    Wow, this really was fun. Thanks for taking us along, Stevie! I would LOVE to go to a record fair in the UK one day! So many records you flipped through that are grails here! Cheers!

      Bought a couple of things but if not for the videoing (and lack of money) I would've spent longer and bought a few things. Lots of goodies on offer but quite pricey for the UK. I added you as the Cocteau prices were so high. They'll always do a deal but still a bit high, Cheers

    01:57 Ah, the sweet dulcet tone of a Devon record faire dealer surrounded by sales prospects. Looks like he came prepared with a handkerchief, thank goodness! And you preserved the special moment. I was half hoping he'd wipe his hand off on his trouser leg.....and then he did....and you left it in. Brilliant!!! 02:22 Marcel Duchamp called from the grave and he's extremely pissed off about that Sleaford Mods' jacket....

      You know my video of RSD was hampered by a woman, stood chatting in the middle of the shop with a constant, loud, and very obviously, covid cough!! The shop owner didnt shout 'Oi Covid chops, OUT'!! No she kept going. We had to step outside until she left! Selfish so n so.
      I left the chatter in as I had a long haul around holding the camera, which I know (in my heart) you really appreciate ; )
      I have a Marcel Duchamp book (as you know I would) and I think The Sleaford Mods are no necessarily approved by them (or maybe they are). My first sight of them was a video of them with a performance outside a shop (which ended in a fight). I next watched them on video giving a performance in a small venue (which ended in a fight). Their protégé 'Billy no Mates' (Tor Maries) is worth a look. I love her tomboy dance performance.

    Interesting stuff ‘Barbarism Begins At Home’ £95.00 is actually a decent price.That’s rarer than hens teeth in the U.K. You could probably get more than that to the right seller. ‘Like A Motorway’ at £15.00 is decent too. It looks like that had built a lot of wiggle room in those prices.Impressive set of records.

      Well with most of the chaps there there would be a bit of a deal to be had. If I remember correctly I had some stuff off of the centre stall last time (same chap) and it was priced at about £42 and he let me have them for £30. Its the classic 'If I were to buy all of these (3 records) what would be the best you could do'?
      I got 2 deals which I'll reveal in my next 'Deal or no deal' vid, yes wiggleroom!
      Not sure £95 is that cheap!! but all Smiths seems to have shot up. I cant believe they can stay that high but hey

    It appears not many sellers there Stevie but still a broad offering of vinyl. Ticket prices for some of the albums shown are a little strong but I imagine a deal could be done with the sellers.
    Hearing you were looking for Siouxie I would say a VG+ copy of Join Hands even for the ticket price of £20 is a good buy. The 12" of Kiss Them For Me is a good buy at £10 as long as at least VG+.

    • @SteviesVinylCupboard
      @SteviesVinylCupboard  ปีที่แล้ว

      One in the corner had come from Worcester!! but yes the quality on offer was good. A deal could, and indeed was, done but I did have to express my 'I'm not going to buy these but you know I am so give me a good deal' face. Lots of stuff if I had the money and maybe yes I should have had the the 12" of Kiss Them For Me. Only 6 sellers in the room but they bought a good lot of stuff each. Cheers

    I think that was the Waitrose of record fairs....top prices but plenty of cracking stuff 👍👍👍 I'm really fascinated by Japanese pressings with the obi strips.
    What was the Gary Numan record the chap mentioned,i only caught glimpses of it ???
    Would love to get a copy of live at leeds with all the gumph with it .
    Didnt you take home a copy of Quadrophenia ??? 😁😁😁😁 Those Numan Ornaments LPs,should be together in a box type set...i've already got it.
    Very good and comprehensive look at a record fair 👍🙂👍
    PS....I've got that copy of Ian Durys Do it yourself,its a British pressing .

    • @SteviesVinylCupboard
      @SteviesVinylCupboard  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes pricey but they'll do a deal most of them. I don't have Leeds Live either but it'll turn up sooner or later, It HAS too. There were two Quads but just too pricey for me , and you know I had better copies than those so... Not sure on the Gary Numan, can you remind me what time stamp abouts it is?
      Thanks, I would've gone on but at that angle leaning slightly forward with both arms raised makes the back ache, and my arthritis in my hand etc.
      PS I thought you would have the Dury, just checking ; )

      Nick, the Numan album is titled "Photograph". It's the Best Of compilation that was issued on Beggars Banquet in Germany in 1981.

    Hi Stevie, is what you got in a different video i may have missed? Pretty pricey stuff but that's what it's like right now i went to Reading last monday bank holiday and there was far more bargains there, more competitive and selection. About 3 1/2 minutes in someone was doing that whistling through their teeth thing. Annoying.
    Think the tune was Blur - to the end - though i might be wrong......

    • @SteviesVinylCupboard
      @SteviesVinylCupboard  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its in the next video coming up, will post it on Friday. I have been putting of any vinyl finds videos till I had some good quality stuff. However now I have 4 months worth, 30mins which I have tried to make entertaining and is difficult not to describe as a 'Vinyl Haul'.
      Yes this is quite rural and I think, 'they think' its a good hit for wealthy locals. I did get a couple of goodish deals. One where 2 LPs were £45, I paid 20 so got 25 off (although pricy) for exchanging 3 records that cost me 11. They were not interested in part exxing for the cheaper stuff I had! But overall yes not wonderfully competitive but as Hanna says in the comments lots of stuff they consider grails in the US.
      I can hear the odd bit of whistling, I was concentrating on ferreting about too notice. Rice Fields Michael commented about someone sneezing to much. These things are beyond my control.
      Look out for my picks next vid and I reveal all about the use of stuffed toys. Cheers

      @@SteviesVinylCupboard 'wealthy locals' lol. For sellers this is quite a thing. You know it's a bad day when buyers are having a tough decision over your £1 bin......

    Stevie, that Japanese Banshees album was only 75 quid. Super reasonable for a guy like you😁😁. Couldn’t see all the prices, I know it’s difficult when filming and browsing, but it seemed very pricey to a cheap old goat like me. All in good nick though. Hopefully you’ll show what you bought soon. I’m going to the record fair in Barcelona tomorrow, hope I see some interesting things at a reasonable price. Cheers.

    • @SteviesVinylCupboard
      @SteviesVinylCupboard  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There certainly was alot of pricey stuff. Because its quite rural and 'some' people in that town have a bit of money, they tend to bring some pricier stuff to tempt folk. And there's always a deal if you ask..usually.
      I got two lots and both gave me a deal/discount so I was happy. Yes in a couple of vids time I'l do a 'deal or no deal' vis and show you what I bought.
      Wow ANOTHER Spanish holiday (or is this the same one?) Well, if you want to get some arm/back ache you could show us around the fair? Be interesting to see whats in the Spanish bins. Just be carefull of pickpockets and dont get your phone snatched ok, cheers
