

He will
Dei hire
This should make the Pats atleast 7 and 10 next year.
Finally the Patriots do something right again!
Now bring Josh McDaniels back as OC.
Wolf at the least take a back seat...if not a ticket out of town.
Drive him to the airport myself. ✈

Good comments Dan. Especially about the experience Mayo did not have......................... (to be successful)

Mike Vrable and Donald Trump in the same off-season?
There is a God in heaven!
Praise God.
One out of two isn't bad.
Exactly

It's time to build back the DYNASTY !
Thank god it’s not a DEI.
When he goes 3-13 keep that RepukeliKKKan energy.
@@caribbeanradiology7004 Jerod Mayo was a DEI hire just like Kamala Harris. Both were a total disaster on multiple levels obviously.

Big risk, high reward. Who know what will happen, but the Pats need an overhaul at a lot of positions.

7-10 missed the playoffs next season.
That would be an improvement.
Please do not hire McDaniels as the OC...
Consensus pick for sure. Everyone seems happy. Now let's get him some decent players to work with besides Maye.
