It's a long one but it was a long 2 months of getting ready. Thank you so much for watching! Take care. I have an Amazon.ca associate link below for the backdrop stand.

Great video! First time seeing them in my feed! What I got out of it was how much hard work, heartache & sacrifice that goes into the whole process of doing a show for us shoppers. It gives me a better appreciation for all the crafters or any event we go to with booths/tables etc. Everyone, including us are always looking for “a deal” at China made mass produced prices...and that’s just not fair to you or anyone. I’m an original West Coast girl living on the East Coast & its your artistic creative ideas & homemade stuff I miss seeing from home. Not that ppl aren’t creative here...it’s just different. I loved all of what you made! All so stinkin’ CUTE and so many things I would have bought! I’m really bad at looking at older videos & asking questions...that were answered in newer ones. It warmed my heart to see your daughter helping you and how darn smart she was about the banner idea! May sound corny but I was literally RIVETED to the end. Appreciate it so much of you bringing us along on your journey. Can’t wait to get caught up on the others. TTFN!

Adrian Kap Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Thank you for understanding what goes into putting all this together and the time it takes to make our Crafts. You’re right about people thinking that they can have deals etc. A lot of time, creativity and love goes into all of this. It means so much that you see that. Thank you. Glad you found me. Hope you continue to enjoy my videos. Take care.

It's amazing how much, us, artists, beat up ourselves just bf big events. You make beautiful things that ppl who are not crafty will purchase. It's the self doubt though that makes us nervous. I often feel like that bf events. I mean some events I do very well and some not so well and some flop but make enough that I paid for the booth!!!! So just remember to take DEEP breaths through every process!!!! I was a single working mom for about 16 1/2 years so all monies invested into events....YES...I was a nervous wreck!!! God bless you!

It was great seeing the whole process. Thank you for doing this video. So many useful tips like how much your backdrop & banner made you stand out from the others around you, as well as what sold. It’s interesting seeing what sells & what doesn’t - it varies from show to show & even different times of day. The psychology of shoppers is quite fascinating.

Use felt by the yard for back drop sew the corners on your name banner in middle of back drop. Sew a fold over to make a rod pocket to hang the felt on your setup. Then just roll up and put in you bag with the setup. Felt holds up . I used it for my table cloths for my craft shows. I had 10 ft table. Doesn’t need ironing if u roll it, too. Lin

It’s a lot of time, work and can also be a lot of money. Thank you for sharing! During your down moment all I wanted to do was give you a hug and say "You can do it!" I feel...you NEVER EVER have to justify wanting it to look perfect. Great job. Everything is about learning from experience no matter how much you try to prepare yourself (I've been watching countless videos, 20 some and counting trying to get tons of help). Loved how it looked and all the hard work you did taking us all through each stage. I am hoping to have my first Christmas Bazaar under my belt in December and I'm already preparing with a ton of hesitation. The fair hasn't been scheduled yet and at the moment I can't get the time off work. I'm hoping a miracle will happen and it will all work out. You really helped me as far as a color scheme. I was floundering on what to do (mine is a ton of pastel+trying to include Christmas colors) but you reminded me not to go crazy, have a theme and stick with it. Hope to see more of your videos soon. 😊👍

Em Schrader Hi Thank you so much. Good luck with your show. I can’t believe you have to work that day. I’m sure things will work out by then. I did my second show just this past November and it went well. Now that I have my set up figured out most of what I made was profit this year. One thing I’ve learned is to do what you’re doing. Start now! I always wait until the fall and then I feel rushed. I’m actually drawing today and working on some new products to sell. Wishing you all the best. Do not hesitate. Just make your products, be proud of your style and what your making. You’ll do great! Take care.

What a cool video! Thank you so much! I've done a couple shows years ago. The fairs were more profitable than schools. The school craft shows I had a table at were meant mostly for kids doing Christmas shopping.
I'm back at it now hoping to use up craft supplies and sell for Mother's day at the local flea market during last couple weeks of April. Perhaps a couple of the larger fairs that happen in the Fall?
Your table looked perfect and your art work is so nice. You gave me wonderful ideas for displays. Husband is making various size and types of crates to sell and I'll most likely use a few in displays.

This was great! I am hoping to try my first craft fair soon! Definitely a scary thought. Haha. But I am excited to come up with a brand and style. Love what you did! I totally started to cry a bit when you talked about how excited you were that your daughter surprised you. I have a 3 year old son, and a 7 month old daughter, and it just made me cry to think about how they will grow up so fast!

My first craft show table was nowhere near of even posting a photo on my social media. I’m still in the process of figuring it out while taking it to another show. If mine were next to yours at a show, I’d quit in shame.

Thank you for making a great video. You are the only person I've seen make such a detailed video on craft fair prep. I really enjoyed learning as well as being entertained. The only thing I would say negatively is that you can't sell copyright products such as the Beauty and the Beast or the Wizard of Oz. That's illegal and as creators ourselves, it's important we don't do that to each other. Just watch for that. Otherwise, super products and great table set up. You really have a gift for making videos, both presenting and editing. This is the best video on TH-cam for craft fair prep. Your table is beautiful.

Exactly how I get...so anxious when I get myself all wound up after I sign myself up to do WAY TOO MUCH!! Trying to do this to get myself out of my comfort zone. I also do the buying way too much part!! Overthink myself into wanting to cancel things last minute at times.

Wow. You are super organised! I like the way you started with a theme & worked everything into it. Your products are gorgeous! I totally feel your nerves as I have done a couple of market stalls with decorated cakes & cake toppers. The thing is that most of the items you’ve bought will be used for more than one market stall so it seems like a lot for one market, but if you do one a month then you’re spreading that cost out.

Wow, I don’t usually watch an hour long TH-cam video but this was so engaging, I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next 😂. I love how you documented the whole process because it feels a lot like how I’d get ready for something like this. You did a great job making it look so good! My first craft fair is coming up this Saturday and I am nowhere near as prepared but I have a second one coming up beginning of December so I’ll have another month to get ready for that, and learn from the first one to find out what to do differently the next time.

I had signed up to do my first craft show and you have made me realize that I am NOT ready. I have been worrying about getting my products made and I haven't given any thought to 98% of the things you have in this video. No signs, no pouch for holding money, no backdrop nothing. I was panicking before but I am FREAKING OUT now!!! I'm thinking of dropping out now but I have spent over $200 on supplies and I really need to sell what I've made. Now I'm having an anxiety attack watching ALL you have done. Rethinking this idea of doing the show.

Lynn Aww Lynn I’m so sorry I freaked you out! You can do a show without all of that! I was one of the only ones there with a backdrop. You can make signs out of paper, keep your money in a shoe box... Please don’t drop out. There was anything and everything there yesterday and customers were at every booth. Go for it! Try it and learn as you go. I did all this preparing and there were things I did that worked and didn’t work. Things that sold well and things that didn’t sell at all. Just do it and see how you make out. You’ll be fine. Focus on your products. That’s what people are there to buy. You’ve already spent that money. Make your products and have fun with it.

Lynn As you can see I was freaking out this past week. It’s so hard to put yourself out there. It was fine though. I think to panic a little is completely normal. You’ll do great!

Lynn, I agree with Tanya, go for it. I have done several craft shows and you never know how people will be. I have seen everything from beautiful set up like Tanya's and people who basically just threw their products on the table and done just as well. It's very unpredictable. I would suggest you buy baskets (they are not expensive at thrift stores) a nice seasonal bow with prices well marked for the items (as a lot of people don't like to ask for prices) another thing that serves as is a little nudge is make a simple sign in a frame that says "Thank you for supporting your local crafters" a reminder to buy from you and not the big chains! Good luck and have fun.

1st shown stuff will be paid for over time.. 2nd, 3rd shows. So don't sweat if you only break even (or take a loss) on that stuff during 1st show: they're investments.

Hey! I just wanted to tell you that this video is so great and so detailed. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I am 2and a half months away from my first big and real craft show. I have done 2 other pop ups, one beinga farmers market n just made enough to cover my table fee (not bad) and another being at a friends studio opening and she had me as a guess so I made about $20 but had lots of exposure. Now this is a $350 fee for 3 days event and I am so nervous. I havent made any content on my channel in a very long time since veing a momof two n running a handmade business is crazy lol, but I'm very inspired to document my experience. I been looking up craft fair how tos and tips and tricks and I realized there arent many videos...Im not sure how much people actually search for this but I'll be glad like you to help someone else going throught this nerve recking time of our first show...i know is been a long time since you post this lol and you might have done more videos. I would love to connect with you on a personal level! Hope all is well specially businessand if you havegain more experience I would love to hear about it. Thank you!

Jolene The Tool Woman Taylor Hi, glad you liked it. Hope it helped. I just had my second show last weekend and it was nice this time that everything I sold was pretty much profit because I had spent all the money last year for the set up. Wishing you all the best with your upcoming show!!
