Winston Eleventeen Regardless of who she is, just watching the video I feel bad because it seemed like he didn't even acknowledge her after the shot. But in real life of course it's not a biggie.
This isn't entirely surprising to me though...I played MCLA club lax in college, and while we had no where near the skill level of regular NCAA guys, MLL guys or even some of the MIAA kids, there were a lot of muscle heads on the team and guys who could really rip shots. I feel like the ability to shoot really fast does not necessarily correlate with skill level, just strength and shooting form.
Yea you're right there's nothing impressive here, anyone can do it, let me go pump some weights and break some world records, brb... fucking dumbass LOL
So for those mentioning the crowd, I was there and the PA system was horrible for the whole halftime segment. We had no idea what was happening real time. I didn't even know the speed until I checked twitter on my phone. Some may have had a better spot for the sound, but from where I was, we were guessing from reactions on the field that he had won.
As a chicago native, this guy came to my high school during my freshman year. It was spring sports picture day and we had practice afterwards. One of the players on my team had a dad who knew him. Came over and did a sample shot during a break. My coach was behind the goal with a rader gun and helment. I think he did shoot 100+ miles. One of my favorite memories from my high school lacrosse days.
you people need to stop hating and admitting lacrosse is an unpopular sport. I could care less if its unpopular. Because at the moment more people are signing up for lacrosse than baseball. Just saying don't hate on one video from the all time unfamous all star game that no one goes too, hate on the amount of attention a newer official sport is getting. People don't walk into school talking about some other common sport broadcasted on espn top 10. They are most likely talking about that one sport that hardly anyone knows about, but looked so cool. Lacrosse is growing quite a bit, and I think people need to start realizing that
completelynew009 You've got to be kidding me. Your English is no better. You used single quotations on the outside and double inside. You used the ellipses the wrong way, and you didn't format them properly. When you use ellipses, try doing this ". . ."
I was at the game and we were in shock. The guys who worked the shooting cage for Warrior were amazed by him, as was the rest of the crowd. Everyone loved it that Z came out of nowhere, lot's of applause!
I could give a rats ass about lacrosse but it's pretty cool that a fan is able to compete and then actually beat the professionals at an event. Had to have been an awesome moment for the guy.
People are arguing about how other sports are better, but doesn't anyone realize that he just served that ball OVER A HUNDRED MILES PER HOUR?? That's faster than most people ever drive in a car! That's insane, and I'm happy for that guy for breaking the record.
Lacrosse is a savage game. Very tough, very skillful, very difficult. Its obvious by comments on here who has never played lax. Its an unbelievable game. There is no feeling like making a nasty split dodge leaving your defender in the dust to a plant and rip to the top corner on a high level goalie at 90+ mph. Its an insane feeling. Lacrosse was originally an old indian war game. People have died playing lacrosse....can the same be said of other sports?
@Peter Mok Hell nah, it was one dude on our team. This sum bitch could hit upper 90s on most of his shots. Dude could rip like a damn pro. Don't know why he never continued playing. Some of his shots did hit 3 digit.
Le reddit Armie is here. It seems like this guy could have improved his speed by a few if he was wearing a fedora, tipped a 90 degrees. It also might help him pick up some m'ladies.
It's like the guys that are long distance drivers in golf. Most, if not all, couldn't play on the tour but can out drive all the pros. If you practice one aspect of the sport enough you can become the best.
Although I am well aware that Lacrosse is not the most popular sport, it sure does beat 9 innings of baseball... Then again so does going to church, sitting in class, and even spending non-intercourse time with your girlfriend.
I'm from the US (New England) and grew up playing lacrosse. I currently watch college lax but not much MLL. I'll watch box lacrosse too if I see that it's on tv. It's definitely not a main stream sport in the US though, but growing pretty substantially.
He is wearing his hat the wrong LOL! The cap is supposed to go forward in order to protect the sung :) Although this is at night so wearing cap at this time is really not necessary either way :) Maybe he forgot he had a hat on LOL! :)
Breaks world record, only gets $1,000. Lacrosse.
Is already rich. Lacrosse.
Haha! Touche.
Lacrosse is growing so fast tho
Matt Siener yeah. Its looking hopeful. But big changes need to be made. Biggest one being mid high quality lacrosse equipment be a lot cheaper
Played on the same lax team in high school. Hes one hell of a goalie though but i never thought he would have this monster of a shot. Good for him
A $1,000 grand prize? you got to be kidding me. The MLL must really be scrapping for loose change.
i mean the players only get paid 20,000 - 50,000 a year beside rabil
I'm pretty late but not even that. The average MLL player makes 6,000 a year.
lol he went to his bro not his girl, the bromance
Gay guys don't play lacrosse! Jk it's an assumption, you could be right, but it's more likely that I'm correct, statistically.
I know him, that's his sister, not his girlfriend. She flew herself and her dad out to go support him!
Well, this is awkward..
Winston Eleventeen lies!
Winston Eleventeen Regardless of who she is, just watching the video I feel bad because it seemed like he didn't even acknowledge her after the shot. But in real life of course it's not a biggie.
Who is here 6 years later after the merger was announced? Gonna miss the MLL
after 8
What merger ?

Of course it doesn't...
No kidding. Guys can rip bombs in slow pitch softball but couldn't hit a pitch from a decent high school pitcher. Some things are just for spectacle.
You're right but it's still damn impressive
under pressure in the all star game? its pretty clutch. Its a world record, period.
Yea you're right there's nothing impressive here, anyone can do it, let me go pump some weights and break some world records, brb... fucking dumbass LOL

Everyone sitting near me had no idea what was happening. We heard the announcer scream and that was it.
Let the Zak Dorn replica pockets begin..
Brace Yourselves..
The crazy thing is, he shot that fast with two straights and a nylon so he must've had those top strings tight af
wakeboy717 lol i only use 1 shooter, no nylon and i like to think i can shoot pretty hard for a 14 yr old
+wakeboy717 no he just had a high pocket, so the ball sat right under the shooters.
0:56 That poor, poor girl.

This guy shoud be given a tryout now, just to see what else he can do on a lax field
0:57 LOL

I know right because these haters don't know lacrosse is played in most countries
The correct word is "couldn't", as in you could not care less. Saying you could care less, means you do in fact care at some level.
It’s also the fastest growing sport in the U.S.
Wow must be hard to get a world record in a sport with over 10 people playing
must be hard to start a youtube channel with over 10 people subscribed or watching.
Adam Bryan Yes I have 10 subscribers and yes that comment is relevant.
And there is 685,000 players in the us
bass MAN 'And there "IS" 685,000 players in the us'...English, dude, English!

last time i checked, there's no warning for death on a baseball glove
Lol that girl didnt get no love after he made the world record
I could give a rats ass about lacrosse but it's pretty cool that a fan is able to compete and then actually beat the professionals at an event. Had to have been an awesome moment for the guy.
he's not just a fan, he plays semi pro box lacrosse.
The crowd was so supportive😂
People are arguing about how other sports are better, but doesn't anyone realize that he just served that ball OVER A HUNDRED MILES PER HOUR?? That's faster than most people ever drive in a car! That's insane, and I'm happy for that guy for breaking the record.
Hahahah everyone was like who the fuck is this dude.
Awesome
I play baseball but lacrosse is a good sport this is really impressive
thank you finally a baseball player that respects lacrosse

shot like that is exactly why i stopped playing goalkeeper
Bro... come on... it's a rubber ball. I took triple digits all the time and I'm not a goalie, I'm a defender. Guess I was just too damn big😂
Jacob cap

The crowd was awful, he deserves at least some applause from them.
The crowd could not hear. The PA system was bad.

It's like the guys that are long distance drivers in golf. Most, if not all, couldn't play on the tour but can out drive all the pros. If you practice one aspect of the sport enough you can become the best.
i played against him last weekend...he's good
That's hilarious. "I've been practicing."
Although I am well aware that Lacrosse is not the most popular sport, it sure does beat 9 innings of baseball... Then again so does going to church, sitting in class, and even spending non-intercourse time with your girlfriend.
