Totally agree with you that the drive around Bohol is so lovely. Gives me that going-back-in-time nostalgic feeling. Simple old homes with pretty landscaping and so clean when you are out in the Bohol countryside. Enjoyed your video.

I like how you guys explore non-touristy areas, but at the same time, you must check out Coron and El Nino touristy, but you can do private boat tours. If you go up North, you must see Vigan, Baguio, Sagada, Rice Terraces, etc...Note: I appreciate how you guys are very open-minded and not picky at all, comparing Western/European standards to Asia. Happy Travel!

Try visiting Davao City one of the safest and cleanest city in the Philippines it has a chill city vibe as they say, if you want a beach vibe try going to Island Garden city of Samal its jus a 10-15 min ferry ride from Sasa Ferry Warf to get there you need to have a taxi or jeep ride in davao. Dont worry because davao city taxi drivers uses meter..

The tricycle trip that you had from that bus stop is a special trip that's why it's expensive. I am from Jagna,Bohol by the way. My tip for that travel is that ride a bus that will be going directly to Candijay,Bohol and you just have to stop in Guildulman and then ride a trike going to the accomodation so you can save a lot. I think the economy bus that you were in is only for Jagna that's why you took for another kilometers drive going to your accomodation. From Jagna to Guildulman is still quite far.
Hopefully you explore also my town which is Jagna. I can rest assure you that it is also a wonderful place to explore with your scooter. Lastly, thank you for visiting my province Bohol and yeah that's a good mindset to not talk to the people who are in the pier area, because it's expensive because of this so-called "special trip."
Please also try to explore Camuiguin Island. I think there is a trip from Jagna to Camiguin Island.

29:12 Judging from all the Christian imagery, that's probably a retreat, that becomes an AirBnB during off-season. The Philippines has a tradition of sending students to Catholic retreats right before graduation. It's kinda like a field trip, but pretty much just going somewhere nature-y, relaxing, group workshops, and maybe speeches. I have no idea why you had the problem earlier. Maybe they're not used to tourist bookings and was worried you might be the partying types. Heh

Mam and sir, tricycles are usually for many people, and they have their usual routes, just any other vehicles, so if you happen to ride for just the two of you, its gonna be pricey cause you will pay for the other seats, and depending on the distance of how far it is, the price will go up, so thats it, hope you understand, 😊

Borocay is the most touristy island in the Philippines. Bohol certainly isn’t, except for Panglo where Alona Beach is and the Chocolate Hills imo! You really don’t need such large backpacks, it’s so liberating to just carry one small backpack, so much easier! I’ve learned that just having a small carry on bag on planes etc is so much better!

Price treat is different from locals how much more if no system and inadequate facilitues quiet burden i guess.

The terminal fee is controlled by the port authorities, the government. So it's more like a tax for the port upkeep. Separate from the individual ticket prices of the different ferries. I wish they could consolidate it though. Sometimes there's even an environment fee and other such things, all controlled by different government agencies. All the counters is one of the reasons why travel in the islands is such a hassle. It's hugely inefficient. Even more so just a few years ago when things weren't even digitized.
